WCAR is emg laden breakdowns, twinkly synths, and pop singing sections. Not post hardcore in the slightest.

Learn some music history, man. Take hardcore. Started in the 80s with bands like Black Flag, Gorilla Biscuits, The Dead Kennedys, shit like that. It grew into various types, still relevant to the original mentality. Short, fast, hard hitting songs. Then, late 80s/early 90s roll around, and bands start changing it up a bit. It still had the mentality and DIY enthusiasm of hardcore, but stylistically, things were changing up. This is where Post Hardcore comes in (see? "post"?).

So, these new bands like Fugazi, Q and Not U, Jawbox, and such started this new movement. Still punk based, but still different enough to denote a separation from traditional hardcore. This genre began to blossom under the lack of constraints, and new bands like Quicksand pushed it in a wider direction. Fast forward even farther, and you'll see bands like Refused giving it the old hardcore edge and At the Drive-In keeping the insane energy alive.

This rampant mislabeling continues to this day, wherein we have shit bands like Attack Attack and WCAR getting lumped in. Truth.

Your wrong, if you listen too all there others songs off the album and there Hope EP, they sound very different. Yes, they still have breakdowns and screams but that's what the genre brings. There is always going to be aspects of bands that sound similiar too others, but it will always be like that. Get the fuck over yourself, and respect the musicianship this band brings!
