Thank you. You have opened up my eyes. There is a huge possibility that I have Adrenal fatigue. A lot of the symptoms you describe sound familiar. I have had years of ongoing stress and now I suffer the consequences.
I have been an athlete all of my life, and since I had my 3rd baby I can't get myself to exercise anymore. I get the hear palpitations for no apparent reason. And like you said today I worked fine all day, but tomorrow I am useless. My test results show my TSH,T4 was "normal, so the doctor told me to eat less and exercise. I could not have been insulted more. This could be it right here. Thanks!
I think that you would really benefit from working with a functional medicine oriented health professional to figure out what’s going on if you are really getting enough rest. If not, then try to find the time to rest. If so, and if you are eating well, then it would be good to see a doctor to check your hormones, make sure that you don’t have a viral or other microbial infection (think Epstein Barr, CMV, Lyme, etc.)
Having 3 babies is exhausting in itself. You may want to do a salivary DHEA/Cortisol test to test for adrenal strength. Or you can ask your doctor to do a random cortisol and DHEA (insurance covers this). Also, there are many questions to ask….are you getting enough rest? Do you have fibromyalgia or other symptoms? How well are you sleeping?
Thank you so much for taking your time and making this video. What a blessing. Thank you for believing in adrenal fatigue, as many doctors in this generation do not believe that it exists.
I have been using the AdrenoBoost from Native Remedies and I feel much better. I couldn't sleep, and my doctor said I have huge metabolism disorders. I recommend this product if you are dealing with stresfull situations, fatigue and diminished metabolism.
How far have the adrenal fatigue gone when we get CFS/ME? I got the diagnosis in 2004, have been unable to work since. A family history of thyroid problems (do you believe in hypothyroid type 2? I do). Year by year I see myself less able to do things I could do a year or two before, like getting up a steep hill, take a stair in two steps, etc. Docs won't listen, I want a life worth living!
I get a rapid heart rate after my workouts but it lasts about 3-4 hours! like an anxiety attack i feel like i dont wanna speak to people either cos i feel like my bodys working overtime. I do suffer with anxiety, sometimes in bed at night my heart races. But i dont have tea, coffee, i dont eat meat or dairy, i eat all wholefoods and have slow release carbs and fruit. Can i still have a problem with my adrenal gland or is it a thyroid problem?
I believe if there's any credence to the "gateway theory" of drugs it's sugar, partic when synergized with caffeine in pop drinks, then in chocolate too. Then in recovering from addiction it's one of the last to give up. Then comes what I heard Ann Schaef call "process addictions" to basic daily life processes, from how we breathe, relate to others, & how we eat, not just how much & what we tend to eat.
I use to have this a whole lot. Earlier this year, before I lost some weight and started exercising. Now I feel refreshed when I wake-up in the morning.
I suffer from Brain fog and have been told this maybe the cause. I used to suffer from stress and Anxiety but the Brain fog never went, it's a living nightmare.
@Coops025 Yes, me! I've had it with my AF for 2 and a half years. Lousy memory, concentration, struggle to read, etc. I think it's all to do with low energy.
I just got a cortisol labtest results. My cortisol is off the chart in the morning, and low range by noon, than over the top of the range for evening... my dhea is off the chart as well, not even chartable. the little chart goes to 30 ng/ml , my result is 38.3 Body and Mind are shot.
Any ideas? my doc goes by tsh and says i am fine. doc has not seen these results.
These results show that something is going on. I would recommend contacting the Institute of Functional Medicine, and seeing if they can refer you to someone in your area. You can begin trying the suggestions in the video. But I would definitely begin working with someone, especially if you feel your doctor is not receptive to what you are showing them.
I tend to have all the symptoms of this that is mostly different from when my social life gets contradicted. I think your body kicks into a slow pace gear that thickens your senses. I generally drink quite a bit a night and have no problem sleeping, but even caffeine during the day makes me crash in the middle of the day, which makes it harder to sleep at night. I don't smoke cigarettes, so yeah I agree that the stress builds a mind of it's own.
When taking licorice: typically take in the morning. It will vary from person to person as well as depending on your level of exhaustion. You can take some more licorice in late afternoon if you are really exhausted. But be careful taking it at night. If you typically have trouble sleeping, do not take licorice, it can keep you up.
Thank you very much. Remember there are people out that that are willing to work for you and with you, while listening to your inner wisdom which knows your body. Explore the possibilties when seeking help

To really know for sure, you should get professional treatment. See if you can find a good functional medicine practitioner.

Thank you for sharing your experiences. I think it helps people to see how many ways adrenal fatigue can impact a person.

Great info. What times during the day should licorice be taken.?

Im guessing perhaps throughout the day to trickle feed the body..
