I was on the front row of this show. One of the best shows I've ever seen. I was so happy to see Portnoy with them before he left. Favorite part of the night though had to be the part where James LaBrie got the set confused with the Iron Maiden set they were playing earlier on. I could see the look of embarrassment on his face because I was super close to him. Anyway, fun time, Great show. Good Video!
now since Mike Portnoy left the band, I realize how lucky I was to be there. I was originally not going to go but decided at the last minute to go with my friend since the Scorpions cancelled at the LC.
Nice!!! I was at this concert, was on the house left side almost at the rail....I couldn't see Jordan almost the entire time, lol. Also, it's was so cool when Portnoy went out to play a song with Beatallica.
can you explain how you uploaded a 20 min video with out being a partner??
i was at the show it was freaking sick second row. i was recording panic attack and i was told to stop right before rudess pulled out his keytar it made me =(.
@tomanater00 Back in the day, YouTube used to let "Director" accounts upload videos longer than 10 minutes, and now they don't anymore. But, the people who already had director accounts from back then are still able to upload longer videos, if that makes sense. Basically, I got lucky.
When my wife, friend and I got to the show, there was probably a block and a half worth of people waiting in line and this was at 545p! We were ecstatic to only be about 6 people back from the front. Just fuckin' amazing.
@Drakkhim Yeah, I had to push past a lot of people once I got in there, which may have pissed some people off, but I wanted to be as close as I could get.
@Dunford00 He was being pretty awesome the whole time. He's constantly pumping up the crowd, and he was pretty funny when he talked in between some of the songs. Mike said that "a club full of Dream Theater fans is way louder than an arena full of Iron Maiden fans", so I think they were pretty happy to be playing a small show like this. I hope they do it more often.
@aNightmare7 dude you're so right about what Portnoy said. I was at this concert and it the crowd was amazing. I saw DT 2 weeks later at Blossom Music Center with Iron Maiden, and to be honest I really went to that concert to see DT, not Iron Maiden. I really do hope they play smaller shows like this again. It was really cool.
@aNightmare7 I believe the quote was "a club full of Dream Theater fans is WAY FUCKIN LOUDER than an arena full of Iron Maiden fans (deafening cheers from audience)" ;)
@Voorhees67 I was there too man!!!! During The Count of Tuscany two drunk guys basically barged their way into me and got right in front of me for over half the song. Thankfully, they left about halfway through the song. Other than that, amazing concert, I hadn't seen DT live in about 2 years, so it was a long overdue concert, and it couldn't have been better...well they could've played another hour, lol.
@RandomGuyBlake54 Haha yeah I wish that they would've played The Root of All Evil and maybe Octavarium too but other than that, they played alot of the songs I wanted to hear.

I was at this concert. It was funny looking at the older men screaming like little girls.

@RandomGuyBlake54 Iron Maiden was actually not all that great. The only good songs were played at the end of the show! The rest was crap!

They're doing the demo version of Hollow Years which features this extra passage with the additional lyrics. Nothing wierd with that at all.

how about james adding extra lyrics in hollow years... I bet mike was pissed. they covered it well
myvanpounds 1 year ago
@myvanpounds i believe they do that every time they play hollow years now.
