I went on holiday to Thailand a few Years back, and stumbled upon this place, I almost fainted, I never knew Thailand had places like this, I always thought this sort of thing was in America!
Guys, friendly warning, Watch out for (IT CITY) shop. Why? Ans : RIP OFF, OVERPRICE, LIE CUSTOMER, the shop seem big. But the quality is not the size. Why i know this, because i have brought computer from there. Clearly overprice. install illegal software for customer and also charge very expensive lol. Hope all the staff in the shop. DIE SLOW AND PAINFULLY. HOPE THEIR HOUSE BURN AND THEIR PARENTS DIE PAINFULLY ALSO. HOPE THEY ALL HAVE AIDS, HIV, SWINE FLY and so on

As a regular traveller to Thailand, I've been to Pantip many times, but prefer a similarly huge technology shopping centre called Zeer Rangsit, situated near the old international airport.
Very few foreigners, quieter, no legion of "sexy movie" peddlars, has a great IT book shop and a huge shop for electronic components.
For me, Zeer is my technology paradise, relegating Pantip to second place.
This is why thailand will always kick ass in these things, my cousin (thai) has a huge collection of DVDs. Unless if you have a problem with possibly buying pirated DVDs that place is awesome. And even if you do the counterfits are usually pretty obvious (plastic sleeve instead of case, crappy cover looks like its been copied a thousand times etc.)
how can u say it's nerdy? u know how many places like this they have in Bangkok? it's just so common in some places to have piracy stuff here. u can get fake copies sometimes 2 bucks or watever fo 10 cds or somethin...it's like heaven :D

Yep, I've been there and it's AMAZING! Anything you want - they got it. And better prices than in the US too.
To the first poster: It doesn't make you a nerd, and once you go to Thailand, you'll never want to go home.
