You're completely right, KEY was definitely targeted at a younger demographic. Which is completely fine by me, I'm glad Nintendo has a diverse audience and that they tend to try new things. I personally prefer this older style of Kirby because it is more challenging and nostalgic. I still like the Epic Yarn universe and hope Nintendo does more epic yarn titles in the future.

this HAS to be that GC kirby game! listed to the music at 0:14 . it sounds like the one from the GC kirby comercial, plus the waddlebots (the GC one had the robo dedede thing. this game must have something with robots.) and water kirby's hat is similar, but this one is graphically updated

Kirby's Epic Yarn was good truely entertaining. But this New Kirby Wii Game is truely....Epic.

It's been long since they did this since "Kirby 64: Crystal Shards". However, I do except Fun Sub-Games like they did in the Past, Epic Yarn Sub was too childish.

I guess theres been a lot of changes. Instead of "Super Star", looks like an Epic Version of "Dream Land".

The game looks great. It reminds me of SSBB, where each character (in this case it's each of Kirby's forms) get a final attack that is different from 1 another. And if u notice,Kirby inhaled those enemies and when spat out, the star actually stopped, and then moved on after the the objects were destroyed. Also in SSBB, if if someone used an attack (Ex. Luigi's up smash) both Luigi and his victim will stay if the same exact place and then it will resume.

Melee was a total fluke, really. It was a rushed game. Sakurai left HAL to make Brawl, but he took all his habits with him. Subspace emissary plays just like a Kirby game. Even Kid Icarus feels like a Kirby game in the way that the enemies fly off and pop when they die.

@hextupleyoodot I completely disagree with what you said about Melee I loved that game if you want to see A Rushed Game go look at ET for Atari, Superman 64, Indiana Jones for Nintendo 64 and Sonic 06 those were rushed games. Melee isn't rushed think of the technology back in 2001 Melee was one of the launch titles plus putting Games on CD was really new to Nintendo.

@Iam1984Terminator You can disagree all you want, but that doesn't change the fact that both HAL and Sakurai rush all of their games and shamelessly recycles assets all the time. You can't blame technology. Over 1/5 of the characters were clones. The adventure mode assets were horribly thrown together with very little effort in the way of level design or animation.

Yeah, it's a great game, but only because its multiplayer aspect was the one thing that worked really well.

@Iam1984Terminator I'm glad you enjoyed it, but that doesn't mean the quality of those in-game assets is up to par with other Nintendo products. They could take the time to polish things if they wanted, but they choose instead to release a game with far less regard to visual completion. The games are fun to play, but they're certainly not the best looking, and if they're larger scale, they often contain glitches that are all too easy to exploit.

HAL makes good games, but they're rushed into completion to the point where visuals suffer, and/or assets are constantly reused without shame. They're plenty fun to play, regardless of this fact. Just look at how SSBM sounds were reused in Kirby Air Ride, SSBB assets are in Kid Icarus: Uprising (made by Sakurai of HAL), and how half of the kirby handhelds have the same exact Kirby sprites. There's no denying it.
