Questa musica infonde in me ricordi di gruppi quali Jethro Tull ("Buree" e "Aqualung"), Genesis ("Foxtrot" e "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway") e Kansas ("Carry On My Wayward Son"). La musica e gli arrangiamenti sono superlativi, a piena dimostrazione del valore di questo mitico gruppo.

This is my favourite PFM piece, without a doubt. The english-language version doesn't compare either, since they drastically changed the mix, pushing the Mellotrons back in the mix in favour of string synths, which just don't have the romantic charm of a 'tron. I love that middle section with the guitar melody...gives me goosebumps just like the middle of "And You And I" by Yes!

actually the original italian lyrics suggest a metaphor for life as a river ("via di qua" translates kind of "waterway") the title seems like paying homage to the Po river , Italy's longest
