Don't think I can come with some kind of praise that haven't already been mentioned, but I think one of the reasons that goals like these gets overlooked is because sport journalist and tv producers are bad at prioritizing. For instance how often do you hear top scoring players compared to top assist players? Or why was Xavi so underestimated for a long time? (not any more though). I blame the media, they have been very slow to pick up on this.
