I have my pets cremated and kept in a urn as when I die I want them buried with them. Now they have a memory that some of your cremations go inside of and you may wear it as a necklace close to your heart. They do it to humans to and you may wear your loved ones forever but don't do this thing.
This is in every way immoral and selfish in my opinion... If you truly loved your 'pet' you would consider it as him or her, you wouldn't even use the term 'pet' or 'it'...Therefore when he or she dies, you allow them their God given right to rest in peace just like you would for a human member of the family!
@hypnotic26 tribes have been doing this for years, skining animals taking their pelts. it ok society has just over run this idea that its gross for morals sake. i thinks its better than putting them in the ground to rot, or even dug up an eaten by other animals/bugs.
@Jannibean I disagree, since I wouldn't allow that for a human family member, why should an animal family member be any different? In the end of the day owners who do chose to keep their deceased animals do so because they want to keep the animals with them even if that mean keeping their lifeless bodies... Well isn't that selfish? They are only thinking of their pain, and not the God given right of the animal. That's just my opinion.
@hypnotic26 i think either way, the soul goes to the same place. in any way i dont see how its selfish and people do keep humans like that lol, havent you seen the cadaver museum? those people donated they body after death, or are john/jane does. i think if the animal had a choice it wouldnt care lol either way the body rots and vanishes, it wouldnt really matter.
Feel sorry for the 5 year old girl, not being aware yet. but at least she will always have Thumper with her.
I understand this isn't for everyone, but some people cope with death in different ways, and this can be a beautiful thing.
If I could afford it i'd do this. Putting my darlings in the ground... or burning them feels too much like i'm discarding them. Their sweet lives could be remembered well for many many many years to come this way. And if I have any children, they can love my pets too
No offense to the people working in the taxidermy business, but i don't think I would like this option. My pets are my family members, i can't stand the thought of them in this state. To me, getting a pet preserved like this is like getting a relative preserved like this, it just isn't right
Why would someone want to do this? After a pet dies, the family strives to remember all the valued moments they had together. Having a pet stuffed is more likely to increase the pain of knowing that a loved one is gone, when a pet is buried, it gives more of the feeling that they are in a better place and are happy and will always love you. Imajine how that 5 year girl is going to feel knowing that she will never see the REAL Thumper! It's just wrong and sick. Let all pets rest in peace <3
I just lost my pet rat and I would never want this done to her, stuffing your pet disrespects your pets body. I don 't know why people think this helps, it is just like having their dead body there all the time...
OMG,no way would I have had that done to my beloved dog who I lost recently, my dog lies in the garden that he loved so much. But I suppose each to its own. Aargh this is definately not for me.
OMFG I got so mad when I saw that stuffed pug! >:( Who would do such a thing? And waste a crap load of money on it?! I'd keep my loved pets buried and let them rest in peace. You'd also think that if you had one of those, it would remind you of your pet and make you sad :[ -sniff- I love pugs...and all animals!
Theres no honor in death...And the dad god! "My daughter is 5..she doesn't know yet" SIT HER DOWN AND TELL HER!..Putting thumper in her face..will warp her..99% it will
@sylevesterandmeisha Are you trying to compare a pet to a full size human??? LMAO First of all if my wife (if i'm ever married and she's still alive) and family were crazy enough to do that I could care less because I'm the one thats dead. Even when its possible to stuff a human I've heard its consider illegal in the states.
@lautnerfreak656 - I agree. I lost my Maltese Feb. 14th. 2010, had him 14 yrs. and 4 days. I gave him a proper burial. I think it would be hard for me to do this and see him everyday.
Thats just wrong you should let your pet rest in peace after it has passed away i have two guinea pigs and a cat i wouldnt let them to that to any of them its just wrong!
@Zenarebecca96 I agree 100%. When you loved a pet more than anything in the world you definitely wouldnt want it to be artificially reconstructed. This crap aint right.
