A good TErran just go in and go all arround to get back in your gas ko gas = no lurk and then just start micro to ko drones or just let you out of resures..
This was great thanks a lot! Subscribed. I usually go mass muta now on my opponent, I'm a total newbie, don't even know half of the hotkeys yet, but mass muta to those gaurdians i think they're called always seems to work, with a few of the other one's for air you can transform the muta's too. But I forgot all about the defiler, and I can't wait to mass up something beside's muta's instead and try to break his wall down with the defiler cloud of war.
This was a great help, thanks! I had a request for a continuation of this particular series if you are still working on these. This is a good example of a small contain but I've found that a lot of Terran players go with a ton of tanks and rines with medics and sometimes even a Science Vessel or 2. Is the Dark Swarm-upped-ling-move still powerful enough to overcome that? Would you need 2 defilers? Maybe your next vid can show an all-out Terran contain break.
you can make a few vultures from the first factory to harass the zerg before you get the wraiths out. Forces him to make sunkens and/or hydras and slows his econ. This could get him thinking your going mech, so he'll probably respond with hydras, which makes a transitions to M&M very effective.
Wraith micro is similar too muta micro. Group with a trapped unit and when your in range hit H and right as the wraith is about to shoot/shooting, turn back around, cooldown, and then move in again
4 pool you pretty much have too pull drones and defend with them as best you can. If you're close positionsa you definiely won't have any lings to defend with, in cross positions they hatch a little after the lings reach your base, so just run your drones away and buy time.
Two port wraith isn't that great of a build, but the BO is:
1.) If you know zerg will 4 pool, you could go 8 rax, 9 (or 10?) supply. Assuming this is on a map like python or lt, set 3 (or 4, to be safe) scvs on the ramp to block, with marines rallied right behind the scvs. Personally, I always go 9 supply into rax, for more econ, and then block ramp with scvs and pump marines out asap.
2.) 2 port wraiths = standard mecha build only, build 1 fac and once completed, immediately build 2 starports
u play completly different in a ZvZ match, you build your pool at 9 then your gas then 2 drones then the overlord then 6 zerglings then lair then the spire then muts. and u got to build zerlings all the time!
@cancerbero8 Try scouting with a drone during a ZvZ Match. 4 pool is crazy! man! its so risky! 9 pool, is basically the way to go, also try harassing with your scouting drone and try to delay the pool as much as possible. They might be forced to make a 5th drone, which basically means it isnt 4 pool anymore. during this whole time you could have saved up for a spawning pool and be prepared for the early pressure. After you have survived always try and transition to muta and go for the win.
3.) And for wraith micro, you can stack them by putting them in a control group with a non-moveable unit, either a sieged tank, or a scv caught behind min. lines, or stuck rine. Once stacked, the micro is pretty much just muta micro--always move directly towards targets, fire, quickly move away. To micro against trailing air units, use patrol command directly in front, when the attacking units are 1.5 wraith units away from your control group of wraiths.

well, I would be very happy to learn how to stop a 4 pool, lol.
Or, if not, how to do a 2 port wraiths (or wraith micro)?
cancerbero8 2 years ago
@cancerbero8
To stop a 4 pool:
1.) If you know zerg will 4 pool, you could go 8 rax, 9 (or 10?) supply. 2.) 2 port wraiths = standard mecha build only, build 1 fac and once completed, immediately build 2 starports

How would you stop a 4 pool with zerg? I usually see the zerglings too late since the overlord takes ages to get to the enemy base.

@StarCraftNoobTrainer
So, do you think that a 9 pool is good enough if the opponent is crazy enough to go for a 4 pool in zvz?
cancerbero8 2 years ago
on a 2player map it could become close
just try to get your lings out and micro you drones well until they are
ill try this out vs a good players and i can tell you later..
but it should be possible...
