I hate to be moody on youtube but i have to completely agree. I am trying to get some tips on starting my own home studio and my biggest question is about what software i should be looking at. This video didnt even say anything about software. i come away from all these home studio expert villages only feeling more confused. what an appauling service i know its free but i wish i hadnt watched that video because all it has done is waste my time and make things worse.

i recomend you look into the ALESIS MASTER CONTROL. it's allot of good things rolled into one everything you'll ever need for recording

or preforming live and it comes with cubase for free.

I'm selling my protools set up to get one.

I use fl studio 7 with an axiom 25 midi controller and an m audio Audiophile 192 sound card. Im planning to buy pro tools m-powered since i can get it cheap because i have the 192. the sounds fl studio have are weak but you can import 3rd party vst's and your own samples. the sequencer in fl though is very damn good and you can use reason with it via rewire.
