Sha Na Na as usual does a great job in this presentation of "Please don't go please stay" compare it to: Crying Shames 1966. Duffy. Bay city rollers. Mekon(Royksopp-Remix). even the infamous Bert Bacharach. They put it all together well!
OH PLEASE IF you love SNN as I do you can go to their official website and under LINKS at the bottom is a link to Sha Na Na Fan Pages by Cheryl and then on her site there is a link saying "HELP GET THE SHA NA NA VARIETY SHOW ON DVD!"
@msdemme2 Apparently its a legal nightmare, they did hundreds of songs and to get all the releases so they could market it, is complicated. Everyone wants their cut.
I never thought of him that way, but you have a point. But Bowzer's a much better singer. (Hmm. . . when he does that open mouth thing do you think it's kind of like when Simmons sticks his dragon-tongue out?)
I have a question for you?I know you have done so much already, with putting up all these clips. But my question is do you have a clip of the guys singing "Don't let go",that one is one I haven't seen in awhile. Thank You
Santini and Johnny, they in the diner playing pinball, and I think they are fighting over Ginger, and when they get to the part about the hounddog barking outside,Bowzer pops up outside the window and I think he barks.I think that is how it goes.
I am a big Rock-n-Roll fan, since I was a kid. I so much looked forward to Saturday nights and the Sha Na Na show. I didn't care so much for the comedy skits, but always looked forward to what songs they would sing.
I saw Sha Na Na last night and was tempted to sung this to Donny when I met him

I like this as I like Sha na na but the group Westlife tops this song for me.
It's a very moving version.

Nothing like the Shanana shows. Loved them back then and thank you so much for bringing back wonderful memories.

good singing diversity; something stripped down bands, can't do.
