  • hey my name is jaden im 21 and was diagnosed with eds as a young child. i have been having a lot more trouble with my fingers latley and just started looking into ring splints, my ot and a few other docs and i have had them on our " look into" list and your video post was very helpful thank you. J

  • wow your fingers and wrists realy are flexible, sorry for all the pain you have to go about on a regular basis!

  • The other thing about the splints, while I'm waiting for them to come in they make these plastic molds and the one they made for the middle joint ended up being more painful, like it was somehow separating the joint, which is exactly what I wanted to prevent in getting this one. Have you seen any that would prevent that joint from sliding back(sublux?) out of the socket but still allow functionality? Also w/ the POTS my hands swell n shrink so sometimes they dig in and sometimes they fly off..

  • I got splints 4 my fingertips and now I need ones for my middle joint on my index finger. The fingertips have latteral support, which I really feel this joint needs but because they will overlap she only ordered the regular one. Thoughts? I just happen to have a girl I was very good friends with in highschool whose dad is a master goldsmith/metal smith, I was going to consult them too, but since you use them everyday and they've never heard of these I thought maybe you'd have some input.

  • I used silver elastic with jewelry fittings to make the bracelets for the thumb splints. They ride higher, so they would avoid your wrist braces. Also, they're very easy to get on & off.

  • Thanks for this video! Some day I hope to be able to afford these. My only worry is that some day my EDS will prevent me from playing guitar and that'll be a devastating day for sure.

  • My fingers tend to slip side to side, do you think those would help at all?

  • Hi, I have just been sent your youtube website and viewed it with interest as I am thinking of getting the thumb splint. However, you may be interested to know that I wear the fingersplints but the NHS had mine made that the two splints on the same finger are hinged together so, no overlap or gap, just a neat hinge and no rubbing

  • Right now there's an opportunity to help fund research to develop better treatments for EDS through Chase Community Giving.

  • Thank you, maybe these will help me, i'm 14 and it's hard to be in school with a wheelchair because i am always breaking things. People don't believe me but i try to stay strong. Maybe this will help the pain in my wrist! I have EDS type 3 and i will raise awareness!

  • i'm 16. I have EDS type 3 also. people dont believe i need the elevator or a laptop to write. They don't know how much i'd love to walk down the stairs. stay strong! (i gave a presentation in health class about my disease to improve my peers' awareness) maybe that could help you! stay strong!
