@indyfan22k Ideally, all investigations should be based on facts that can be independently confirmed. However, when this cannot be done, a person's background is often used as a poor substitute. If some guy claims to have a great invention do you find it more believable if he is an MIT Prof or a homeless guy? In this case, there is a guy that seems "down on his luck" and perhaps he is less credible as a result. Clearly better to use data.

Good episode.. I agree on the age factor and others with SUA and statistics over years do prove trends and the most telling to me was Toyota's with ETC and reported SUA being over twice the industry average over the last ten years. The floormats may have played part of the role but them choosing the approach of taking no actions for nine years means I am going to have to see those numbers within the averages for a couple of years before I am going to totally TRUST Toyota as a company.

I know for a fact, some of the UA reports have either been fake/caused by driver error. But I think a majority of the reports are caused by the vehicles.

I wonder why people get so cranked up about the "First Viewer" or 'First Comment". I think it's kinda cool! It's like when your car just turns over, say, 100,000 miles. or had repeating digits on the odo and I stop and take a picture of it.

It only happens once. All you whiners, just relax. Try decaf. ;)

There are people on YT that seem to get enjoyment from making other people feel bad. Frankly, they need to examine their own lives! If someone is going to attack someone, they'd better have a good reason other than they didn't get there first!

This means YOU, you bunch of losers that put a "-" in something as simple as someone that has the luck of being the first viewer, or the first to post. Grow Up.
