  • Best version of this song, hands down!!! Can't listen to another version now without wanting it to sound like this.

  • Beautiful song Marsh...

  • Neither Marshall or Guy were kicked out of GVB, nor is there any bad blood between anyone. Marshall felt called to lead worship at a church in Arizona and Guy wanted to pursue his own career. They will be missed greatly, and I wish the new GVB all the best blessings.

  • @IIloveMarshallHall. I understand what you mean! Marsh and Guy sang with all their hearts yet didn't need to go to extremes or strain their voices or get gimicky to sound powerful. Their natural voices in their own power and beauty thrilled without effort. Marsh and Guy didn't lose notes or words. I wish those two man of God richest blessings. Of course I wish the new GVB well, too.

  • I literally listen to this song everyday I get into my car. It blesses me every time.

  • seems like....3 people who watched this video...dont have speakers.... ;-)

  • Marsh has such a wonderful voice and I just thank God he shared it with us all. I will truly miss him with GVB but pray him all the best in his new gig as Worship Leader...

  • Simply amazing! I've heard some wonderful renditions of this song, and this one really comes from the spirit! Thank you Jesus!!!

  • You dislike this video. Thanks for the feedback!

  • his singing gives goosebumps.

  • lyrics pls? gbu :D

  • i know what u mean i miss mashall hall so bad his voice just blesses me some people just dont get it

  • To those who "don't know what Bill is thinking" I would guess he's thinking " Well we love these guys but if they feel God's calling them into new pastures we need to have the grace and the good sense to let them go with our blessing". Who knows, in the future they may return as David, Mark and Michael all have. Those 3 are all outstanding in their own right and I for one will continue to enjoy and be blessed by GVB whoever is in it.

  • aleluya gopel voices

  • wow soo soo soo gopel...

  • awsome marshall! keep up...

  • i love this song!

  • I first heard this song on Dr. Charles Stanley's show In Touch. I just had to hear it again. I listened to others here on You Tube sing it and the lyrics are the same but I just knew it sounded different, then I found your rendition and oh, how beautiful! Thank you, your voice is amazing! I could listen to you sing this song all night and day. Rhonda

  • WoW... I never heard anyone sing this besides Michael English. Marsh nails this one. Such a shame that Guy, Marsh and Wes aren't singing together anymore.

  • THis song has been a blessing to our church,my pastor's favorite song.Everytime there is an affair in our,he'll surely sing this song and i do the harmony.

  • does anyone know who sings Daystar on the "Best of Gaither Vocal Band" cd? I don't recognize the voice

  • I loved Marsh in the GVB. He has a really understated quality in his voice.

  • I got mine on amazon

  • Wonderful! Love Marshall Hall!

  • Awesome is the word. Both musically and spiritually beautiful as a song, and of the three or four renditions I've listened to on this page, I think Hall's is the best. Thank you for posting it. (The people at Gaither Music sent me the link because I heard it on their radio program some weeks back and e-mailed them for specifics.)

Do you, BTW, have anything by Alison Durham? Especially "When You Walk Through The Waters..."?

  • Very beautiful.....

  • This song is truly amazing...His voice makes the song poignantly beautiful.God bless him

  • I love this song....awesome!!!!

  • Marshall can bring it......almost as good as Michael English.....

  • marshall hall is the BOMB!!!! ahhhh!

  • Marshall Hall i love your singing will miss you on Gaithers but will surely buy your cds,,,,,Your the best and best of luck.....

  • God works in mysterious ways! Had the privilege of hearing Wes Hampton and Marshall Hall in Venice FL on Sept 27, 2009. It was awesome, which doesn't even come close to really describing it. God was truly in the place and you could feel His spirit in Wes/Marsh' worship. Marshall is in Mt Park Community Church in Phoenix AZ leading worship. Visit him if you ever go to Phoenix.

  • Amazing voice. He is such a blessing. What's the name of this CD? Where can I buy it?

  • Amazingly moving. Gives one cold chills. I love Marshall and anyone who has ever been a part of GVB

  • Amazing voice and tone...God bless you..where can i buy this cd? pls let me know..

  • I got this CD at the Gaither Homecoming Back in Decmeber.. The last night Marshall was with the Vocal Band. But I beleive the Christian Bookstore sales them.

    Chelsea

  • did you know at the concert that it was Marsh's last concert? I truly miss him and have to trust that God is taking care of him and his family

  • @biangkisen ... if you haven't found it yet, the name of the CD is "BOUNDLESS" and it's a Marshall Hall CD, not Gaither related. Gaither.com has the CD available as well as being available through Amazon.com. Possibly the Christian Bookstores have it also. Hope you find it.

  • @biangkisen ... the title of the CD is "BOUNDLESS" by Marshall Hall ... not Gaither related. It's available on gaither.com, amazon.com and probably through the Christian Book Stores. Hope this helps.

    Pat

  • @biangkisen The title to this "solo" CD is titled "BOUNDLESS" by Marshall Hall. I don't know who is doing the backup but think Guy Penrod may be part of it. The CD is for purchase through gaither.com, amazon.com and probably Christian Book Stores. Hope this helps.

  • The Best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Marshall Hall is one of my favorite from the Gaither vocal band why did he leave????????????

  • amaizing song......!!!amaizing voice,,,GOD BLEASE YOU MARSHALL

  • Hi!

I'm a great Marsh Hall fan, I miss him dearly and did buy the CD this song is from: Sorry, folks, but I think, this is Guy Penrod singing on Marsh's CD, isn't it? I don't mind, I'm a great Guy Penrod fan also, and LOVED the old GVB!

  • I think I hear Wes Hampton singing a harmony on this.

  • It's Guy Penrod on bgvs. He sang both parts.

  • OMG!!!!! Marshall Hall has a wonderful voice. I have been a fan of his and EHSS for like ever! I wish him the best in his future. GVB lost one of it's brightest stars. And the hottest one too. LOL. Anyway good luck Marsh!!!!!!

  • I Love His Voice!

  • Very nice song. Can I have the music of this song please? I want to sing this song in one of my Church services.

  • i heard a birdie whisper. Marshall will have a cd out soon. just watch this space..

  • show de bola!!! Deus seja louvado, maravilhosa interpretação,Marshal hall vc é o cara, canta muito... Parabéns

  • thank you for sharing this.. I love Marshalls voice so very much.. how sad for us that he is leaving the group... so? we'wont be able to enjoy him anymore???? Oh no!! that cant be... I pray he will at least cut some cd's so that we can enjoy his God given voice!!! (where is his hometown)??? I wish Him Well.. but especially God's rich blessings on him and his family!!!

  • i think he is a worship leader in a church in Arizona

  • He is at Mt Park Community Church in Phoenix AZ. Just saw him in concert with Wes Hampton in Venice FL Sunday Sept 27, 2009. Awesome! He sang this with Wes as backup and played the piano as he sang. Truly a blessing!

  • if you have his song Walk Away can you post it pliz??..:D

    his songs are awesome...:)

  • I'm sorry, I dont have that song. :) I

  • 'This song is amazing.. and Marshall is a GREAT singer!

    Thanks for posting.

  • I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who thought the combination of GVB with Wes, Guy, Marsh and Bill was the best ever. I too can't listen to the new combination -- I just miss Guy and Marsh too much. They helped me remember that faith isn't all pipe organs and minor chords, but there is fun too. Its just not the same without them.

  • Gotta love Marshall Hall's heart and voice, he sings with a lot of soul.. With that said, I still think the best version of this song was done by Michael English on the 1989... very powerful!

(see "Gaither Vocal Band 1989 - DayStar")

Although I am a big fan of Michael Mark and David, I do agree with the other comments here, that the GVB was very special with Guy and Marshall.

I do hope to hear them singing & worshiping again

  • wouldn't be awesome if Guy, Marshall and someone with the same heart of woship formed their own group.. don't know about u but i'd buy a cd from them before I bought a cd from Bill, Michael , David, mark and Wes.. much as I love them too... thanks for posting this.. I love Marhall's heart for the lord, he and Guy brought a presence of worship that I will miss a lot in the Homecoming videos..

  • Me, too!

  • stunning!!! so so stunning...!!!

  • He is my favorite baritone. Seriously, why did he leave the vocal band? He completed it.

Anyway, keep singing, and may God bless you!!!

  • It was a mistake of Bill Gaither to let Marsh (& Guy Penrod as well )go. He is not only a great baritone, he has heart. If you understand. He is one of the nicest man I know. I don´t have a clue why Bill Gaither changed in this direction. It was NOT a good decision.

Marsh if you should ever read our comments - Please go on singing for us !!!! We love you dearly !!! <3<3<3

  • I agree with you. Don't know what Bill is thinking but Marsh and Guy were definitely great. I know the other members are great singers but it will never be the same for me. In fact, I am sorry but I am not listening to any of their new songs as I am still too upset. I wish Marsh and Guy the very best. I am sure God will continue to bless them.

  • I am glad to hear from you, really. Thought already that it is just me that is so upset.(Send you a hug)

And than there is rumors which don´t let me calm down. Wonder what is really true ???

Like you I don´t want to listen to the new GVB at

the moment. though I know David, Mark and Michael are great singers too.

  • I am glad to read your answer. What rumors are there? I would honestly like to know the true reasons for the change. I am looking forward to hearing Marsh sing again, either by himself or in a group.

  • No, you're not the only one upset by the leaving of Guy & Marsh. Just when this configuration of singers get going really well, they up & leave [best group ever in my opinion]. Guy should get some well needed 'peace' as he has worked his b _ _ _ off for GVB for 14 + yrs & the Gaither org will benefit for decades from this. Don't have a clue why Marsh left, he is a great baritone & spirit. Love & miss both of them. Any 'true' facts about their leaving?

  • Unfortunately only that wat we all can read on Southern Gospel Blog etc. :-(

  • according to the gaither website, Marshall is leaving to return to his "first" love, by leading worship in his home town. Guy is pursuing a solo career, which I believe has been weighing heavy on his heart for awhile, he will definitely go far in that career. I will definitely be looking forward to their future endeavors in the future :) Probably two of my favorites from GVB, they'll be missed

  • I also miss them! Dearly!!!

  • It has nothing to do with what Bill was thinking. Guy although He is one of my favorite singers asked to leave to follow his heart and God in other projects. I dont know about Marsh but I'm sure we have not herd the last of this wonderful singer

  • Chelsea, do you have an idea if there exists a HP of Marsh ???

  • cannot believe he has left the vocal band!!!!! does anyone know y?

  • Whoa. This young man has come a long way. Awesome.
