  • this is my favorite stephen king movie

  • In response to the poster's question...he doesn't "need" to use the bat, he uses it because it's on hand.

Of course, the cop has a gun, so maybe he does need the bat...

  • wow, that was a pretty damn awesome werewolf transformation. I wanna see this movie.

  • @filmyguy1 It's definetely a must-see if you're a werewolf movie fan.

  • why does a werewolf need a baseball bat? I love this movie but i always wondered why that is. if your gonna spend the time and effort to shift without a full moon then why use a bat? lol

  • @strung7 What else can it use? It's not like he has massive fangs and/or long-sharp claws that he can use to tear people apart. A bat is the only thing this ferocious monster can use to kill these tiny people.

    Wait...

  • @strung7 i would prefer being killed by a werewolf with a bat than being torn apart

  • where can ya get a copy of this movie? been looking around but to no avail :-(

  • @MsTicklemesilly If you havent already, try amazon.com or just google it. I was recently looking for the movie"The Car" starring James Brolin made in '77 & found it on amazon. happy hunting!

  • @pmb11000 yipeeeee! found it on of all places ebay!! lmao thanks for the help

  • What happened too Nick Fury?! lol And why the heck does he need a baseball bat?! I laughed so friggin hard!!!

  • The 80s ruled with unique experimentation in horror movies. They were 10 times creepier and more eary than what is produced today.

  • Religious Werewolf, lol!

  • oh boy

  • police saving the day :)

  • notice the bat was stolen from the bartender one of the people he killed at the private justice hunt scene. and the bat has the words engraved "The Peacemaker" on it.

  • sherrif got owned :(

  • he uses a bat so the cop doesnt try to shoot him before he transforms

  • yea i agree with blackadam06 the second i see that im haulin balls fuck standin around lmao

  • Ahh yes, this takes me back to my childhood. I miss those days :(

  • I agree with you guys.....I would be hauling so much ass. None of this oh my god whats happening, I guess I'll just stand here and get eaten like a dumbass!

  • @blackadam look carefully he gets hit by a bat when he was gonna run and became unconious once the tf was done he got killed

  • Ahhhhhhhh his eye! jk but seriously seeing his eye is creepy 0.0"

  • there's NO silver bullet in this video!

  • @unserdeutschland thats because its the name of the movie

  • yeah,I would immediately run away,lol,not just stand there,lolz!

  • omg its nick fury! jkjk

  • lol! he just turned into a fricken werewolf and he using a bat to try and kill the guy!

  • well i think they should of changed it as he first smashes away the gun and then the police mens head then he transforma and after that eats him...

  • he hit him with the bat because the guy was trying to escape and he wasn't fully transformed

  • damn i laughed so hard i almost cryed, why the hell did he need the baseball bat, lol..aww my fuckin stomach hurts..lol

  • And not only was he not fully transformed...what's he going to do? eat him? werewolves don't eat people...they kill and shred people. they use anything and everything in their paths to destroy anything they want.

  • man when i was a child this shit scared me now i just laugh

  • Why the FUCK do people like this cop spend so much time gawping at the guy transform instead of just pick up the gun AGAIN GODDAMNIT!

And blow the bastards EYES OUT!!!

    Okay, tip NO. ONE PEOPLE!!

If you're faced with a monster, and you've a GUN, or some sharp object, don't just fucking shoot him, shoot him in the EYES!!!

It'll take at least even a couple of minutes for the fuckers to re-grow their stupid eyes & by that time, you should be WELL THE HELL OUTTA THERE!!!!

  • For the music people who know what I am talking about, the sequence of the descending minor 3rd as the motif for the werewolf is brilliant! When I heard that when I was younger, I wouldn't even go out at night, regardless of a full moon, lol. Even today, as I am older and a wee-bit wiser, the mood of that motif still wigs me out!

  • @boingokky Diminished chords sure are terrifying!

  • @TheMonkeyTookMyHat They can be, if used properly lol. Descending diminished chords just sounds like old 40s cartoons of pigs rolling down a hill, lol.

  • lol at 0:52 joe is like "well, this is gonna suck!"

  • This movie was scarier than it gets credit for

  • its "Reverend... he was torn apart. Where did you get ripley

  • I don't really get why the werewolf still held onto the bat, cause really it should of let go of the bat my transformation but if i was there i'd do is kick him in the nards, pick up the bat and whach him several times in the back of the head until blood is shown on the back and run as fast as possible

  • First of all the kick to the nards thing totally wouldn't work. Ever kick a pitbull in the nards? Yeah, you'll get you butt handed to you.

I guess the reason why the werewolf used the bat is because hes a little on the human side at this point. That played a part in this movie, the moon had to be full before he was all wolf and the rest of the month he still changed but was still part human.

  • yea yur rite, the wolf could just claw and eat the cop

  • He probably had partly some human sanity as he was beating the cop.

  • U know what I ALWAYS find odd about werewolf movies?

When people simply just STAND THERE & watch something like a man transforming into a monster LOL!!

There's no way in hell, I just stand there & watch something like that LOL!! The minute I see the BEGINNING of something like that, I'm haulin' ass LOL!!

  • I´d kick the guy in the balls while he´s transforming. Let´s see a werewolf deal with that...

  • rofl, kick him.... then run, jump into the car, plow him over, back and forth just to make sure, than drive off.... easy right ? lol

  • So a kick to the balls would be more painful than your whole body morphing into an changing form, including balls?

The werewolf using the bat made more sense, LOL!

  • You are right! But in this scene the time is a little shorter than in others.

  • yeah you right, but i think they stant there because they are too shocked you know? but if they have already see that in another scene, than i get pissed of too XD

  • @blackadam06 actually, ud prolly be paralyzed by fear

  • @shredderman22

    Bullshit..

Sorry, but If a man or woman starts changing into a damn monster B4 my eyes, the LAST thing I'm gonna be is "paralyzed by fear".. If anything, I'd be MOTIVATED by it to RUN LOL!!

  • @blackadam06 Well, maybe the're just paralyzed with fear and are too scared to run away or just can't comprehend what's happening in front of them!

  • @spiritgirl41192

I just can't see myself standing there watching something like that transpire..

  • @blackadam06 LOL. LOL, I'M SO STUPID, LOL LOL , you would be in shock brother, then you cant move..i guess you never feel really FEAR in your life.

  • I love this movie I saw it year's ago and still remember it!!!!!

  • John Locke from Lost, killed by a werewolf.

  • Haha. Seeing the werewolf hand using the bat never seems to lose it's humor.

  • Yeah, he should've just eaten the guy! No need for a bat with that equipment.

  • This was my all-time scariest movie as a kid. Especially the part when they were in the fog and when Corey Haim was shooting off fireworks and the wolf came after him and then he shot with a big ass bottle rocket in the eye. Scary shit.

  • i love how the werewolf just continues to use the bat

  • the best gary busey movie ever busey rocks

  • Why warewolf is useing a bat??

  • I seem to recall he's trying to frame somebody...

  • I loved this movie!

  • yeah! kill da fucking police

  • @7568212 the police are what keeps u from being raped by werewolves :P

  • The book was much more gruesome, I wish they stuck to that line of terror and mystery. The last scene did make me lock the doors and say a prayer before i went to bed though

  • this movie was scarier than most people give it credit for especially when i saw it as a kid

  • maybe he got tired of clawing and biting his victims, maybe he wanted to mix it up and hit him with a bat?

  • yea you would have to watch this movie to understand the "bat" thing but uhh yea people didnt give this movie enough credit it used to give me nightmares when i was a little kid

  • ok so um...when did werewolves start to beat people with bats????

    loved silver bullett though.

  • Omg, it looked like a moneky -.-'

  • wow i like the transformation of the werewolf its so 80's

  • very dramatic...

  • yup

  • this was my favorite werwolf movie, the last scene of this movie gave me nightmares

  • rev he was torn apart. i love the nightmare the rev had with all the people turning into werewolves can some1 please put that on here?????????????????????

  • That was probably the best scene in the movie. I loved the psychotic piano-playing she-wolf!

  • if you watch at around 00:47 when reverend lowe raises his hand it's completely transformed with no sleeve..then when he hits the sheriff, the sleeve is magically back on. This is my fav. movie and just wanted to point it out

  • the had the whole movie posted on here can someone get it back up please?

  • The church scene was the scariest, the part where he was having the nightmare.

  • One of the scariest scenes of a movie...EVER..scared the hell out of me as a child.

  • Can i help you Joe?

  • i think you'd better come along with me reverend

  • ITS NOT MY FAULT!!

  • the actor who plays the Sheriff is Terry O'Quinn he was in the horror movies Stepfather 1 and 2 and he's currently on the hit show LOST.

  • Brilliant. What happened to horror movies? New ones never scare me...they just gross me out a bit. :P

  • This movie did scare me when I was a kid. Everett McGill did a good jod playing Reverend Lowe and the Werewolf and this part when he kills the sheriff, I guess he was frozen in his place to make a run for it.

  • Why is a werewolf using a club and not tearing the guy with his teeth/claws?

  • I see your point about the werewolf using the club and not his claws, in the beginning when that lady who was gonna commit suicide, the werewolf got her good.

  • I don't think it was a club i thought it was the bat peace maker. The one the werewolf took from the bar guy he killed

  • yea he literally tore her a new one

  • This movie scared the hell out of me when I was a kid. Saw it when I was 7. I'm 17 now and still refuse to watch it by myself.

  • this Reminds me of Gargoyles when Fox turns into a Werwolf in front of Xanatos

  • It think I rather get beat and killed by a bat than get torn to shreds alive and get killed, such a good movie. What happened to movies like these, these days it is more of trying to shock you than scare you

  • Exactly, 23. Saw and Hostel crap is all about that new "gorno" (pornographic gore). This is graphic but not overkill. Jay Chattaway's music is also awesome.

  • Yeah, that's why I don't watch the more modern horrors, but Silver Bullet also develops the plot better than say The Grudge. I never understood that movie.

  • i love that movie

  • great 80's horror flick

  • i agree they should make a knew version of this movie

  • hell no!!! everytime they make a new verison it always sucks

  • Really i didn't notice but i wish they had made a Sequel

  • I have this movie. It's got pretty good special fx for a movie made in the 80s. It kinda creeped me out the first time I saw it.

  • i love horror movies but this one i can't stand to watch alone. Something about it scares me, still after so long.

  • Damn! I thought I had a bad day at work.

  • Bat or not, still a great effect for 1985, and even today still. Blood bag lined in Locke's scalp with a swift pound from a rubber bat and SPLAT!!!

People are too scared to run or kick the thing in the nuts when it's transforming.

  • you are so right man, kick and run very very fast. because one sick mother with a bat is coming after you

  • Super Trooper here had a good few seconds to make a good clean bolt for it. Granted he didn't have terribly much time, but it's more than enough for somebody who values their life! What is it with these fools when witness werewolf transformations? Do they WANT to die? Me, I value my life. I wanna graduate college, become successful, get married and have no kids. So if someone transforms into a wolf 2 feet away from me, better believe you're not gonna see me.

  • Its a werewolf with a baseball bat! Now thats a bad ass combination

  • Didn't he (the werewolf) get the baseball bat when he killed those hunters earlier in the movie? From the old bartender?

  • yeah he did, got it from the bartender

  • Yeah,kill that pig!

  • GO REVEREND LOWE!

  • He sure was brings salvation to that officer

  • you said that officer should have brought back up with him and a Silver bullets then he would have gotten clobberd

  • Do either of you know how to speak English?

  • a yes we were not born yesterday

  • He's a reverend... of course he's evil.

  • Whooooop the shit out of that d00000d!

  • It is also good to see a good werewolf transformation that doesn't involve CGI. In "Underworld", the transformation was showed from the inside out and looked like a Pepcid A/C commercial. Everett McGill is also a great character actor, and was also excellent in "The People Under the Stairs".

  • I first saw this movie when it was released at a drive-in theater in Nelsonville, OH when I was about 7 years old. We lived in the country and because there wasn't jacks**t to do, I let my imagination get the best of me. I could hardly sleep for a week.

  • same here dude I was wide awake at night watching the window for the werewolf that might sneak up on me

  • It's Locke!

  • This werewolf actually has wolf growls

  • no second to an amercian werewolf in london,1981

  • How come nobody ever kills werewolves while they're transforming? I've always wondered that.

  • I love this movie! I first saw it when I was like 7. The clubbing bit I never got until I read a few books on werewolves. If there is a Grade-A 80s werewolf movie, Silver Bullet is it.

  • Second behind the howling (1981).

  • I've never seen the howling.

  • Watch the werewolf transformation scene from the howling on the youtube or watch the movie and tell me what you think.

  • I watched the transformation, and though the werewolf is easier to see, the effects wer a bit over used, especially on the pulsations.

  • I think the change is excellent because effects were really coming on in the early 80's. That one sequence stops the movie. The pulsations were condoms under fake skin with air being pushed in and out according to a dvd documentary I have. Check out the whole movie it has a good story. Check out clip the howling TF 3 from the movie.

  • omg i havent seen this movie in years, this used to be my favorite movie. i wish someone would post the whole thing on youtube!

  • OMG He killed John Locke

  • this is a gangster wolf...using a club hahaha..

  • i remember that movie for some reason it scared me =/

  • That werewolf looks more like an ape...

  • Ouch

  • First I've seen of a werewolf clubbing someone to death half way through transformation.

Now I've seen it all :)

  • cool

  • meant to add, he must just be tenderising the cop before chowin down

  • he just gives him a hefty whack with the bat before he digs into him, kinda like what you do when u catch a fish, HAVE 'AT YA BASTARD!!

  • Is that really the whole transformation? I remember it scaring the daylights out of me when I was a kid.

Can´t you post the last transformation when he dies in the end as well.

  • i was horrified of this movie when i was a kid and i had to find a video of it to see if it was really as scary as i thought, so ill second that request

  • WEAK!!

  • wow. thanks for coming by to say that.

  • thanks what ever i can do to help :)

  • I never understood why the guy used the bat. Normally, a werewolf uses its teeth and claws as killing weapons!

  • I agree with you I think it is kinda strange for a werewolf to use a bat as a weapon to kill someone.

Strange clip normally a werewolf kills with it's teeth and claws not with a bat!

  • That wasn't too bad. The movie wasn't as good as the book, of course. But it had Gary Busey, so that's a plus. I never understood the baseball bat, though.

  • Post more.

    ;)
