This 911 call is quite disturbing. I'm shocked at how long it took Dispatch to send PD and EMS, "in" that order; 4:30. Ames Police Department is only 4 blocks from Casey's.

thanks to this and 2 other situation last year I applied for my concealed handgun permit and don't go anywhere without it. If story county had more responsible citizens with arms this situation could have been prevented. When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

The point of 911 is to occupy the caller so they can calmly describe what's happening. You'll notice they never stop asking questions. That's their job.

@verticallyblessed whoops. you must have missed the part when 911 put the caller on hold. they stopped asking questions. for quite some time. and in my opinion the 911 operator and/or supervisor should loose there job. (sorry i was getting upset and forgot it wasn't at you :) i will continue my comment elsewhere. be well.
