  • The way the audio cuts in and out drove me nuts watching this video, I'd rather there was a constant background noise, even if the guy wasn't saying anything. Regardless, the video itself was perfect. Finally, a clear example for the newbie craft user like me who wants to get a good idea of how things work

I know you showed it on the video but just thought to ask. Aloha.....

  • ur voice could not sound any gay-er ....

  • cto805 Look how nice his new model turned out. Don't be an ass. Nice vid. The camera was clear and showed the detail well.

  • you did a pretty bad job at cutting out the model from the mold,

you also should have used a mold release agent like silcone or vaseline

plus i cant stand you lisp

  • Hey there, I'm currently using Easycast resin and Pinkysil and i'm about to run out. It sets a bit TOO quickly so i'm considering changing brands. What is the demould time for Aldax silicones and resins? And what is the viscosity on them like?

    Cheers

  • haha it looks terrible

  • very helpful for my business! thanks!

  • Amazing

  • just two words... A MAZING!

thanks man, a very useful info =)

  • Bro, it is VERY important to apply a mould release agent to allow the product you are making a mould of to be able to be released from the materials without doing any harm to the mould itself. You can avoid cutting and at the same time; avoid having the materials stick to the figure or whatever you are working with. Use either a vaseline/patrolium based product; or a spray silicone release agent in and airasol can form. Give it a shot, Keep up the good work man! I do star wars helmets

  • I use disposable cups as mold boxes, they have nice taper so it's easy to push the mold snugly back into the box when casting and the mold never distorts even if you had multiple cuts in it. They also sit nice and square on the table while the resin cures.

  • Would this work for duplicating legos/megabloks?

  • that is what i want to know

  • @FrostR3b0rn

if it does, the lego company is in trouble

  • crap!!!

  • warhammer guys would love this cost saver :)

  • WOW...awsome vid man. Im doing the same thing now...but different figure 5/5. GOOD JOB! HELPED LOADS!

  • Can you please transcribe the comments into text or make some subtitles? I am not english and cant get the spoken instructions very well. Can read, though.

    BTW Awesome tutorial

  • You should have really have made a two part mold. All that cutting will ruin the detail of the mold, and that silicone is way to much money to waste. Also I use plaster bandages when i make a mold, but thats just me.

  • Yes, but once you have already made the cut and NOT damaged the mould then it gets easier.its just the risk when you are cutting because if you damage it youll stuff the whole thing up and waste alot of silicone

  • nice tutorial but iam annoyed to the voice girl or boy?

  • gurl for shure!

  • hee i is kinda ok but you really don't need to mix that much bronze powder you can used less!!! take care

  • any specific store where you can buy that silicone?

  • You should have done it in halves so you don't have to cut it.

  • what is that blue stuff?

  • Dyed silicone

  • This was very helpful to me. Thank you very much!

  • cool

  • Can the figurine be gypsum or would the mold making material ruin the original?

    Thanks.

  • For that figure you probably would have been better off doing a two part mold.

  • @PersonNo1 How come? Looks like his technique worked pretty well.

  • This video is just what I have been looking for I am making wine cork toppers!!!! great video!!

  • Nice knight figure.

    Where can i buy one?

  • can you use silicone that they sell at home depot?

  • How much would the supplies to make it cost? Other then the bottle and clay

  • also would hobby lobby cary these?

  • Great to sit down and watch a video that is informative and enjoyable.Good to see people share their knowledge..Thanks

  • Very useful video, thanks!

  • cant i use this mold with bismuth or for a metal cast?
