It was all due to man made global warming didnt ya know...the people of Gloucester should be taxed in retrospect for their "Carbon Footprint".

Yeah and pigs might fly...oops better not say that, as THAT may be down to the fact that pigs trotters have become so hot due to the long hot barbecue summer ( a BBC prediction yet again lol) that they took off into space.

Great vid though, just dont let it be hijacked by those with a vested interest such as the CRU!

This brought back many memories. I was a schoolgirl back then and remember it well. It followed a very hard winter that brought many FEET of snow rather than inches. I lived just off Tuffley Avenue which was off Bristol Road and that was all flooded. We did manage to go into town to see the flooding in Westgate Street and Archdeacon Street.

Great archival video.I know a chap who remembers that flood in 1947
