@BlueJellyzhn I'm British and I usually hate American comedies but 30 Rock is one of most clever and hilarious sitcoms out there. I think a lot of the satire is lost on the UK audience though.. which is a shame, the ratings are not great. It definitely has something of a cult following over here however.

when you think of the shows that are actually popular and have the high ratings, (jersey shore, american idol etc) i guess you've gotta sit back and think that most people will watch crap on tv. And maybe 30 rock doesn't get the biggest ratings, but the people watching it are alot smarter for it.

@BlueJellyzhn I'm British and I usually hate American comedies but 30 Rock is one of most clever and hilarious sitcoms out there. I think a lot of the satire is lost on the UK audience though.. which is a shame, the ratings are not great. It definitely has something of a cult following over here however.

@reecewindsor10 I'm Aussie, and I couldn't agree more. 30 Rock is so inventive and funny! Where do they get their ideas from? Just brilliant. So comically rich you can watch episodes again and again and find things you missed before. A lot like Arrested Development in that way.
Don't agree about hating US comedies though. Seinfeld, Arrested Development, 30 Rock?

@WoordWerks I think it's a mixture of things. You won't have seen much of Sarah Palin and how ridiculous she is in the UK unless you're already watching the US shows that have crossed over the pond; 30 Rock, The Office (U.S), The Daily Show so it's not likely that the audience are that aware of her. Also, I think the Minnesota reference is lost on most of them because we're not familiar with the accent and the crowd was generally terrible for that show for everyone who was on.
