Hate when people say this is a wireless connection without an adapter, just because it says wireless does not mean it is wireless, your computer/laptop could be getting the connection wirelessly, but your xbox 360 is getting connection transferred through a "WIRE" from the computer/laptop.

I just did it. you go to "control panel", then "network and sharing", then next to your connection name is what reads "connections" this is your connection which should be clickable. Click on it. Then at the bottom of the small pop up is a button that reads "properties." click on this. then there will be another pop up. At the top of this will be a tab that reads "Sharing." Click on this then follow the video tutorial from 3:31.

@RandyMair1 1) whats shown in the video IS NOT a router its a usb adapter therefore it has no ethernet port. 2) i installed the driver for the usb adapter therefore enabling 802.11 wifi access 3) if you have a better way of doing this, please feel free to make your own video instead of bitching about it to me =D thats what youtube is for. have a blessed day and GTFO

@KiiLLuMiinaTii yes it will, but you can change the settings on ur laptop so that it will still run while the screen is down.

go to: control panel> power options, there should be a column on the left side, look for link called "choose what closing the lid does" (or something similar, idk im running windows 7), next to where it says "when i close the lid" go to the drop boxes on the right and choose "do nothing", hit save and ur ready to go

ok i need help heres my situation: I live in an apartment wich they provide free wireless internet. Like 50 yards from me there is this little thing i think is the modem connected to the office building with a big antenta. And in every apartment they put in this little box with only an antena sticking out to reach to the big modem. And they gave out free trednent adapters to connect with. @MrMusicScribe @bigrolutionguy its not a grounded connection (since ur using your pc/laptops wifi) therefore its still wireless, just less portable. if youre going to say this isnt a type of wireless connection, its the same as criticizing the xbox 360 wifi adapter for using a usb cord to make a wifi connection. if this method (which some of my viewers actually use) offends you, i suggest you just buy the new 360 slim, then you wont waste time looking for vids to help bypass a wireless adapter.
