thank you for the list. it must have taken you a lot of time to hunt down all that romance...it's really inspiring. and i actually found a few movies i hadn't seen. if you're still there i advise you to check out two movies based on william shakespeare's Taming of the shrew: "10 thing's I hate about you" and another one with Rufus Sewell Shakespeare Retold: The Taming of the Shrew. the last one is to die for....hilarious.

@teamausten You are absolutely right that some are not as romantic, however, after six videos and about 100 movies on, it's really hard to choose which is more romantic and everyone's got different taste, so in this case, the more the better. :-) I take it you're Jane Austen fan?

Can't say I agree with all of them, personally I think that "Down To You" is the worst romantic comedy I've ever had to sit through but for the most part you have good taste. Just wish there would've been clips as well as pics.

WOW! I've got about half the movies on DVD or VCD. The reason it's not an even higher share is that I don't care much for movies with a historic setting.

I like that the list is written down as well and that you write about how you got started. I miss this in many of the other lists available on YT.

I like the list a lot and will get started on seeing the movies with a "present day" setting that I haven't seen.

Yes you have some great movies on the list. There is a 2008 BBC production of Sense and Sensibility that is very nice. A few other really good ones that a lot of people don't know about are:

Falling for a Dancer

The Magic of Ordinary Days (Hallmark)

Dear Frankie (although it's not a truly romantic ending)

Firelight

Some more obvious ones are The Lake House, Phantom of the Opera and The Time Traveler's Wife.
