Only dwarves are the best! Think a bit. Their cities are underground in the mountains and have only gate plus some side entrances. Men have huge cities surrounded by walls. In the event of a siege, what can be defended better? The mountain of course because every enemy troop will be forced in 1 spot while at men they will be all around the wall. Plus dwarves deal crushing blows to their enemies!

The East gate that they left through after Gandalf fell with the Balrog has no shade, which the orcs require, which is Khazad-dum was, which couldn't be crossed by massive amounts of soldiers. Plus the dwarves had booby traps throughout... But in the end, the awakening of the balrog did them in. And when the flame disappeared the goblins were able to finish off the last of the dwarves no problem. They had no trade or outside help for years. Thousands.

@JimTheJames No I don't reffer to Moria... i think it global... Moria was one of greatests fortresses of dwarfs.. and Moria hasn't only two enters to inside to it.. but other for example Lonely Mountain are not too much good.. For me the best fortress is Cirith Ungol :D :D :D

@FilipHrbek but the same goes there... you can easily block all paths to Cirith Ungul, and the tower doesn´t have big underground room where you can stash big amount of food. i actully rhink that Moria is one of the best places to be in, if you know it well enough to allways know where you are inside.

The whole Lord of the rings series, along with everything that Tolkin has written is most probably the best book series ever made by anyone, and his concept of elves is the base of every elven race for games. Tall, slim, immortal, long hair, masters at archery and songs... sounds familiar? I know it is probably impossible to continue his work because his idea is unique but... it really really would be the best series if it would continue... Story of Gondor, Rohan, Elves before, Numenors etc etc

There was some decent music on these games but EA should have used alot more of the original music Howard Shore composed, nothing comes close to his music. The Rise of the Witch King had some good ideas but things were rushed and poorly produced, it is evident that EA were just in it purely for the money by this stage.

It won't happen - EA lost its license to LotR (and about time, too).

You should try checking out The Lord of the Rings Online (MMO). It's easily the best LotR game to be released, and constantly has updates to it which expand the world of Middle-earth to explore. Not to mention, it does't rub Tolkien's lore in the dirt like EA did.
