@StuDubClub This was filmed with two different cameras. The Sony HDV-Z1 and the Sony XDCAM EX1. That's why you see also differences in colour and exposure in Side-by-Side. Both cameras on a very simple selfmade Side-by-Side rig.

In postproduction I used Stereo 3D Toolbox and I had to enlarge the HDV-Z1 picture slightly.

YouTube hat doch schon lange eine 3D Funktion. Du hättest das Video doch einfach SBS (So, dass linkes und rechtes bild jeweils die breitenhälfte einnehmen) hochladen können und den 3D Modus aktivieren.

Wie hast du so eine Aufnahme gemacht ? Nach bearbeitet oder mit einer 3D Kamera (falls es sowas gibt) ?

2 Kameras nebeneinander - möglichst mit ähnlicher Linse oder 2 gleiche Kameras.

Auf den Abstand achten (siehe 3D-Infos bei Wikipedia) - anschließend in Final Cut Pro mit dem 3D-PlugIn Stereo 3D Toolbox bearbeitet; aber wichtig ist, dass die Aufnahme stimmt - synchron etc.

3D-Kamera gibt es ja jetzt bereits was von Panasonic (18.000 Euro) - aber mit Geduld und Bastelei kann man sich auch aus zwei kleinen Kameras (z.B. Canon aus der HV-Serie) was bauen - dazu gibt es einige Foren.

Really nice work. Most of the anaglyph video's on YouTube are just plain crap, this one is brilliant!

The Video quality is really impressive considering that it can be watched on nearly any monitor. On my 24" IPS Panel it creates a nice impression of depth. Also their isn't a whole lot of ghosting.

I think Red/Cyan is a good solution for causal 3D users.

Their are off course some problems such as Color Offset and Chroma but the only major problem I see is Scenes with a whole lot of blue close to Cyan which may often occure with the sky as also seen on this video.

Thanks a lot. It was filmed with a Sony PMW-EX1 and a Sony HVR-Z1 on an improvised side-by-side rig. Because of the different cameras, there were some additional adjustements to make afterwards in editing (on a MAC with Final Cut Pro and the Plug-In Stereo3D Toolbox). But it shows, even with two different cameras and some testing, you can get decent results.

That is superb. There is virtually no ghosting. If all Red/Cyan 3D was this good, there would be no need for digital polarized 3D!

klasse Arbeit... wieso aber immer nur von einem Standpunkt aus? Es wäre mal interessant zu sehen wie sich der 3D-Effekt zur Geltung kommt wenn man mit der Kamera durch die Gegend läuft.

Vielen Dank für den Kommentar. Na klar, mit der Kamera durch die Gegend wäre nicht schlecht, ging aber bei dem Aufbau nicht. Ich habe eine Sony EX1 und eine Sony Z1 benutzt, das ganze parallel und ziemlich unhandlich. Am besten wäre natürlich ein Steadicam-System für so etwas oder zwei kleine FullHD-Camcorder.
