  • said it all

  • Is that the harmonic minor scale?. Excellent playing!

  • hey i absolutely envy that sound, not even the shred, i just love those screaming notes, how do you get that?! Is it kickass pickups, compressor, technique, the wah or a mixture? please explain

  • Wow dude amazing playing and beautiful guitar you got there. What wah pedal did you use?

  • @TheMetalhead804 Many thanks! I'm using a Jim Dunlop original CryBaby here.

  • It's nice to see someone who knows how to mix their signal. Great solo!

  • would you recomened this guitar for someone who's use to the profile of a Jackson or ESP?

  • @ebihn14 Hi there, I've never played an ESP and used to own a Jackson. The Mocking bird is similar to the Jackson I had, perhaps a little fuller in the hand. It's on the chunky side (but not as much as a Les Paul) and the fretboard radius feels quite flat.

  • @Nickstermc thanks man

  • Hi, awesome sound, I love it!!

But I have a question about the guitar.. is it a original floyd rose or a floyd rose 1000? And does it stay in tune? :)

I think I am going to buy a mockingbird :D

    Reo

  • @Reo303halo When I bought the guitar ( a few years ago now) the spec sheet said 'Original Floyd Rose'. Now the BC Rich website says FR1000 fitted so I would assume that's what you'll get. I think the distinction is that the FR1000's are Korean made and the OFR's are German. I have had zero issues with mine, very stable tuning and works as it should. I also have a Fender Custom Shop strat which is definitely fitted with an OFR and I can't tell the difference between them in terms of performance.

  • @Nickstermc Cool, thanks ;)

Keep rocking, I love your work ;)

    Reo

  • @Nickstermc Hay, I got my BC Rich Mockingbird ST today, and it plays and sounds like a dream !! :D

    I absolutely love it!

    Reo

  • I think the soloings going really well... yeah.

  • you are awesome! :O

  • sweet

  • Is it standard E tuning or...?

    Thanks

  • @NitrogenOverdrive Standard E tuning.

  • @Nickstermc

    Thank you :)

  • GREAT PLAYING DÜDE, i love that tone, thanks for the demo

  • thats really good man.

  • play very well what is your amp and the guitar otherwise not find any error?

  • No actual amp. I'm using a Boss GT-pro which has an amp modeller. The amp model I'm using here is a model of a MESA Dual Rectifier.

  • Epic.

  • wow. you have an amazing tone on that guitar.

    I LOVE YOUR MUSIC

which strings do you use on the mockingbird?

  • Hi there, the strings are probably D'addario XL's 9-42

  • Great job ! I probably want to buy a guitar, can you say me if this BC Rich Mockingbird is a good choice ?

  • That really sounds awesome man, what effects are you using?

  • Wow man, that sounds fantastic! What scales are you using?!

  • Hey man!! I have the same guitar, good tone, goode sustain, good tremolo... but i have a question: What can i do to make the termolo bar is fixed without unscrewed when I use?

    Thanks!!

    Good video!

  • B.C. RICHES DO NOT SUCK! Only budget guitars suck.. Before you talk shit about B.CRich... Learn up about the Rich Biches

  • Do you get out of tune very often with this guitar? cause I heard this tremolo guitar don't get a good tune stability. thanks for the answer.

  • Nope, I find the trem really stable and rarely have to tune it.

  • thanks a lot dude

  • Not particularly.

  • many people say that bc rich sucks .. in my city i don't have the posibility to try one so i would like to know what you think about the guitar ? i'm thinking of buying one so please tell me what you like and what you don't at this guitar :D

  • I think in the past BC Rich have been guilty of building some rotten 'budget' guitars. However, I think those days are gone. In my opinion this guitar holds its own against guitars many times its price. I know these guitars have gone up in price recently but I still reckon they're great value for money. They have their own unique character but I like them very much. I don't think you'd be disappointed with it, but....be careful! Personally, I've never bought a guitar I haven't tried first.

  • TEACH ME MASTER

  • Freaking amazing, man! But, those pickups are active or passive? I'm looking for one of this guitars :B

  • @TallAskara Hi there, cheers for the comment, the pickups are passive.

  • heii dude i love this solo that you play i have a question is the floyd a good one i heard ids not a good floyd because the floyd dont flutter and stays bad in tune can you please help me out ? :s

  • Hey man did you have to do any adjustments when you got it? Like to lower the action?

  • Yep I got the guitar tech at the store to lower the action a little bit. It plays great.

  • Hey man. Im a very experience guitar player, and I really want this. I also wanna get into neoclassical sweeps and stuff, is the neck fast and comfortable?

  • It's a comfortable neck. It's quite like a Les Paul neck, so it's not the thinnest but I have no problems playing fast on it.

  • can you change the pickups on that guitar or will all the knobs and switches prevent that?

  • Hi! nice playing! what would you recomend me to buy: one mockingbird like yours or an epiphone lespaul? i like to play songs from metallica, guns and roses, megadeth, iron maiden, nirvana and a little of nu metal like korn???? of course i have my songs haha but all my songs sometimes are like metallica, sometimes like korn, sometimes like guns haha so could you help me please?

  • Hi there, the Mockingbird is a great guitar but by the sound of all the stuff you like to play you'll want to be able to change tunings a lot. i.e drop the tuning down for Korn/ nu-metal stuff or even just drop it a half-step to play along with GnR. The Floyd Rose on the Mockingbird will make doing that very difficult. It's dead easy on the Les-Paul (fixed bridge). Check out the Epiphone Silverburst LP. V.cool guitar! However, if you really want a Mockingbird there are fixed bridge models.

  • hei dude stayas the floyd rose good in tune?

  • under 400? you son of a... man in the us they sell those for 600 and up... i have to move to europe...

  • @ninjaassassin27 lol the euro cost more then the dollar. It will cost the same the only differnce is that you use a differnt form of money.

  • SCOTLAND !!!

  • Nice playing man!!Just ordered one, cant wait to play it!!

  • That sounds exactly like Double Talkin' Jive by Guns N' Roses.

  • You are awsome :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

How long have you been playing guitar? :D

    Reo

  • that sustain is awesome

  • bestial floyd rose in 0:26

  • nice one enjoyed that :)

  • what amp u use Awsome playing dude

  • it was kickass

but where the hell did u get it for 380

  • Hey im thinking of buying a Mockingbird Pro x and i wonder if you have tried playing it as there isn't one to be tried anywhere even remotely close to me so.. if you have tried it give ma an opinion thanks

  • Fucking nice played love the dimebag squal at 0:43 gives me chills

  • good playing but LMFAO AT FACE AT 0:47 ROFL!

  • killer!

  • awesome playing dude!! i was thinking about buying one as well, but i know there is a difference in the quality of which country it´s made in,its either US or Japan model or something, which is yours?

  • great paying dude! i love it! and the guitar, i was thinking of buying one, but where the hell did you get it from for £400????

  • I bought it in Guitarguitar in Glasgow. When I bought it (March 2008) that was the RRP!! Pretty soon after , BC Rich jacked the price up. :(

  • @Nickstermc Ah........ looks like I'm gonna have to keep savin then. lol. It was about £600 last year but now its dropped to about £500 ish again

  • Great playing man! I am thinking of buying the same guitar but was wondering if it came with an Original Floyd Rose that was made in Germany?

  • It's definitely an original floyd rose. Where it was made, I'm not sure.

  • @Nickstermc you can open the backpart of the guitar were the floyd can be ajusted and there it says

  • @Nickstermc you can open the backpart of the guitar were the floyd can be ajusted and there it says

  • @guitarjwk The "Original Floyd Rose" trem unit is made in Germany yes, but the guitar itself is constructed in Korea.

  • @SuperGuitarNerd thanks for the help

  • @guitarjwk thats the funny thing about "origonal" floyd roses

theirs the cheap floyd rose ones

theirs the "fake" real origonal floyd rose ones

and then theirs the REAL origonal floyd

i had a epiphone futura fx. it said origonal floyd rose, but i was no better than the cheap floyd on my jackson. then i bought one of ebay that actualy says made in germany...o man what a difrence.

  • @CemetaryGatesML the real OFR is made in germany you can find them on some high end guitars

  • @guitarjwk ya but their are some fake OFR out their

  • @CemetaryGatesML the real one is made by a German company called shaller (i spelled that wrong) in germany. if it is made by them its real

  • that's awesome man! =D i was thinking of buying this, it looks like pretty damn awesome guitar. i was just wondering, what amp did you use her?

  • No actual amp. I'm using a Boss GT-pro which has an amp modeller. The amp model I'm using here is a model of a MESA Dual Rectifier.

  • Hey can anyone tell me, what happened to the honey burst model? I would like to see that one played :P. Plus, If I want to buy this, I would much rather prefer the honey burst.

  • That is guitar played with feeling taken to the extreme, you are some musician mate.

  • hey man amazing playing. but is the neck chunky on the mockingbird? or is it thin enough to shred?

  • is his guitar good to play blues and hard rock??cause everybody are saying that the b.c rich guitars are just for metal

  • excuse me, i forget the T..what i meant is THIS guitar good to play blues and hard rock..

    xcuse my english please

  • @gabilxc It's a bit probelmatic to bend a string while plucking another at the same time. Guess thats 'cause of the floyd rose, but still. I most say, this is the most beautiful piece of wood I have ever seen, it's cheap and has a really cool sound! I'm not regretting a percent 'bout buying this guitar.

    xcuse me, I'm norwegian :p

  • Yeah, I would say it is. The Rockfield pickups are pretty versatile. You've also got coil taps and a varitone filter switch to tweak the sound. The pickups are subtle enough to get nice overdriven sounds out of. It's not just a 'melt your face off' metal guitar.

  • hei sorry i have a questin whats the price of this mockinbird

  • They're good for just about anything you want to play. Joe Perry and Brad Whitford were early endorsers for bc rich. Slash used them for years and a mockingbird was one his first professional guitars.

  • Wow your playing is amazing! Very impressed!

  • IM thinking about getting this guitar or a Dean Dixie Rebel.

By the way that was some great playing

  • Cannot believe the price of this guitar for what it is!!

Neck Thru, ORIGINAL FLOYD!, 24 frets, active technology and Rockfield pickups For the price i cannot believe it!

  • Totally agree. Apart from totally loving the way the guitar looks its specification convinced me to part with my cash. 2 years later it's still impressing me. As I mentioned before I've always been wary of BC Rich guitars because I've played some absolute dogs! The ST has gone up in price since I bought it but it's still well worth the money! You'll struggle to get more bang for buck.

  • @Nickstermc I'm going to buy one.

I've got loads of cheap shit guitars, i'm selling them all to buy an ibanez xiphos 27 fret (main shred guitar fin neck) Then this mockingbird because i red a review and it got 9/10 because its not a shred guitar because its got a meety neck (The review was on affordable shred guitars) But i love fat necks because i do allot of recording of rhythms so this suits me perfectly! Could you do a review on this guitar there are no video reviews :(

  • Great solo!

  • why does everyone say that BC Rich is bad?, because i kind of want to get rid of my Squire Strat, and get a BC Rich Warlock.

  • wanna buy a new guitar for like 500bugs... mockingbird , ltd ec 256 or and completly other guitar?? sb got an idea?^^

  • Oh and hows the floyd?

  • I love the Mockingbird man.

    Great playing!

What do u think about the asm pro and the nj warbeast?

  • Where did you get it from? Which store?

  • Sorry for late response. Didn't spot your comment. I got it from guitarguitar in Glasgow.

  • that sounds SOO GOOD!!

  • Sounds awesome man! How much can you alter the tone with the extra controls? Is it worth getting this version over the others for it?`Video demonstration please?`=D

  • dood..I bought the Mockingbird ST in honeyburst...this guitar is freakin beyond words both in looks AND performance...I own 2 other BC BICH (mstrpiece &early 90's NJ series) and the ST by FAR is the best sounding of all 3... I was hesitant about leaving the mafia pickups in cause I'm more the EMG 81 85 type...but the mafias FREAKIN SCREAM!!!...definately worth purchasing in my opinion....also sounds GREAT for blues

  • wats up man great playing im thinking of buying a mockingbird is it worth the money can u help me out did u get any problems with it???

  • Definitely worth it. I've had zero problems with it.

  • what is better for shreeding and playing Nuno Bettencourt type stuff, the Jem7vwh or the Mocking bird?

  • @pkerlover get his washburn n-4 or the n-2

  • oh yeah i forgot about that, just what fretboard wood do they use? I need something like ebony or maple cuz im through with rosewood.

  • @pkerlover its a rosewood fretboard with an ebony neck

  • nice jem

  • Looks like Gn'R "double talkin' jive"

  • yeah the backing track sounds a lot like it

  • maybe you mean sunds ?^^

hehe dude yea youre right sonds really like the song P.S gusn n roses for ever

  • did u put in a new floyd rose? or is it stock, cus i got one but my cusin has it and he baught it for me but i didnt get it yet

  • Nope. The Floyd is stock.

  • does this guitar have a thin or chunky neck? Im thinking of getting one for christmas so if anyone can help me out i would apriciate it?

  • It's on the chunky side.

  • is it still good for faster stuff?

  • I pitty the people that say this guitar isnt a shred guitar.

  • rly thats insade.... just look at it for a star.

opinion only goes so far lol

  • got mine about a week ago........Sweet playin peice of machinery! it keeps impressing me.

  • Comment removed

  • Jeez How do you get all these rare Ibanez JEMs from like the early 90s?

  • The black one I found by chance in the back of a guitar store back in the mid 90's. The others........hours searching on Ebay!

  • I wish I had the money for that, lol

  • how is that neck compared to an epiphone les pauls? bigger or smaller

  • That was Just Brilliantly Excellent!!!!!!

  • where did you buy it?

  • Guitarguitar in Glasgow

  • yo duder, what do you think of that guitar? Are all the switches/options worth the extra money as opposed to a regular neckthru MBird without the switches???

    shit sounds boss.

  • fuck the switches!!!

original floyd, neck through thats all you need to shred!!

  • only if you want to swith to single coils if you only want humbuckers go for the regular :P

  • I like it, but I really don't use the switches or tone filter knob much. I use this guitar for high gain stuff like in the vid. I've got it set for that and just leave it there.

  • ah then I guess I don't feel as bad for not springing for the one with switches!

got a honey burst NJ w/ floyd rose and cloud inlays for 300$, dropping a PAF pro and Super distortion in that beast.

  • what does it sound like clean?

  • Quite mellow. Not bright sounding.

  • nice awesome guitar skills btw were did u buy the guitar??

  • Guitarguitar in Glasgow

  • mate, i never leave comments but that was just awesome so i thought i would say so!

  • Fat neck.....Nuthin a lil sandpaper cant fix. Did that on a USA Warlock in 93 & it was custom fit perfect for my hand, literally. I asked Ed Roman about sanding the neck to lose a tiny bit of fatness & he said they do it all the time, ofcoarse before its painted but still.

  • the beginning sounded like Double Talking Jive outro :)

  • WISH I'D PLAYED A LES PAUL SO ID KNOW IF THE NECK IS TOO FAT OR NOT. -.....oK So the neck is abaseball bat,I get it .............is it atleast not very wide of a neck across the frets since its so think?

  • first few noes with wah sounded like tony macalpine

  • i see some1 is a bass player aswell?

  • sounds and looks cool, i think i'm gonna buy one, but don't know how thin the neck is, maybe compared to an Ibanez RG?

  • It's on the fat side. More Les Paul than RG.

  • sound great!

  • I wanna hear this bastard without wah too!

  • What does the ST mean? Standard?

  • slash tribute i think

  • sounds fkin nice!

  • i want this guitar sooooo bad sick jams btw

  • i don't like the way B.C. Rich stuff looks but I love this baby!. Great wood and lots of knobs!

  • ... Hey Man, Whatever floats your boat.

  • i think thats the guitar that syn uses from a7x

  • syn uses his schecter custom model but every now and then you might see him witha schecter c-1 fr

  • uhm no, this is a bc rich. syn uses a a schecter

  • syn uses schecter, but kinda looks like a mockingbird

  • No sir. That's his own Schecter custom model.

  • Syn gates sucks ... Total talentless hack. His custom model is basically a standard Schecter avenger with a gay ass paint job... OH, and he stole the traditional BC rich headstock. Yup, a lack of originality at its best, it really befits his playing.

  • where did you get it for that price cos im lookin for 1 and the cheapest ive found it is 595. great guitar skills

  • I bought it over a year ago when they were quite cheap. BC Rich have since changed their prices. They bumped up the price of these quite a bit.

  • inspired by steve VAI. awesome!

  • what effects are you using?

  • wah pedal, distortion and delay... not too sure though :)

  • Crybaby wah into a Boss GT- pro.

  • wow it sounds a ton like double talkin jive

  • hey! did you buy that guitar in England? I live in Norway, and it's impossible for me to buy the guitar here, so I'm concidering travelling over the board to get it =P Please give me a lot of info about the guitar, because I don'twant to waste that much money =P

  • Holy hell! That DOES sound like Double Talkin' Jive!

If someone just played the audio from this video, I would have believed it was Slash himself playing! You have amazing skill! Keep rocking!

  • Cheers! Yeah, It's basically Double Talkin Jive. A close friend turned me on to that song and I created a backing track similar to the one that Slash solos over.

  • dude!!!! amp setting pleazzz
