I would expect this would be for evacuating a hospital that has become unsafe during an earthquake or some other catastrophe. I wouldn't be concerned by such a vehicle if the passengers are not walled away from the driver.

I think that elder people and "special" kids or adults are a thing where the government has to spend too much money on and they just wish it would dissapear because they just live but don´t do anything "productive" for the economy of the state...It´s sad if the greed overcomes moral.
I think the buses look very nice and would be very useful to care for many people in an emergency situation. They don't appear to have any nefarious purpose. I think there are some very caring people in government who do like to plan for emergencies and want people to be cared for efficiently and comfortably and for medical workers to have what they need. The focus needs to be on the positive, create more of that.
I work for a state hospital. The patients get better medical care than we do who work there. But the odd thing is, the doctors get people stabilized mentally through medication and then start dropping it so the patients become de-stabilized and worse off mentally than before. Its a continuing cycle that we in the nursing staff have to witness over and over again. Very strange.

most of these busses wern't even FEMA busses, I know because we have an actual one at Charlotte, North Carolina, it is a fine bus, we got grants from the federal government, it's an older bus outfitted for mass trauma. I'm an EMS CFR myself and we had to use it unfortunately on several occasions however it mainly stays plugged in behind our rescue squad. We used it for a train accident where 14 people were injured and 2 killed, it was fully staffed with nurses and totally normal.

Would you rather granny be transported in a staff members cramped vehicle or in a medically equipped and staffed bus? Exterior hookups give more options in the event the oxygen runs out in the single tanks and they have access to another oxygen source. Very smart! I don't see how these buses became a fear factor.

For the GA peeps, say there is a 20 car pileup on 95...this bus takes the stress off the EMS system and keeps units in service, to respond to emergencies.

As an EMT I can tell you in the case of a true distaster or another Terror attack these vehicles will be invaluable for transporting wounded victims. An average ambulance can transport 1 critical patient or two lower accuity patient. If you have hundreds of patients a vehicle that can transport and mantain 20-24 patients efficently is very useful. Think about the draw on a community to have to find 20 + Ambulances. 09/11/01 for example, these buses would be invaluable an incident of that size.

I think the buses look very nice and would be very useful to care for many people in an emergency situation. They don't appear to have any nefarious purpose. I think there are some very caring people in government who do like to plan for emergencies and want people to be cared for efficiently and comfortably and for medical workers to have what they need. The focus needs to be on the positive, create more of that.

I work for a state hospital. The patients get better medical care than we do who work there. But the odd thing is, the doctors get people stabilized mentally through medication and then start dropping it so the patients become de-stabilized and worse off mentally than before. Its a continuing cycle that we in the nursing staff have to witness over and over again. Very strange.

If you don't plan for, make arrangements for, or can't afford to have an emergency shelter of your own that is properly equipped for off grid living and safety from flooding and hurricanes etc... then you must face the FEMA idea of temp housing and shelter.
If you just read this then you have the time to do something to save yourself..if not you WILL be at the mercy of FEMA and i will find it hard to be sympathetic for you.

most of these busses wern't even FEMA busses, I know because we have an actual one at Charlotte, North Carolina, it is a fine bus, we got grants from the federal government, it's an older bus outfitted for mass trauma. I'm an EMS CFR myself and we had to use it unfortunately on several occasions however it mainly stays plugged in behind our rescue squad. We used it for a train accident where 14 people were injured and 2 killed, it was fully staffed with nurses and totally normal.

Exterior hookups give more options in the event the oxygen runs out in the single tanks and they have access to another oxygen source. Very smart! I don't see how these buses became a fear factor.

This is really funny because I was ust watching and saw where the bus was from. I live in Brunswick county, right up the road like 2 minutes from the government center. I've seen this bus before just riding around the government center on my bike and they have it in the local parade im pretty sure

I have been inside of one of the buses pictured.
This is not like the other busses designed to get you to the FEMA camp. These busses are equipped just like medic units. It is for medical treatment and transport to hospitals only. It is equipped with just about everything except an operating area.

I saw one of these on a suburban street in colorado springs. it really caught my attention - because of its size, newfangledness, lack of identifying decals, and because of the driver...a woman, who smiled at me like the scary driver in the movie "burnt offerings."
my guess is that the oxygen and refrigeration is to facilitate mobile life-support and organ removal; its commonplace in china, where the vehicles are called "kill vans."

It would be another genius diversion from the real intentions. Dont be surprised if those supplies are never even used once.

OOOKKK the truth is, hate to ruin all the alex jones, ron paul, peeps. These busses are designed to treat and transport 20+ patients at a time, staffed with Paramedics, and EMTS. For the GA peeps, say there is a 20 car pileup on 95...this bus takes the stress off the EMS system and keeps units in service, to respond to emergencies.

These buses do not look threatening at all. If you look at the straps on the stretchers they are no different than a seatbelt that can be undone by the occupant. These seem very legitimate.

What no Hawkeye, Klinger or Hot lips houlihan ?? Great modern version of a medivac system .. 3 days of IN situ resources .. standard disaster timetable plan. Fridge freezer .. hmm blood needs to be kept cooled and parts for reattachment need to be chilled to last longer for better success at reattachment. So far nothing funky. Why places with 86 peeps per sq mi ... how many ambulances they got in that county ? 1 bus or 20 ambulances .. take the bus. am I right .. dunno .. plausable yes.

First of all, these buses have been in use for over 20 years and nothing "fishy" has happened. I am the biggest "conspiracy nut" out there. I believe in UFO's, I believe the Illuminati and REX-84 are true, I believe hands down that Kennedy was not killed by Oswald. But this? Really? I just participated in a drill simulating what would happen if a tornado hits a hospital. They loaded about 50 of us into a pair of these MCI buses at one hospital (including a fun trip down a stair well in a high tech wheel chair) and getting checked into another hospital.

As an EMT I can tell you in the case of a true distaster or another Terror attack these vehicles will be invaluable for transporting wounded victims. An average ambulance can transport 1 critical patient or two lower accuity patient. If you have hundreds of patients a vehicle that can transport and mantain 20-24 patients efficently is very useful. Think about the draw on a community to have to find 20 + Ambulances. 09/11/01 for example, these buses would be invaluable an incident of that size.
