This book and it's sequel 'The Executioner', are brilliant. They are very cinematic, but also have very deep and think-worthy plots. For anyone who likes crime-fic, this is a must read.
Very chilling story! Very intriguing in terms of how the killer makes his mark and how he executes his victims, as well as it being sadistic to the murderer (I will not describe it fully to those who have not read it) and how Robert is dragged into the case again after similar events. Its also interesting how his life has kind of brought him up to these events also as we read into the life of Robert and his work in being a dectective in homicides (this being the worst one yet).
