its an M2 .50 cal machine gun. its a CROWS......commonly remotely operated weapons system. it has a daytime color camera and a nihtime infrared camera. it can also be mounted with a MK 19 40mm automatic grenade launcher, M240B 7.72mm machine gun, or a M249 5.56mm SAW(Squad Automatic Weapon). our ortar platoon had some in iraq, i was their mechanic so they let me play around with it at the range one day. with the .50 cal they can hit point targets up to 1100 meters. its pretty badass
@blackswor140 are you referring to the guys in the video? i agree a weapon should always be treated as loaded. but that one is obviously cleared, the cover is open.

@Choice777 yes its the vehicle's power system, but the HMMWV uses a 24v system.
