  • This solve is totally legit. It's the beginners method. He did not use OLL, OLL is solving the lasts layer in 1 step. He got lucky and got an edge cycle. So that's technicially PLL since he did it in 1 step.

  • Is that the Lars Petrus method?

  • from the looks of it, i think it was the beginner method until the permutation of the edges where he oriented the corners instead then did a 3 edge cycle algorithm

  • i am not saying i am better, but i have seen better, but hey, good job, i solve it in like 2 minutes or 1min and 30 seconds. and yeah, i noticed that you didn't use any pattern, can you teach me that?

  • nerds

  • its def not a reverse solve. i know this kid and he can acctually do it. i can too. check my vids, faster but still not fast enough, 22 is my record

  • hmmm anyone else see his simple reverse solve, he took no steps in actually solving the cube just went backwards since he messed up the cube before he started filming

  • obviously you don't have much of a clue on how to solve a Rubik's Cube, otherwise you would of seen his OLL. If your a novice at something then don't go dishing uninformed advice and criticism.

  • what up cuz. hows school?. btw i average under 40 everytime now. so were gonna have a rube off soon.

  • hey yo its me :) finally got 2 see ur face

u shuld try looking ahead when u put ur middle layer in and if ur hands are moving to fast u shuld slow down a little u should never be pausing im workin on that atm :D

  • hmm now only if u were my age lol

  • some ppl are so fast at this shit...

  • did that one have stickers on it ??????

  • Yeah. It's a cube just like this one...

tinyurl(dot)com/373oz3 (put . where the (dot) is)

  • did u put the first layer corners in then all the middle layer edges in one by one?? if so thats a rlly fast solve for that method

  • Yes, that is the method I use. I've gotten it in 27 seconds, but my average is like 40. If I would take the time to practice so I can do both at the same time I would probably be getting somewhere near 20 seconds :P

  • You can now view this video at:

    rubikvids(dot)com/v/7pIE2FP8ayI

Feel free to check it out there too :)

  • dude definately not sped up. he cubes against me all the time and averages like 40 something seconds. just cuz you cant do it that fast doesn't mean it cant be done by an average person.

  • if you think its been accelerated just listen to the birds in the background....obviously no acceleration

  • the video was obviously being edited to run faster.

  • lol...why do you say that and what makes it so "obvious"?

  • unnaturally high hand movements (see other fast solving vids, they are fast but they seem perfectly natural ) and a slightly high pitched click noise comming out of the cube as you turn it. It still is a fast solve but in my eyes the vid has been accelerated.

  • Nice analysis, but this video has not been edited at all. The hand movements are natural and that is the sound all cubes make. You can check out some of my other videos and you'll see what I'm talking about. Almost all of the rest of my videos are Quick Captures, so there's no way I could edit them.

If you want to see someone who's hands are so fast it's unnatural, search for "Harris Chan" or check out his videos in my Favorites :)

  • Very well done! Never seen this done before simply amazing.

  • I never good at this type of cub game.

  • 1)try lubrication your cube with silicone( if you havnt already)

    2) practice solving the cross without looking

3)you can see my channel for some good websites

  • Thanks for the tips. Can you buy silicone online?

  • thats pretty good! used to have a friend who was good at this.

  • eeh Harris, he uses keyhole already ;)

work on your cross. and just regular practice should take your times way down!

  • I don't have too much advice other than the obvious and stuff already said. Practice getting the cross in around 7 moves every time. Then after you get your intuitive f2l faster begin to expand the number of algorithms you know. Learn the 6 or 7 algs to orient the corners then learn the 21 PLL algs.

    Very good solve!

  • Hmm.. Cross looked kinda inefficient to me. Try to intuitively minimize the moves for that. Also, try to not execute the moves as fast as possible. I'd suggest trying to go VERY slowly, focussing on your techniques rather than speed.

When you learn the techniques properly, the speed comes naturally (after lots of practice).

  • You've got the finger tricks down, so just "look ahead" while you're doing the current pieces, so you don't ever stop turning. Yes learn the keyhole method, it's definitely faster

  • Your last layer was ok (3 look, 1 step skipped in 10 seconds), but your cross (10 seconds) and corners (10 seconds) need serious improvement!

With some practice you can reach about 25 seconds with that method and a regular 4 look youtube: watch?v=Hm6mpS7XL04)

  • Nice work and sweet timer!

  • nice solve man, if you learned intuive f2l, you could get in the 20's fer sure

  • Thanks. I know how to do intuitive, but I can't do it that fast yet. I'm going to keep working on it though :)

  • AWESOME

  • Nice you actually had a very easy LL. The OLL was only one or two mives different and it would have been the correct OLL. PLL looked like 3 edge. Overall looks good. Impressive for such a short time cubing.
