I think it is pretty good, but it's damn hard, even on easy. I just got this and I havn't gotten past the train. The weapon system is wierd, and the game didn't have the manual, so mabey I don't know all the details yet..
The concept was a good one. Hats off to the writers of the story line, acting, and the programmers of the CG cut scenes. Curse the people who produced the lackluster game play, sound, music, and enemy AI. The concept of the constant changing perspectives was cool and would have worked wonderful with better enemy design and strategy. The game offered great variety, but delivered a very mediocre experience with all the various views of game play IMO.
I disagree about the music though. I really wish there were a way to extract it from the CD somehow, but I hear it's rather difficult due to some special technical reason I know nothing about.
As for the gameplay...well...it's a shooter. Honestly it doesn't feel that different from any other shooter to me. But that's cool, because I like games that remind me of retro gaming...and I really like how they took advantage of the PS1's hardware.
@WaxHeadroom Jag games were TERRIBLE unless it was a port of an arcade game or 1st party game in some cases. All the racing games were TERRIBLE and SLOW.

that train gave me so much grief when i first played this game....stupid laser...then again i was 8 when i first played it.

If you played it , it would have gotten on your nerves, but the story kept you playing.
