  • Awesome! My name is also Max Brand(b1979), and I found text about this Max Brand a few years ago, and have been very interested in him since then. I have always loved experimental music, and the history of musical instruments, so thank you for showing us this synthesizer....

  • You bastards! I hate you for owning this and not me!

  • hehe :) we don't actually own it --- it's located in a museum - we just had the opportunity to play it and create a cd with it! :)

  • Yes, we have all now agreed the synthesizer is from Bob's early period, maybe started around 1967 but certainly a project completed more around 1969. Brand made some amazing music and hopefully coming soon on CD?

  • yeah :) all historical details are now cleared!

  • Wrong date - it is from 1969 according to all the original design paperwork Bob Moog wrote in 1969. Wonderful video!

  • thanks ;) but where have you got that from (the date issue)? do you know this particular machine? it's basically a pre-moog, doesn't bear the company name on it, and was done before moog released his first modular machines in 1964!! the papers i saw said 1957-1959, with, of course, further improvements done up until later, but the basic layout and construction was from the late 50ies! ;)
