Jesus Christ(pbuh) never claimed divinity and Jesus being God goes against the bible as the bible says in book of numbers ch 23, verse 19 "God is not a man, that He should lie,
"Mate the new international version doesn't say this phrase" who is himself God" in John 1:18"
The NIV does, in fact. It was how the team of translators decided to express the significance of the original "koine" Greek (monogenes theos = only - begotten god) into modern idiomatic English. The NIV is not a literal English translation; they render the Greek into English, "idea for idea", not "word for word".
The significance of "monogenes theos" is that it describes the Word of God, Jesus Christ, as the Only Begotten Son Of GOD.
If you think about that, and the rest of the chapter (and the rest of the Bible) you realise that it is, in fact, describing Jesus Christ as God, just as the Father is God and the Holy Spirit is God.
The Bible leaves room for humans to use logic; to add 2+2 and get 4.
Different verses make claims about Jesus that, added up, indicate that HE IS GOD
@JesusChristAboveAll Brother, if u are saying bible says Jesus(pbuh) is the son of God then i wud like to tell u that bible got son's of God in Tonnes. The bible says in Exodus 4:22" Israel is my firstborn son"
Psalm chapter 2, verse 7 " “You(David) are my son; today I have become your father"
It is mentioned in the Gospel of luke chapter 3, verse 38 that Adam(pbuh) is a son of god.
Romans chapter 8, verse 14"For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the son's of god"
Christians believe that we are _adopted_ children of God, while Jesus Christ has a closer and unique relationship with God the Father in heaven. We are like a shoot that has been grafted into a tree, THROUGH Jesus Christ (not directly).
A good site to read the Bible is biblegateway(dot)com
See Romans 8, which describes us as God's children, and not His slaves, and ends thus:
"26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. 31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Jesus Christ is first and foremost, according to Christians.
Many other Bible passages refer to this relationship TO God the Father THROUGH Jesus Christ; it is the theme of the New Testament.
Jesus said enough things about His divinity that the Jews were offended and wanted Him dead. THEY were smart enough to add up the claims and understand their significance.
BTW, when Numbers was being written, The Son of God was still in Heaven; He had not yet taken on a human body.
PS even when He was in His human body, He did not lie.
@JesusChristAboveAll You said, Jesus(pbuh) said enuff things abt his Divnity. Ok Refer the verses where he is, accoording to you, caliming divinity and lets discuss on that. I am challenging you, if u can show me a single umambigous statement from the complete bible where Jesus(pbuh) himself saying that HE IS THE GOD i will accept christianity right now. Show me
About the Jews getting angry when Jesus Christ claimed to be Son of God, that is EQUAL with God, for example to have been eternally self existent, remember that God revealed his name to Moses at the burning bush in Exodus 3 as "I AM". The Jews understood His claim very well.
John 8 has some relevant verses, ending with:
"54 Jesus replied, “If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. My Father, whom you claim as your God, is the one who glorifies me.
55 Though you do not know him, I know him. If I said I did not, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and obey his word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad.” 57 “You are not yet fifty years old,” they said to him, “and you have seen Abraham!”
58 “Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” 59 At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds."
There are other Bible passages that describe Jesus Christ in terms that are only appropriate for God. Rather than me typing them in here, which may contravene some rules, maybe you might read some parts of the New Testament?
John chapter 1 is a good place to start; He is "The Word".
The God cannot enter into his creation because then it gives the image of God. As the Glorious Quran says in surah ikhlas ch 112, verse 1-4"Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;"And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him." It means u cannot compare God so where comes the Question of he taking the form of anything. And the similar msg is given in the Bible in John ch 1, verse 8 "No one has ever seen God"
You had the Bible reference just a little incorrect; it is from the Gospel according to John, chapter 1, verse 18 (not verse 8). This reads, in context:
"14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 (John testified concerning him. ...
He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’”) 16 Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known. ...."
@JesusChristAboveAll I apologise for that, as it was a typing error. Mate cud u plzz tell me which version of the bible u are Quoting here? Coz the word u are adding "who is himself God " this phrase" who is himself God" doesn't exist.
Do not fret about a typing error. Humans are prone to errors, as we are not God.
I generally quote the New International version, but you can read many versions at the biblegateway(dot)com site, freely and safely. Compare versions, such as the "Amplified" one; that one is good for analysing meaning, but not so good for fluent reading.
See how diferent versions translated "monogenes theos" as "the only [e]unique Son, or [f]the only begotten God" etc.
Thank you for stirring me up to look up such a site. I knew such study aids existed, but I need motivation to find them and to study the Bible.
Bible says that Christians have been __adopted__ as children of God, through the free gift of salvation by grace, __through__ faith in Jesus Christ. The verse in question says Christ was the "only - begotten (monogenes) God (theos)". He is first and special and unique.
7:157.....So they who have believed in him, honored him, supported him and followed the light which was sent down with him - it is those who will be the successful.
Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find written in what they have of the Torah and the Gospel, who enjoins upon them what is right and forbids them what is wrong and makes lawful for them the good things and prohibits for them the evil and relieves them of their burden and the shackles which were upon them.
Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. And those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge had come to them - out of jealous animosity between themselves. And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allah, then indeed, Allah is swift in [taking] account.
MUSLIMS people are very wonderful, loving and peaceful ........i might be dreaming right now but i hope and i believe that one day my all MUSLIM brothers and sisters would know the true way of love and peace which is only the way and teaching of JESUS .......i pray for my brothers and sisters till i die ....
Although Islam teaches getting into heaven is a matter of having your good deeds outweigh your bad deeds, there are certain things that guarantee heaven: memorizing the 99 names of Allah, having 2 of your children die before you in jihad, and killing someone who does not believe in Islam.
Q Bukhari, Vol. 3, Number 894. Bukhari, Vol. 2, Number 341. Bukhari, Vol. 1, Number 35
@astr0b0i1. bull shit,,, where did u get this from it must be from internet, u kill someone but u have to teah the truth of islam first,,, these are false referneces..
@theHatchett1..coz in the quran chapter 112, Say (O Muhammad (SAW)): "He is Allâh, (the) One.[] (1) [Allâh the Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, (He neither eats nor drinks)]. (2) "He begets not, nor was He begotten;[] (3) "And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him." (4).
@khan3461 And thats why you fail, thats why the Qur'an is false, muslim deny jesus' deity Always rember you injeel and take these words, No one comes to the father but through me, i am the way, the truth and the light. Its muslims that god is all powerfull and then limits gods power.
@theHatchett1 we muslim believes that jesus was a mighty massenger of GOD to guide the people to stright path.like the massengers in past such as adam, noha, isaac, moses and many others, so wt makes u thnk that jesus was the son of god.muslims never deny the massage of jesus but denies that he was the son of god. jesus never clime devinity...this is ur church which are taking u to false teaching.
@khan3461 So muslims believe jesus was born of a virgin, performed miracles? Islam was "invented" by a bad man, mohammed doesn't have ANY claim as thinks. In the time of christ HIS OWN WORDS WERE "I am the way, the truth and the light. No one comes to father but through me" Muslims believe jesus will have a second coming and not mohammed. Muslims have a very twisted view.
@theHatchett1 jesus asked ALLAAH(GOD) that he wants be in the nation of muhammed therefore god excepted, when jesus is gonna come again he will be muslim not christiain and to fight aganist the non-muslims.. dajal. christain will say o,lord o,lord. juses will say, to christains go away i don,t know u.. no one comes to father but through me means to follow my teaching a person can come to god,,, jesus never clime divinty..
@khan3461 Why would he want to claim divinty? He is the lords son, why walk about preaching i am the son of god worship me! No true diety would say that. Why must you only claim that? LOL and in no way will jesus be muslim, muslim is a made up word for an evil ideology. Just look at the islamic states, look what they do to christians and churches. A sick bunch of backward sub humans.
@theHatchett1 u mindless person wt ever u say does not make any sensce, islam means peace... look at the christains leader wt r they doing today to muslims. after us withdrawn from iraq over 500 innocent people have lost thier lives.. u christain are fool, islam is the only excepted religion in the sight of god. u r going 2 hell... for truth read the quran...
@khan3461 No, There is no christian armys, today there is only foolish muslim army's, do you here the UK or USA scream in the name of jesus? NO but you hear Allah u ackbar everytime a muslim wants to bomb and hide away don't you? YES Islam is not a religion recognised by my god, you're lucifer's follower not god And for the record, ISLAM MEANS TO SUBMITT Not Peace ok, we have your Qur'an you cannot hide anymore, we live amoung you, we see with our own eyes what you are, LIAR'S FACT!
@theHatchett1. well the way u speak it clearly suggest that what u believe,,, if u a right person read quran... by the way will u kill ur son for the sins of mainkind?
@khan3461 I have read the Qur'an thanks, and i have many ex muslim friends here in london, male and female and they have told me all i need to know, You do know why jesus died right? You do know that this earth is just the start of our eternity right?
@theHatchett1.... thats the whole point stop listning to other people read by ur self...one more thing ,,, the reason why god can not have son coz god is not just like a human therefore god does not sons,,,,there is no one like him.thats wt bible says... if jesus ia the son of god than god is the same is human...coz jesus was a human...
@khan3461 And there is why you will never intergrate, never have ANY tollorence towards christians, and ALWAYS burn down there churches. Its you that need to open your eyes and see. I pity you deeply....
@khan3461 There is absolutely NO proof that islam is growing at all hahaha 75% of converts become apostates inside of 3 years, and people are leaving islam faster thatn any religion these are all facts you look at the stats.....
@theHatchett1 listen. u say some rondom things...y u lying...google search now...u will the facts... youtube...islam in europe... u will see the facts..
@khan3461 I'm not lying thanks, and why would i use google when public records are freely avalible here in london. I know the truth, its a shame you don't child.
But Muslims have more babies than the Christians. They teach them to obey without question, and that Islam is not supposed to be questioned, so that leads to much numerical growth in Muslims around the world.
On the other hand, it is true that many Muslims now question their childhood beliefs, and they break away from all the pressure from family and community, learning to think critically. This is good.
@khan3461 The Bible says that God is Love. God is eternal. God does not need us. He made us because He wanted to; not because He must. Before any humans existed, God was already Love This fits perfectly with God being a compound unity; not a numerical unity; "united", not " a number; 1" Love exists when there is a Lover and a Beloved. In the Trinity, there is a three in one of love; Lover Beloved The Love that flows between them. Father Son Holy Spirit I hope that helps :-)
@JesusChristAboveAll.well sadly, the world trinity does not exict in the bible...therefore its a chruch made word..simply yr not following wt jesus asked u 2 follow...jesus said lord is one lord(mark 12:29)...also jesus talks about muhammed peace be upon him(john16:12-14)...
Islam means "submission". Surely you know that is not the same thing as "peace".
Your system uses force and fear to get people to submit, whether they wish it or not.
Human nature finds this hard, so some people end up truly believing that the rules are just, so they will not have to admit to themselves that they are not free. Other people keep on asking questions, even secretly, and those are free in their hearts.
The internet can help those brave people learn more.
@JesusChristAboveAll...islam does not force people to be muslim quran says(2 :256)There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in evil and believes in Allâh, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allâh is All-Hearer, All-Knower...in islam u have the choice to except or not except the truth!!!

Jesus Christ was never a Christian nor a Muslim. He will never be a Christian nor a Muslim, when He resturns. He is eternally the second person of the trinity; "the Son of God", who has 2 natures; fully God and fully human, at the same time.
When He was preaching in Palestine, his hearers often understood Him as claiming that He was Son of God. That is why they threatened to stone Him to death, and why they finally crucified Him.
Why do Muslims think Jesus was unpopular in His time on Earth? If all He did in preaching was to say "obey God's law" and "a better prophet (Mohammed) is coming after me", why did the Jews get so angry at Him?
No, it was mostly because they knew He was claiming to share the divine nature. They were strict monotheists, like Muslims, so this was blasphemy to them
When he was raised from death, this vindicated Him and His claims; it was not blasphemy after all; it was true!
@JesusChristAboveAll jesus never crucified...for more info...go to youtube...type dr.zakir naik debate with india paster regarding the jesus crucifaction..
What Islam teaches about Jesus son of Mary is so different to what Christians believe (from reading and believing the Bible) that it is is, in effect, not the same Jesus.
The New Testament warns Christians against accepting such altered messages.
these jokers shamoun & david seem so inteligent here, buts its funny how they struggle in debates with knowledgeble muslims such as Sami Zatari & Shabir Ally. in one of the debates shamoun becomes so frustrated in disproving zatari that he becomes abusive & starts insulting.
@oceanistoosmall you idiot even the jhon pope vinidict the 16th didn't have moral courage to have debate with Dr. Naik. and u r talking about this cald kid.
@oceanistoosmall. ur priest are coward...even 2day zakir naik challenging any christian,,, go 2 youtube and listen zakir nail debate with william campbell...i dare u...
@Didar1111 hey black stone muhammed, zakir naik never debates scholars, only people who walk in the streets, hhahah.Sam has invited him,he doesnt respond
@bloodhoundHermetic you idiot even the jhon pope vinidict the 16th didn't have moral courage to have debate with Dr. Naik. and u r talking about this cald kid.
God can do anything, but He restricts Himself of things based on His Majestic Decision. Allah is Above His Throne does not signifying that He sits on it have a need to sit on it. And Allah descending to the lower heavens at specific portion of the night [considering that this will 24 hours a day] simply means Allah unveils the lower heavens even more so that Mercy and Forgiveness can rise quickly. But you are asleep; no? Read about Biblical violence or there is none, even in NT?
WHY IS IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD TO ENTER A HUMAN BODY IF HE WANTS TO? IS IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM? WHAT PROOF DO YOU HAVE THAT GOD CANNOT DO IT? BECAUSE THE QURAN SAYS HE CAN'T? WHO CARES WHAT THE QURAN SAYS? EVEN THE QURAN SAYS THAT JESUS WAS WHOLLY CONCEIVED. I'M NOT CHRISTIAN BUT AT LEAST JESUS BEHAVED LIKE A MAN OF GOD, NOT MUHAMMED. MUHAMEMD KILLED , LOOTED, TOOK WOMEN AS SEX SLAVES, 33:50-52, TOOK ONE FIFTH OF THE BOOTY, 8:41. AT LEAST JESUS PREACHED LOVE, PEACE, AND NEVER TOOK PART IN VIOLENCE
@DictaduraNo123 'BECAUSE THE QURAN SAYS HE CAN'T? WHO CARES WHAT THE QURAN SAYS?'
I'm not certain it actually says that.
God gives his Prophet the green light to bust up nine year old snatch. And you any other thing he feels like. Maybe even behead 900 people on a bad day.
Jesus Christ had a human body and a divine spirit. He had 2 natures; God and man.
Of course He ate and slept and defecated. The Bible said He took on flesh, and all the humiliation that entailed. He even chose a poor status in His life, so He shared our suffering.
As Saint Paul wrote to the Philippian church in Philippians 2:
" In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature[a] God
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature[b] of a servant, being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
@crazykid5737 How can anyone believe in Jesus and Muhammad? They both delivered a different message. Jesus said “love your enemy”, and Muhammad said “kill your enemies”
@crazykid5737 Muhammad told his followers to kill their enemies, as well as “unbelievers”
Qur'an:9:5 "Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war."
Qur'an:9:29 "Fight those who do not believe until they all surrender, paying the protective tax in submission."
Qur'an:8:39 "Fight them until all opposition ends and all submit to Allah.
The Muslims teach that Jesus Christ is not such as Christians believe. This sort of thing is what Saint Paul described, in his letters in the New Testament, as prwaching a "different Jesus". Example:
2 Corinthians 11:4
For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.
They describe Jesus Christ as weak and powerless at the end of the world, unable to save Christians, unwilling to accept our worship, and generally less worthy than Mohammed. This is not the same Jesus Christ as Christians know from the Bible.
This looks like another one of these American shopping channels that promote and sell crap. Before you start promoting Christianity on Youtube and T.V. you should at least look like a Christian yourself. I really cant understand as to who you are exactly trying to convince, is it the Muslims with the nonsense your going on about? you are having a serious laugh. I think your imminent concern should be the Christians who are converting to Islam in their thousands every year before.
The should not produce baldness upon their head, and the extremity of their beard the should not shave, and no their flesh they should not make an incision.
17- at that Jehovah said to me , “they have done well in speaking what they did. 18- A prophet I shall raise up for them from the midst of their brothers, like you, and I shall indeed put my words in his mouth, and he will certainly speak to them all that I shall command him. 19- and it must occur that the man who will not listen to my words that he will speak in my name I shall myself require in my name , I shall myself require an account from him.
3rd, in Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 93, Number 536 the hadith clearly shows that there will be nothing to prevent the people from seeing their Lord except the Cover of Majesty over His Face in the Paradise of Eden (eternal bliss). Not on earth as living humans. Moreover, we will no longer be humans in the normal sense. even on the day of judgement we will be a renewed creation that will be uncircumcised and naked as God originally made us. we will also have new forms in heaven and hell.
2nd, God only does Godly things. God can never be ignorant, weak, tired, etc. these are human attributes which seperates man from God. Isaiah 40:28 reads: Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. Also 69:17 reads: And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them. The throne is a symbol of God's authority.
1st, Far is God above the blasphemy you attribute to him! Surah 112 reads--- Say: He is Allah, the One and Only, Allah, the Eternal, Absolute, He begetteth not, nor is He begotten, And there is nothing comparable to Him. Thus, it is impossible for allah to have a human form. Jesus in the bible also clarifies this fact in John 5:37 when he said, "And the Father who sent me has himself testified concerning me. You have never heard his voice nor seen his form."
ok so this guy is asking that give me an ayah, that says God can not appear in a body!!!!! first, WHY would God appear in a body but ok i agree that he can. But Why the heck would God appear in a human body????? give me the answer to that?
In the man Jesus Christ, the godhead did not only appear in a body; The Son of Godd took on flesh with its pain and limitations, so He would forever identify with us as the great High Priest of Heaven able to intercede for us.
In His love He even chose to live in eartly poverty in those years, and to allow Himself to be tortured on the cross.
He loves us that much. He knows what it is like to be human. For a few years He laid aside His priviliges.
@Rezyne i think this verse in itself is very imbigeous like a lot of verses in the quran are, there not easy to understand in straight forth way, its needs something addition to give more clarification
@Rezyne i think this verse in itself is very imbigeous like a lot of verses in the quran are, there not easy to understand in straight forth way, its needs something addition to give more clarification
there is a big difference of being counted as righteous, and being sinless, all the prophets of the biblical line were couned as righteous , that too of people favoured for a certain role like mary and elizabeth
and being sinless cause this is where islam has a major problem cause they believe all prophet were sinless but this is not true cause most of the prophet we men who occasional went wrong and sinned like david did
@YahyaSnow: All of our opinions aside Yahya...If we say that something is NOT possible for God, he cannot be God. The Bible also clearly states that nothing is impossible for God. You as a muslim have to accept the basic fact that there should not be anything impossible for God to do, if you say he is NOT able to for some reason, you are limiting God, please do not bring Gods supreme character down or limit him based on your limited understanding of him. This is VERY poor reasoning my friend.
@WilteredFire Nothing is impossible to Allah our only God. You are right, we Muslims accept ('believe' is the right term) the basic fact that there should not be anything impossible for Allah to do.
@WilteredFire BUT we also 'believe' that Allah was not Jesus because it has been clarified in the Quran (5:116 - 117). The prophet Jesus was a servant to Allah. How can Jesus be Allah? Christianity are creation of human Paul, not the Prophet Jesus (Matthew 7:22). So it is not a question of whether is it possible for Allah to appear as Jesus, rather it should be a question whether did Allah appear as Jesus? And in the Quran it clearly stated the ans is NO!
@dusxxxt oh right 5 : 116 clarifies everythign, is this for real it also says mary is a god, 1 we believe in one God not 3, and we believe has come in the form of 3 spriritual person, and none re mary, so this one is out of the window, its a misinterpretation, and matt 7:22 is not helping you either
@followerofjesus1984 cause u need to read the full context of the passage 2 verse, its talking about Christian and people who do not keep to the fathers will, and this includes muslims on 2 levels, the fathers will is preach about Christ deity, his sacrifice and resurrection as the new testament declare but it is also about salvation being obtained through believe in and giving ur life to Christ
@followerofjesus1984 now two to 2 level it effects muslims, notice it say only those who do the fathers will, well if this is true then u dont do it cause allah is a father to noone, and u do not preache the gospel oe even believe in the core message of it, so dont try to use this for ur defence
@followerofjesus; And where do you find that 'will of the Father'? Is it in your mind only? Because Jesus, according to ur bible, says that anyone who bears witness that Jesus is the Messiah is of God. You don't bear witness that he is the messiah. You bear witness that he is God who appeared as the messiah. Which is a lie against Jesus, but an even bigger transgression against God.
@Rezyne let examine this cause u need to kow that this passage in 1 john 5: 1 u need to read 1 john 4 :1-6- then 5 :1 - 12 bu then read 1 john 5 :6 and jesus Christ was revealed as the son of God ----- so in effect u need to read all 1 john to realise that what he is saying is that those who believe in Christ who has came of God, those are tru cause it tell you that jeus died for the sin of man, and that he is God's son
@follower- when you say 'son of God' what do you mean? Is it the general Jewish meaning as Jesus calls all of his followers his brothers and tell them that they are all children of God? Or are you implying something else?
@Rezyne he has the same divine nature as the father, and they both share the title of God ikewise doe the spirit, so they are a trine God, one God in three persons (divine attributed person, ys exactly we his brothers n sister and God children through faith in him and his sacrifice, i use all bible, i dont just have one, i have 12, and no matter what one u go with its the same message,
@Rezyne i know hs the messiah, but that is only part of it, cause the whole bible affirms his deity so dont take it out of context ----- read 1 john 5 all the way through and the truth will be known thst he is the messiah, the son of God and the prince of peace so forth, by using this line ur showing ur dishonesty, read it cause it shows he is the son of God and he is
@follower- No matter how you want to word it, your belief is that Jesus is God who became the Messiah. Through the haystack of verses that you sump, it remains that your belief is not that Jesus is the Messiah, but that he is God who appeared as the Messiah. Perhaps you should find that quote from Jesus: Anyone who bears witness that I am God who became the Messiah is of God.
Unfortunately for you, that bible verse is non-existent.....so far.
@Rezyne sorry ur a little misled, we dont say he became the messiah, that is his title, he is eternally the son of God, and is God himself as the whole new testament declares, udont know anything about my belief, he is the son of God , the christ
@Rezyne and when did i say such a thing, this is just ur misconception, he is the son of God the whole new testament declares, and the Christ is a title that ment messiah, that represents him, but he is the son of God as he declares , as all the writers declare and as God declares too
@followerofjesus1984 Jesus, according to ur bible, says that anyone who bears witness that Jesus is the Messiah is of God. u saidthis and it shows that u never read the bible and ur just using ahmeddeedat, who is known for twistng scrpiture of the bible, so i will show u waht it says -- 1 john 5 :1 everyone who believes that Jesus is the christ has becaome a child of God , but this means one must believe that he is the son of God as the passage tells u if u read t all,
@Rezyne ephraim, was the first born in a dfferent sence , meaning through faith
and i already said that Jesus is the son of God cause he is the eternal son, his divinity orinated from God as does the fathers and the spiris,
he is the origantor of life, everything was made through him and for him, and this includes you, althog u deny it, , and by denying him you deny the father and your not free
@followerofjesus1984 the term first born, has two meanings, 1 is that the person humans relation to a human father as in first son born, 2 is the way God choose someone to establish hisways through, as in his covenat and his law, not neccasarily the first child born the one who is favour for a great roe in God purpose
1 if you dont believe that jesus is te sone of God or even God , but just a prophet, then why does the quran prove he is, in surah 19 :19 it say his the holy son, which comes from luke 1 :35 which say he will be holy, son of God
and that in surah 3 : 45 he is called the word and the spirit of allah, the word come comes from john 1 :1 in the beginning there was the word - the was with God and the word was God
@follower- I think I understand the Islamic concept of Jesus well enough. But that was not my question. My question is: What do you mean when you say that Jesus was the son of God?
@follower- The bible actually says that there are many sons of God. Do you mean that they all existed before everything made? Do you mean all these sons are also eternal?
@Rezyne nope, they are sons through faith in God, but Jesus is the eternal son that existed before all things, and is the reason for all thing in there being,
u believe in God being one right? how one being or person of God create a whole new creation of humans if he has nothing to compare it to, or give his love purpose, there has to a tangible reason for god to create through, and if there is only one person then its not love, cause there is always an object that its focused on
1Chronicles17:13 I will be his Father, and he shall be my Son;
This verse is talking about Solomon. Read 1 Chron22:7-11.
1Chron28:5-65: And of all my sons...he has chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel. He said to me, `It is Solomon your son who shall build my house and my courts, for I have chosen him to be my Son, and I will be his Father.
There are more, but lets see if u will throw away the title God gave Solomon.
"hen your days are over and you go to be with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, one of your own sons, and I will establish his kingdom. He is the one who will build a house for me, and I will establish his throne for ever. I will be his father, and he will be my son. I will never take my love away from him, as I took it away from your predecessor. 14 I will set him over my house and my kingdom for ever; his throne will be established for ever."
@Bakin- Did you even bother reading the book yourself? If you had, then you would not have mentioned what you did. Just read 1 Chronicles 28:2-7. Its a short read. Verse 6 says:"He said to me, 'Your son Solomon is the one who shall build My house and My courts; for I have chosen him to be a son to Me, and I will be a father to him.
Again, 'God' says here that Solomon shall build His house and will be His Son. Do you agree with the verse? **P.S- please read it before u comment on it.
@Bakin- Well what was said in Chapter 17? God Promised David that one of his own sons would build the House of God and rule over his kingdom. In Chp28 David says that Solomon is the son that was being spoken about in chp17! So when I said it referred to Solomon, I was correct. But you immediately said it referred to Jesus because you couldn't imagine that God would say those very surprising things about Solomon. Do u believe David spoke correctly?
@Bakin- Exactly! Abraham didn't say "well this is just absurd, I'll never do this!" when he received God's order to kill his son. He simply obeyed. And God made it easy for Abraham when He canceled the order and substituted a ram instead. In any case, Abraham was still subservient and obedient. His attitude was: 'I hear and I obey'. Even if it was his own son or a ram.
So I appreciate that you said that you will not reject something simply because you don't like it or understand it.
"'You are not yet fifty years old,' they said to him, 'and you have seen Abraham!' 'Very truly I tell you,' Jesus answered, 'before Abraham was born, I am!'"
(i use different online bibles....different translations. so the style of language differentiate)
@Bakin- as far as I know, He will Bare His Shin. Only those that believe will recognize the Shin. As for what it would look like, or how it is going to be done- I have no such knowledge; nor do I venture into my imagination to ponder how it is going to be done. The texts, as far as I know, do not make mention that it is either literal nor metaphorical- hence I accept it at face value without adding my opinions to it. And God Knows best. I can try to find out more for u though.
@Rezyne i think this verse in itself is very imbigeous like a lot of verses in the quran are, there not easy to understand in straight forth way, its needs something addition to give more clarification
@follower- Luke 1:6:They were both righteous in the sight of God, walking BLAMELESSLY in ALL the commandments and requirements of the Lord.
The verse says they never breached the rules of God! This makes them sinless! How could they have sinned if they didn't break any of God's rules? So Jesus is not even the only sinless person in your theology! So tell us, what makes Jesus so unique?
@Rezyne here u go confusing wo words righteous and sinless are nt the same thing, as i have already said, any one can be righteous , and still go wrong from time to time, like david, he was righteous, but this is not an indication of being sinless as no one but jesus is sinles, meaning that he is pure and untainted, so dont conflate two issues, they were righeous meaning they were obedient to God, not sinless
@follower- the verse says blameless. They kept all the laws of God blamelessly. That means they were sinless! I emphasized blameless, not righteous. Because the ONLY WAY they could have sinned, was if they broke one of the laws of God; but the verse says that they kept ALL the laws BLAMELESSLY. This means that they were sinless. Does it not?
@Rezyne no the verse says they were careful to obey the lord, which means they still could go wrong but as they were good people they would repent like david was righteous, and abraham and all the prophets , still they went wrong like all huams can go wrong
Jesus Christ(pbuh) never claimed divinity and Jesus being God goes against the bible as the bible says in book of numbers ch 23, verse 19 "God is not a man, that He should lie,
Nor a son of man, that He should repent"

"Mate the new international version doesn't say this phrase" who is himself God" in John 1:18"
The NIV does, in fact. It was how the team of translators decided to express the significance of the original "koine" Greek (monogenes theos = only - begotten god) into modern idiomatic English. The NIV is not a literal English translation; they render the Greek into English, "idea for idea", not "word for word".
JesusChristAboveAll 5 days ago
The significance of "monogenes theos" is that it describes the Word of God, Jesus Christ, as the Only Begotten Son Of GOD.
If you think about that, and the rest of the chapter (and the rest of the Bible) you realise that it is, in fact, describing Jesus Christ as God, just as the Father is God and the Holy Spirit is God.
The Bible leaves room for humans to use logic; to add 2+2 and get 4.
Different verses make claims about Jesus that, added up, indicate that HE IS GOD
JesusChristAboveAll 5 days ago
@JesusChristAboveAll Brother, if u are saying bible says Jesus(pbuh) is the son of God then i wud like to tell u that bible got son's of God in Tonnes. The bible says in Exodus 4:22" Israel is my firstborn son"
Psalm chapter 2, verse 7 " “You(David) are my son; today I have become your father"
It is mentioned in the Gospel of luke chapter 3, verse 38 that Adam(pbuh) is a son of god.
Romans chapter 8, verse 14"For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the son's of god"

@4423ghostrider
"bible got son's of God in Tonnes"
True.
JesusChristAboveAll 5 days ago
"26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
JesusChristAboveAll 5 days ago
29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. 31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
JesusChristAboveAll 5 days ago
32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
JesusChristAboveAll 5 days ago
Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
JesusChristAboveAll 5 days ago
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Jesus Christ is first and foremost, according to Christians.
Many other Bible passages refer to this relationship TO God the Father THROUGH Jesus Christ; it is the theme of the New Testament.

@4423ghostrider
:-)

About the Jews getting angry when Jesus Christ claimed to be Son of God, that is EQUAL with God, for example to have been eternally self existent, remember that God revealed his name to Moses at the burning bush in Exodus 3 as "I AM". The Jews understood His claim very well.
John 8 has some relevant verses, ending with:
"54 Jesus replied, “If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. My Father, whom you claim as your God, is the one who glorifies me.
JesusChristAboveAll 5 days ago
55 Though you do not know him, I know him. If I said I did not, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and obey his word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad.” 57 “You are not yet fifty years old,” they said to him, “and you have seen Abraham!”
JesusChristAboveAll 5 days ago
58 “Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” 59 At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds."
There are other Bible passages that describe Jesus Christ in terms that are only appropriate for God. Rather than me typing them in here, which may contravene some rules, maybe you might read some parts of the New Testament?
John chapter 1 is a good place to start; He is "The Word".
JesusChristAboveAll 5 days ago
The God cannot enter into his creation because then it gives the image of God. As the Glorious Quran says in surah ikhlas ch 112, verse 1-4"Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;"And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him." It means u cannot compare God so where comes the Question of he taking the form of anything. And the similar msg is given in the Bible in John ch 1, verse 8 "No one has ever seen God"
4423ghostrider 1 week ago
@4423ghostrider
15 (John testified concerning him. ...
JesusChristAboveAll 1 week ago
He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’”) 16 Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known. ...."
I hope that helps.

@JesusChristAboveAll I apologise for that, as it was a typing error. Mate cud u plzz tell me which version of the bible u are Quoting here? Coz the word u are adding "who is himself God " this phrase" who is himself God" doesn't exist.
4423ghostrider 1 week ago
@4423ghostrider

See also the interlinear Bible at:

Thank you for stirring me up to look up such a site. I knew such study aids existed, but I need motivation to find them and to study the Bible.
Bible says that Christians have been __adopted__ as children of God, through the free gift of salvation by grace, __through__ faith in Jesus Christ. The verse in question says Christ was the "only - begotten (monogenes) God (theos)". He is first and special and unique.

Let's do lots of sins as the debt has already been paid by somebody else. I think Christianity in this perspective is a win win situation for Hitler ?

But Muslims have more babies than the Christians. They teach them to obey without question, and that Islam is not supposed to be questioned, so that leads to much numerical growth in Muslims around the world.
On the other hand, it is true that many Muslims now question their childhood beliefs, and they break away from all the pressure from family and community, learning to think critically. This is good.

JesusChristAboveAll 2 weeks ago
Why do Muslims think Jesus was unpopular in His time on Earth? If all He did in preaching was to say "obey God's law" and "a better prophet (Mohammed) is coming after me", why did the Jews get so angry at Him?
No, it was mostly because they knew He was claiming to share the divine nature. They were strict monotheists, like Muslims, so this was blasphemy to them
When he was raised from death, this vindicated Him and His claims; it was not blasphemy after all; it was true!

CAN GOD URINATE AND DEFICATE? like jesus did. (he ate and drank)

@Rimedzo08 God can do anything
ManInControI 4 months ago
@Rimedzo08
JesusChristAboveAll 3 weeks ago
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature[b] of a servant, being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!
JesusChristAboveAll 3 weeks ago
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

JesusChristAboveAll 3 weeks ago
@crazykid5737
They describe Jesus Christ as weak and powerless at the end of the world, unable to save Christians, unwilling to accept our worship, and generally less worthy than Mohammed. This is not the same Jesus Christ as Christians know from the Bible.

The throne is a symbol of God's authority.
hadid1ahke 1 year ago
1st, Far is God above the blasphemy you attribute to him! Surah 112 reads--- Say: He is Allah, the One and Only, Allah, the Eternal, Absolute, He begetteth not, nor is He begotten, And there is nothing comparable to Him. Thus, it is impossible for allah to have a human form. Jesus in the bible also clarifies this fact in John 5:37 when he said, "And the Father who sent me has himself testified concerning me. You have never heard his voice nor seen his form."

TheBarbie1998 1 year ago
@TheBarbie1998
For a few years He laid aside His priviliges.

there is a big difference of being counted as righteous, and being sinless, all the prophets of the biblical line were couned as righteous , that too of people favoured for a certain role like mary and elizabeth
and being sinless cause this is where islam has a major problem cause they believe all prophet were sinless but this is not true cause most of the prophet we men who occasional went wrong and sinned like david did

megawolf7 1 year ago
@YahyaSnow: All of our opinions aside Yahya...If we say that something is NOT possible for God, he cannot be God. The Bible also clearly states that nothing is impossible for God. You as a muslim have to accept the basic fact that there should not be anything impossible for God to do, if you say he is NOT able to for some reason, you are limiting God, please do not bring Gods supreme character down or limit him based on your limited understanding of him. This is VERY poor reasoning my friend.
WilteredFire 1 year ago
@WilteredFire Nothing is impossible to Allah our only God. You are right, we Muslims accept ('believe' is the right term) the basic fact that there should not be anything impossible for Allah to do.
dusxxxt 1 year ago
@WilteredFire BUT we also 'believe' that Allah was not Jesus because it has been clarified in the Quran (5:116 - 117). The prophet Jesus was a servant to Allah. How can Jesus be Allah? Christianity are creation of human Paul, not the Prophet Jesus (Matthew 7:22). So it is not a question of whether is it possible for Allah to appear as Jesus, rather it should be a question whether did Allah appear as Jesus? And in the Quran it clearly stated the ans is NO!
dusxxxt 1 year ago
@dusxxxt oh right 5 : 116 clarifies everythign, is this for real it also says mary is a god, 1 we believe in one God not 3, and we believe has come in the form of 3 spriritual person, and none re mary, so this one is out of the window, its a misinterpretation, and matt 7:22 is not helping you either
followerofjesus1984 1 year ago
@followerofjesus1984 cause u need to read the full context of the passage 2 verse, its talking about Christian and people who do not keep to the fathers will, and this includes muslims on 2 levels, the fathers will is preach about Christ deity, his sacrifice and resurrection as the new testament declare but it is also about salvation being obtained through believe in and giving ur life to Christ
followerofjesus1984 1 year ago
@followerofjesus1984 now two to 2 level it effects muslims, notice it say only those who do the fathers will, well if this is true then u dont do it cause allah is a father to noone, and u do not preache the gospel oe even believe in the core message of it, so dont try to use this for ur defence
followerofjesus1984 1 year ago
@followerofjesus; And where do you find that 'will of the Father'? Is it in your mind only? Because Jesus, according to ur bible, says that anyone who bears witness that Jesus is the Messiah is of God. You don't bear witness that he is the messiah. You bear witness that he is God who appeared as the messiah. Which is a lie against Jesus, but an even bigger transgression against God.
Rezyne 1 year ago
@Rezyne let examine this cause u need to kow that this passage in 1 john 5: 1 u need to read 1 john 4 :1-6- then 5 :1 - 12 bu then read 1 john 5 :6 and jesus Christ was revealed as the son of God ----- so in effect u need to read all 1 john to realise that what he is saying is that those who believe in Christ who has came of God, those are tru cause it tell you that jeus died for the sin of man, and that he is God's son
followerofjesus1984 1 year ago
@follower- when you say 'son of God' what do you mean? Is it the general Jewish meaning as Jesus calls all of his followers his brothers and tell them that they are all children of God? Or are you implying something else?
By the way, what version of the bible do u use?
Rezyne 1 year ago
@Rezyne he has the same divine nature as the father, and they both share the title of God ikewise doe the spirit, so they are a trine God, one God in three persons (divine attributed person, ys exactly we his brothers n sister and God children through faith in him and his sacrifice, i use all bible, i dont just have one, i have 12, and no matter what one u go with its the same message,
followerofjesus1984 1 year ago
@Rezyne i know hs the messiah, but that is only part of it, cause the whole bible affirms his deity so dont take it out of context ----- read 1 john 5 all the way through and the truth will be known thst he is the messiah, the son of God and the prince of peace so forth, by using this line ur showing ur dishonesty, read it cause it shows he is the son of God and he is
followerofjesus1984 1 year ago
@follower- No matter how you want to word it, your belief is that Jesus is God who became the Messiah. Through the haystack of verses that you sump, it remains that your belief is not that Jesus is the Messiah, but that he is God who appeared as the Messiah. Perhaps you should find that quote from Jesus: Anyone who bears witness that I am God who became the Messiah is of God.
Unfortunately for you, that bible verse is non-existent.....so far.
Rezyne 1 year ago
@Rezyne sorry ur a little misled, we dont say he became the messiah, that is his title, he is eternally the son of God, and is God himself as the whole new testament declares, udont know anything about my belief, he is the son of God , the christ
followerofjesus1984 1 year ago
@Rezyne and when did i say such a thing, this is just ur misconception, he is the son of God the whole new testament declares, and the Christ is a title that ment messiah, that represents him, but he is the son of God as he declares , as all the writers declare and as God declares too
followerofjesus1984 1 year ago
@followerofjesus1984 Jesus, according to ur bible, says that anyone who bears witness that Jesus is the Messiah is of God. u saidthis and it shows that u never read the bible and ur just using ahmeddeedat, who is known for twistng scrpiture of the bible, so i will show u waht it says -- 1 john 5 :1 everyone who believes that Jesus is the christ has becaome a child of God , but this means one must believe that he is the son of God as the passage tells u if u read t all,
followerofjesus1984 1 year ago
@follower- Wasn't Ephraim the first born of God? Wasn't Israel also the fist born? What do you mean when you say that Jesus is the son of God?
Rezyne 1 year ago
@Rezyne ephraim, was the first born in a dfferent sence , meaning through faith
and i already said that Jesus is the son of God cause he is the eternal son, his divinity orinated from God as does the fathers and the spiris,
he is the origantor of life, everything was made through him and for him, and this includes you, althog u deny it, , and by denying him you deny the father and your not free
followerofjesus1984 1 year ago
@followerofjesus1984 the term first born, has two meanings, 1 is that the person humans relation to a human father as in first son born, 2 is the way God choose someone to establish hisways through, as in his covenat and his law, not neccasarily the first child born the one who is favour for a great roe in God purpose
followerofjesus1984 1 year ago
@followerofjesus1984 my questions now
1 if you dont believe that jesus is te sone of God or even God , but just a prophet, then why does the quran prove he is, in surah 19 :19 it say his the holy son, which comes from luke 1 :35 which say he will be holy, son of God
and that in surah 3 : 45 he is called the word and the spirit of allah, the word come comes from john 1 :1 in the beginning there was the word - the was with God and the word was God
followerofjesus1984 1 year ago
@follower- I think I understand the Islamic concept of Jesus well enough. But that was not my question. My question is: What do you mean when you say that Jesus was the son of God?
Rezyne 1 year ago
@Rezyne i answered thi, i sed he is eternal and exsiste before everything made, an that everything was created through him,
followerofjesus1984 1 year ago
@follower- The bible actually says that there are many sons of God. Do you mean that they all existed before everything made? Do you mean all these sons are also eternal?
Rezyne 1 year ago
@Rezyne nope, they are sons through faith in God, but Jesus is the eternal son that existed before all things, and is the reason for all thing in there being,
u believe in God being one right? how one being or person of God create a whole new creation of humans if he has nothing to compare it to, or give his love purpose, there has to a tangible reason for god to create through, and if there is only one person then its not love, cause there is always an object that its focused on

BakinKoljac 1 year ago
@Bakin- Well what was said in Chapter 17? God Promised David that one of his own sons would build the House of God and rule over his kingdom. In Chp28 David says that Solomon is the son that was being spoken about in chp17! So when I said it referred to Solomon, I was correct. But you immediately said it referred to Jesus because you couldn't imagine that God would say those very surprising things about Solomon. Do u believe David spoke correctly?

of course david spoke correctly...i hope so :P
hey, i want to be objectiv. theres no "this is wrong, this is impossible", just because i dont like it or cant understand it.
BakinKoljac 1 year ago
@Bakin- Exactly! Abraham didn't say "well this is just absurd, I'll never do this!" when he received God's order to kill his son. He simply obeyed. And God made it easy for Abraham when He canceled the order and substituted a ram instead. In any case, Abraham was still subservient and obedient. His attitude was: 'I hear and I obey'. Even if it was his own son or a ram.
So I appreciate that you said that you will not reject something simply because you don't like it or understand it.

Rezyne 1 year ago
@Rezyne here u go confusing wo words righteous and sinless are nt the same thing, as i have already said, any one can be righteous , and still go wrong from time to time, like david, he was righteous, but this is not an indication of being sinless as no one but jesus is sinles, meaning that he is pure and untainted, so dont conflate two issues, they were righeous meaning they were obedient to God, not sinless
followerofjesus1984 1 year ago
@follower- the verse says blameless. They kept all the laws of God blamelessly. That means they were sinless! I emphasized blameless, not righteous. Because the ONLY WAY they could have sinned, was if they broke one of the laws of God; but the verse says that they kept ALL the laws BLAMELESSLY. This means that they were sinless. Does it not?
Rezyne 1 year ago
