Starland Vocal Band basically became famous because their friend and owner of their label Windstar Records,John Denver,who was huge at the time,had them on his tv specials.Taffy Nivert & Bill Danoff,members of SVB,co-wrote Take Me Home,Country Roads with Denver,which was his first No. 1 hit.So he sort of returned the favour by having them on his tv shows.Ironically,Denver only ever won a Grammy-postumously-for his chidren's album.
