the worst thing about these gigs is that everyone has to sing along. it would be nice to hear the band - the others can listen to themselves in the bath.. for free
By the way - if you do like, what comes out as a result, when "the old" APP members play, you should pay attention to their own projekt, wich was initialized på AP, as a way to pay tribute to the band members:
The band released one record wich shares its name with the band: KEATS
A whole lot af APP sound, just like in the GOOD OLD DAYS.
Having said that, I agree - in my point of view, APP´s songs are worth much more than being turned into MUZAK and sung by a drunken audience.
And for the second time I agree with you in your comment about the loss of APP. Since their ways split, they have not individually been able to come up with anything wich reaches the hights of APP.
But having said that, i must admit, that one of my biggest consert eksperiences was when AP gave a concert in Copenhagen some 10 years ago. Damm good - they played all the monumental songs with an extreemly dedication and stayed true to the numbers - it was almost as hearing the records!
Geez, what happened? Who are these people? If you want to see a song from a show you have never seen before, come on over to my place! Check this out!! Those were the days.
BTW, Woolfson and Parsons had a major falling out years ago - trust me on this! I see things have now degenerated so far that Stuart Elliot and Ian Bairnson have also left the band!!!!!!
That was the tour in 2007. I saw him and the band in Tuttlingen (Germany) and yes that's realy Mr Alan Parson. He got longer hair than an mermaid and a bigger paunch than a wale. But the concert was amazing.
Eric parted ways with Alan after the Freudiana album in 1990. Eric wanted to do on stage musicals like on Broadway (you can hear him leaning towards that idea on the Freudiana album), whereas Alan wanted to do these kind of live concerts internationally. Alan felt that since Eric had left the band, it wasn't right to hold the "Project" label on future albums. So he just now labels his albums as "Alan Parsons". You are correct. Eric was, and still is the best. Check out Freudiana here on Youtube
I LOVE this song and it's great to see it being performed. For the longest time, I didn't know what any of the band members looked like. They were just voices in my head (which I enjoyed hearing very much). :D
this and the "eye in the sky" are just some of old songs that will completely change my mood everytime it's played (live band) in the bars, even in disco houses.. i become like a hippie..don't know why!? heheheh......
Really great to see and hear Alan. Remember the 70's when "Tales of Edgar Alan Poe" was released and I suddenly realized that this was going to be big.
en verdad uno de los grandes y fué en 1982 un buén año para mí lo mejor

la canción es una de las mejores de Alan Parson, pero el sonido y el video es terriblemente malo.

I love that Lady Antebellum's song "Need You Now" sounds close to "Eye In The Sky" I think they should share royalties!

Alan Parsons has a beautiful voice, but for this particular song there was something about Woolfson's voice that fit it better.

The Alan Parsons project never played a live show. This was The Alan Parsons Live Project.

i have read recently that parsons and woolfson had a clash over the flopping "freudiana" - musical and parted.
