Oden has NBA skills, but even Nate McMillan says he wonders about Greg's mental approach. David Thorpe was quoted on ESPN that as of right now Joakim Noah will be the beter player.

Its a good comparison for now, but oden has proved that he is more athletic than dampier, is taller than dampier, shoots freethrows better than dampier(potential to develop a soft J), and started younger than Dampier, so way more potential for oden. Also, Dallas had one dominant big man in Dirk who doesnt bang inside, Portland has LA who is developing his post game AND outside range, while being way athletic than dirk, and Roy who is a btter allaround player than anyone Dallas had at the wing.

oh and Noah.Oden right now, but Oden is still 21 and Noah is 24 and had two full seasons to mature at the center postion. Oden has had one rookie season to. Noah's peak can't be much higher. Noah has amzing intensity and is fast for a seven footer, he can't play true center because he has no muscles, i see him as more of a PF, as he rarely posts up.

Noah will be more of a Brian Grant type player which is what Portland needs. A difference maker with intangibles beyond scoring. I think people see through Oden. He seems like a great guy, don't get me wrong. I sat 18 seasons courtside up until 1994 at the Rose Garden and the Memorial Col. before that. You get a strong understanding of teammate posture and swagger when they don't believe in a guy. It's well known Pryzbilla doesn't even work out with Oden. I wish him luck.
