  • i bought 2 of these for my ride, this way i can have some quality bass, yet retain the use of my trunk

  • to me 10" subs sound the best in a car 8" is not enough and everything bigger is way too boomy. while for a home hi-fi system 12" sounds better. that is my opinion ofcourse

  • have the same subs bro, wid my 1000W quantum amp.. i've been using'em with sealed box but just ordered ported box.. can't wait!

  • are the good subs?what kind of amp should i get for these subs

  • @aztecmexican7 I think they are pretty good subs. They are not the best you can get, but they do the job pretty good. I'd go with a Kenwood KAC-8105D amp. That is what replaced the KAC-8104D, which is what I had hooked up them, and it hit pretty good.

  • "breaking in" usually takes about 80 hours of play time to get the sub with some flex

  • @omgitscollin Well, I have heard some people say they break in their subs, and others scoff at the idea. I have never heard of it until I read about it on here. However, it does seem the longer I use my subs (from their first use) the better they sound. So, maybe there is some truth to it....

  • @djhubba the only reason some people dont like it is because others wire them really low at high voltage for a set time that way on first use they get better. it doesnt matter if you like it or not, the longer you use them the louder they'll get until you have them fully broken in then they are as loud as you can get

  • @omgitscollin really i hear 15-20 hours of playing mine just broke in and im gunna sell it got one 12 inch of this woofer trade it in for 2 10's of this

  • @vespaT27 it depends on the ohm load and the power rating of the sub/amp, if your underpowering them then itll take longer since it doesnt seem like hes running alot of true RMS itll take longer

  • would you recomend these over 10in kicker comp?

  • @jsk8drummer i was at bestbuy and everyone there said these are way better value

  • @jsk8drummer yes kicker is garbage

  • @18abVFL ended up getting a 10in. alpine type r with alpine mrp-500 amp

  • @jsk8drummer thats a beautiful bro! thats what i'm running right now, except instead of the alpine amp im using a rockford fosgate R500-1

  • @18abVFL its better than kenwood. everyones entitles to their opinion though.

  • what song is this?

  • @standalonefighter It's "Debonaire Bug's Out To It" from TV's Greatest Bass Hits

  • i have these same subwoofers and should i break them in?

  • @sweetzkid I never broke mine in. I have heard that people do that, but the instruction manuals don't call for it, so I don't. I don't think you need to.

  • @djhubba lol breaking in? how do you do that lol

  • @adidasDC I don't know. Maybe someone on here can enlighten both of us.

  • would this amp be good for a ten inch dayton sub? let me know its really cheap just trying to get a good deal, thanks.

  • What is the model number of the Dayton subwoofer do you plan to use? If is something like the Dayton RSS265HF-4 10" Reference HF, then I'd say probably ok. I'm not real familiar with Dayton, so I can't say with 100% confidence that it would be a good fit. Remember, you get what you pay for.

  • Which is better for these subs ported box or sealed???

  • Well, I guess that could be a hard question to answer. Some people like ported better while others like sealed. With a sealed box you get a "tighter" bass. Whereas with a ported box, you have more of a "boomier" bass. If you like rock or country...sealed .....and if you like rap and pop..then ported. Of course this is just an opinion, but it seems to be the majority of the people would agree.... not all people...just most. So, it would really be a matter of taste for you.

  • tHANKs man appreciate u taking time to anwnser ma ???

  • would a kac-7204 2-channel 1000w amp work good with thos 2 10 inches

  • Yeah, sure it would work pretty good. You can get a MAX of 500 watts x 2 with it. If you bridge the amp you can get a RMS of 500 watts which is fairly decent. I had thought about getting a 7204 to power my front door speakers.

  • In my experience, 2 10s isn't SIGNIFICANTLY louder than a single 10, but just will handle more power and produce a slightly higher SPL level. If you're going from factory system to a good single 10 with good power, you probably won't notice the extra 10 volume THAT easily. You'll be blown away with the ONE 10.....you'd be surprised how good a single 10 in a GOOD box can sound!

  • Yeah, your box will make a huge difference. I have a sealed enclosure right now and I'm thinking about getting a ported one.

  • Ya dude go on ebay I found a nice dual 10 vented enclosure for $75, not just regular ported, but the whole "L" slots and everything, sounds killer.....best you can get.....beats the hell out of sealed enclosures for most subs....

  • Are two 10"s really that much better than having just a single 10"?

  • Well, I don't know for sure as I have never used just one. But using two would seem to move more air and produce more bass than just one.

  • im looking for a thousand w amp and i heard this one cuts out sometimes. Has yours ever cut out?

  • No, mine has never cut out on me. That's not to say it won't ever, it just hasn't on me and I've been running it for over a year now.

  • Ya I was gonna ask the same thing, I have the same amp and it was pushing a pair of JLw0s at 2.1ohms and kept cutting out, then I switched to Memphis 10s, same impedance, and it ended up frying the 60A power fuse under the hood. It seems this particular amp doesn't like full power at 2 ohm load......doesn't get hot, but cuts out for unkown, possibly ohm related reason. Works GREAT@4ohms...

  • Hmm... I don't know why it would cut out. I have never had that happen before with this amp and I've been using it for over a year. I'm considering a jump to the bigger KAC-9104D and I hope I don't have any problems with that one either.

  • im getting the same setup what amp are u using and how much did the whole setup cost u

  • I'm using a Kenwood KAC-8104D amplifier. It's rated at 500 watts x 1 at 2 ohms, that's RMS. Max rating, is 1000 x 1 at 2 ohms. I bought everything on eBay. The KAC-8104D amp was about $120, the two subs were right around $100, the box was about $60, the smaller Kenwood KAC-6202 amp was around $80, the tweeters were $40, and my head unit was about $260. So for the whole set up I spent about $660 or so. I have since blew up the tweeters and replaced them twice. Oh well.....

  • That $260 for the Head unit was not for the Clarion. It was for the KDC-X990. Also, the Sirius radio is the Sportster 5 that I also bought on eBay for about $100. I still have that in the Jeep, too.

  • did u install it urslef

  • Yep, I did all the install myself. Didn't really take very long. Maybe two or three hours total. (if that)

  • @djhubba how much power do u give 1 i got 1 and i dnt wanna spen much on a amp help me tell me a good amp for 1 that will not underpower it and not blow it :) thanks! :)

  • Well, if you use the same amp I have, the KAC-8104D, on just one of the same type of sub I have (KFC-W2511) you can get 300 watts of RMS power at 4 ohms. If you use 2 ohms of resistance then you can increase that to 500 watts of RMS power. You can find the KAC-8104D on eBay or Amazon for about $100. Cheaper amps you could use: Sony or Pioneer. Just make sure your RMS is as close to the same as your subwoofer RMS rating. Remember, you get what you pay for, cheaper is not necessarily better.

  • u think those posts on ebay are legit for the subwoofers

  • Yes, mostly. I got all my stuff from eBay. You just have to be careful and check out the feedback of the sellers. If they have a 99 or 100% positive feedback they are most likely good deals. Also, it's best to buy items that are listed as New or NIB. I have been buying from eBay since 1998 and have never had a problem with anything. Also, if you pay the seller using Paypal and you get screwed....they will help you get your money back. However, nothing is ever really a guarantee.

  • ya i put a single 10" in my chrysler lebaron convertible and it definitely bumps. 1000 watt sub with a 400 watt amp, and it still sounds amazing.

  • What kind of amp are you using?

  • a 2/1 channel jensen

  • that's the same setup im getting. the Kenwood KAC-8104D amp with two 10" Kenwood KFC-W2511.

  • You should be pretty happy with it. What is your vehicle?

  • 1988 Chevy s10 Blazer

  • I was thinking of getting 1 kenwood KFC-W2512 10" plus Alpine - 500W Class D Mono MOSFET for my truck, do you think I'll still get a fair amount of kick?

My truck is a 98' Chevy extended cab, so not much room for subs, so I can only fit one, but I'm hoping for some nice kick in it.

  • Yeah, it'll kick ok. But to move the air better it would be best to have two of them. I think if I was going with only one, I'd go with a 12, but that's just my opinion.

  • I was thinking about that, but the way my truck is built, it is hard enough to just get 1 cu. ft of for a 10, building a case for a 12 would require me pulling out some of the siding.

  • I did the KFC-W2511 in a sealed truck box in a regular cab pickup, so I'm working with much smaller space. But I build my own custom box and managed 2 cu/ft. So, I would prefer to build a custom sealed box with two 12's (or KFC-W3012's) and get a bigger amp, maybe match the total RMS.

  • How much air space do you have in the box?

  • I have two separate chambers with each having .75 cf of space for a combined total of 1.5 cf.

  • Hey was your amp just skrewed into the top of your sub box?

  • Yes, one of my amps is attached to the top of my woofer box. It's not the one driving the subs though, it's the one driving my tweeters. It's a Kenwood KAC-6202. The one pushing the subs is a Kenwood KAC-8104D.

  • pioneer sucks ass fukin kickers are the way to go. but kenwoods are pretty good

  • Memphis Are the best

  • pioneer subs are da best

  • pioneer subs suck dick

  • pioneer subs are the best even if you tired you wouldn't be able to blow the sub.

  • ya good one pioneer subs blow

  • well they are better than your subs so whateverh

  • better than my 2 12 inch jl w3's? i dont fukin think so

  • re subs or memphis or fi subs would eat youre jls boss

  • ya i dont think so

  • yeah i dont think you know what youre talking about boss.

  • what year model are these

  • I think they came out in 2007, not 100% positive though.

  • dude im liking this cuz it dosent shake or rattel your car an thats what im lookin for nice job on em i probly just gunna get one 10" i got a small hatchback so that should be good enougf for that

  • They'd be perfect for you hatchback. They are pretty loud, may rattle your car though. I guess it depends on your amp.

  • FUCKED UP...I JUST BYE one like that..80$, brand new..I Will se that in 2 days..

  • I paid $92 for the pair.

  • well these are just as good as Fi audio.

  • does it sound pretty good.....?????

  • Yes. Sounds great. It's very loud and very clear.

  • how many watts is your amp

  • It's 1000 Watts Max at 2 Ohms and 500 Watts RMS at 2 Ohms..

  • Well, I think it's pretty loud. Can't be heard blocks away, but my kids say they can hear me coming before they can see me.

  • this setup loud? are u heard from blocks away? i wanna cuz i might get the same setup. plz respond asap. thanks. props.
