He is still a DJ (not in the traditional sense but DJing has evolved, hence the term laptop dj being used since the mid 90's when Sasha started using them) and he is not producing live. He is playing with sequencers and effects.

@mitchyy90 Like I have said in every coment, the term DJ has evolved. You don't have to spin vinyl exclusively. What does deadmau5 do? He plays songs, hes not making music, nor is he performing with an instrument. He has a sequencer (monome and ableton depending how he has his songs or loops arranged) and he has effects machines (Xone 4D, EFX 1000 jazzmutant Lemur). He is an evolved form of a DJ.
