  • @GridIRONization hey fuck head typos happen all the time so shut the fuck up

  • The old country styles will come back. All the electric guitars, fringe and neon onstage lighting couldn't kill real country back in the 70s,so why do you think stuff today has a chance to do so?There's always gonna be someone to fill their shoes,no matter what that old man in the George Jones song worried about.

  • Modern "Country" radio is POP Music-The True Country harmonies--The Alabama, Restless Heart, Shenendoah, Diamond RIo, BlackHawks etc can NEVER be Duplicated--and as for "Hat Acts" Strait and Jackson are the last two traditionalists left

  • @KLowejr What abourt Josh Turner....He does come close

  • This stuff kills the new Texas country crap!

  • shenandoah, the kentucky headhunters, the bellamy brothers, sawyer brown, chris ledoux

  • She opens her heart to an old memory she closes her eyes and she smiles. Just ask her if she ever still thinks about me she said every once in a while. :) I love this song.

  • A great song that makes me think about my High School days. I lost my first love;and even though I have a fiance now,I wonder where she is today. I still think of her every now and again and I'm sure she does the same. I do miss her a little, but I wouldn't give up my fiance now. I love you Viola Ranae Byrd.

  • I'm not a Country fan at all, but if there was one country record i'd throw on, it'd probably be BlackHawk. Or Keith Urban p:

  • super nice guys! i miss them and RIP van :(

  • one of about 100,000 fantastic Blackhawk songs, what an amazing band from the 90s.. when country was still country................. memories omg memories....

  • i love this song, reminds me of my ex :)

  • My favorite music is early to mid 60's rock. You could sing along to it, it was catchy and you could hear the words. I love Blackhawk's music for the same reason.

  • this song remind of i want to back with exboyfriend and i am not strong and There's A Thousand Stars In The Sky On A Winding Road my Memory Flows I"ll Face The Fact I Wants To Go Back to him and I Opens my Heart To An Old Memory and I Tries To Forget and But I Hasn't Yet But Not A Single Day Goes By That Feeling Again Remindes me Of When he Held me Tight It Felt So Right and And When i Thinks About me and him were together and i Wants To Go Back to him and It's hard to Tell him, "No " when I

  • want him so bad But I've got to be true to my heart and he is around, my defenses go down and Feelings get stronger, looks get longer The closer The closer he come, the weaker I get and If it ain't happened now, it just ain't happened yet, so and I'm not strong enough to say no and I'm not woman enough to walk away and I can't resist him even though I've tried and i can't help have those feeling for my exboyfriend and me and him have move our life and But the one thing I'm sure of I want a ma

  • n that stands beside me and Not in front of or behind me and Give me two arms that want to hold me, not own me and I'll give all the love in my heart and Stand beside me and Be true, don't tell lies to me and I'm not lookin' for a fantasy I want a man that who stands beside me and i have new guy in my life and And all I could feel Was this aching in my heart Saying I loved him still and how get feeling away from my heart and i am torn old memory i have my ex boyfriend

  • Blackhawk still has the best harmony

  • this song reminds me of a girl i used to date years ago.

  • Yes, country has died... Every true! The kids dont know what real country is! Country was always slow, heartbreaking, and what you long for the most.

  • @Slidem1941 I only 16 and this is the stuff I grow up on

  • @Slidem1941

back in the 90's i used to listen to that music on KZLA Radio

  • This is what I grew up with. I never realized how good it was until the crap that passes for music came along now. :)

  • Harmony - instrumentation! I never hear this song played anymore. When I mention it to friends who are country fans they say that they can't remember it. I'm just asking the wrong ones because I know many remember this great song!

  • @oriongirlfan That's funny, cause' this is the country I like, and i'm not really a country fan at all. All this new age, twangy, nonsense-filled country songs around now, suck terribly.

  • I miss when Country use to be this good. Now its more like a competition and every singer mostly sings about the same thing. Its not like its about the music or the stories anymore!

  • It helped me a lot ever since I saw them at Incahoots in sd

  • I LOVE BLACKHAWK !

  • when blackhawk plays, it's like the planets align and the angels sing, and all is right and good in the world!!!

  • AWESOME band !!! Harmony is out of this world ... piano player is so hot ... they all bring it together ...

  • relax guys..jamey johnson, eric church, and josh thompson are pretty damn close to all the good ol country....

  • i think i should have been born at least 10 years earlier than i was, i love the older music!!! lol i hate this shit they call country, it really is a shame what these people are doing to our music.

  • @fishinbabeA

LOL; there's a lot of people who like "old" country who used to say the same thing about this kind of country, if that tells you anything about how truly bad it is NOW, lol.

  • nothing like the older stuff to get you going

  • This one takes me back to high school. Ah yes, the days of freedom and the only things tha mattered was a fast truck and good music.

  • old country is the only good country

  • The original auto-tune. It's called "singin' into a tin can"

I love this classic 90's country!

  • A classic. Love it!

  • I swear all of the best country was in the 90's late 80's. Bring back the country mullet!!!

  • @Gsitz89 i think you are right, i think the best country music was in the nintys and late eightys.... thats when it was sweet and wonderful... i miss those times myself...

  • @Gsitz89 haha yeah...this guy in my FFA chapter has a country mullet lol

  • @Billyfn1218 Hey, dont forget some of the greats...

    Kenny Chesney

    Keith Urban

    and Kenny Rogers

    Micheal Peterson

    Travis Tritt

    David Kersh

    Sammy Kershaw

  • @Billyfn1218 sorry billy but i listen to

    Alan Jackson

    Willie Nelson

    Garth Brooks

    George Straight

    Randy Travis

  • @Gsitz89 The late '80's and early '90's had the best country music!!

  • @Gsitz89 i totally agree. i grew up in the 90's and the country music was amazing. its nothing like todays crap.. i mean taylor swift is a country icon? really? get real people

  • @Gsitz89 the only time country was good.

  • @Gsitz89 def the best country came from that era. when it was still music. Tim McGraw has sold out, as has toby keith. the ones who didnt went away. ala Clint black, Sammy Kershaw, etc. all the greats

  • LOVE LOVE Black Hawk!

  • love blackhawk I miss this stuff.

  • met these guys.. been on their tour bus.... hung out with them...

  • Bull shit country died in the 70's El Paso by Smokey Robison.. Mrs Klines song written by Willie Nelson, Yeah you look it up. What? You want the Rhinestone Cowboy. TV killed the song and the sound . Ok I have got to give something to Ricky Van Shelton. That's it. Country is rock and roll now. Glamor and glitz instead of sound. You know I just had an idea why don't you listen to Voices Carry by Til Tuesday. That's rock and roll not country.

  • @dmusiken dude really no country died around 2000 otherwise you are leaveing out george strait toby keith brooksn dunn montgomery gentry alan jackson travis tritt blackhawk clint black diomond rio alabama and the list goes on

  • This band was to good to be true..a few great hits and they throw in the towel.

    Long live BlackHawk.

I wish they were still recording.

  • @keefer2111 one of the band members died, dude. they were a trio. they made another album about that fact...i'd not call that throwing in the towel. it was like kissing their fans goodbye. what do you want? a resurrection? they're not god.

  • If you love this song check out tuniverse and look for dave robbins solo album.. the album is called "Soul Minning" tuniverse is a tv not com ok

  • I still love this song just as much now as I did back then.

  • Country music was amazing back in the day..... Blackhawk

  • I remember seeing Henry Paul when he was with "The Outlaws" in Tampa. I was more into the folk scene, but i met Henry Paul a couple times and he was a very polite guy. I recall he even said something nice about our band, even though we were rubbish, especially compared to his band. I think a couple of "The Outlaws" packed it in early. When he joined "Blackhawk" I don't know how many people knew where he came from.

  • OMG I haven't heard this song in years! man I miss those years!

  • this was great!!!

    thanks for posting!!!

    good memories.

  • What is the year for this?

  • Really great & beautiful song.Thanks.

  • why do you have to insult people on here? ..you wish them death whats wrong with you?

  • @McBlair1980:

Van Stephenson died in a plane crash, and the band stopped recording.

Years later the AWESOME fiddle-player from 11/70 (the "house band") for 1170AM out of Wheeling, WV joined the band. But country has changed, the band didn't get their momentum back, and with all this crappy pop-stuff dominating radio, it will be a hard for them to get played, if they're still together.

  • @McTony0 Van Stephenson died in 2001 after a battle with Melanoma. He didn't die in a plane crash. Either way, it's sad because he was a great talent.

  • he died of Melanoma

  • Wish I could find the video for "I Sure Can Smell The Rain"
