In this context, I really feel that they are referring to the islands Jacob and not the biblical one. In the bible he is the son of Isaac, who was the son of Abraham, who God made the old covenant with.  (Don't care for "Mythology)

Jacob also had a son named Benjamin. He tricked his brother, Esau, out of his birthright. And I think the story of Jacob's ladder might also be relevant to Lost.

On the reverse part when they're taking the glasses off of the kid (i forget his name) you can see Jacob's face on the kids face from the glare on the screen.

oh! i think i see what you mean. right after they take off his glasses/ before they put them back on (in reverse), you see a face on his chair projected from the screen. i don't know who it is. maybe it's a random person, maybe it's jacob. it looks like the special jack did in the finale. just saying! i'm not suggesting it's jack.
