Catrike appears to be a well-engineered vehicle. Due to price considerations I chose a Trident Stowaway I and have enjoyed riding it. Though my X-seam is near the short end of the trike's range, with a bit of tweaking I'm gradually optimizing it to my frame. Next step is installing clipless pedals so I won't have to continually re-seat my shoes in the toe-clips.
Cool video. I ordered my catrike speed the other day and will hopefully have it in a week. Just in my test rides, these trikes are way more fun than an upright could ever be.
@jdubvdub hello and thanks for your comment. You are right about the "enjoyment" factor... trikes are a lot more comfortable to ride... the only draw back is climbing. You can't use your weight on the pedals to climb as opposed to upright riders. I can't wait to get back on my trike... the weather is getting warmer now. You've bought the high performance model there ! Have fun with your new trike ! You won't regret it specially with a speed model !
Aleziss, I also have a Catrike Trail, which I enjoy a great deal. I've had some of the same issues as yourself: adjusting brakes and noisy brakes. Adjusting the toe-in I'm not sure if I got it exactly right. My problem is that I'm wearing out tires too quickly; they seem to last only a couple of months. How is your tire wear? What kind of tires are you using?
@DougMaxStella Thanks for your interest ! About the toe-in issues, I've done a small video on how I did it. You can find it in my trike playlist. I've got my trike for 2 years now and I have put 2500km on it with the original tires (shwalbe marathon racer). The center of the tire now is pretty much now almost flush. You need to have a perfect toe-in if you want to get the most out of your tires. I suspect you need to calibrate the toe-in if yours last only a couple months or your ride alot !

Yes, Catrike is an awesome product. I've got an excellent service from them too (due to improper assembly of the dealer I got it from).
It's the only thing I would warn people before buying a trike is to be shure it is assembled and aligned properly.
Once everything is setup, it's a dream ride.
I wish you one soon !
Thanks for your comment.

Thank you very much for your comment ! Did you know that you did influence my choice in buying a trike ?
I stumble on your trike video and I told myself that this is what I wanted to ride.
I don't regret for one bit for choosing a trike. I really like riding it. Thanks to you !

I'm glad I was able to help! My other bikes spend most of the time hanging in the garage :) I can't stop riding the trike. They're just so much fun!
