ahhh IMAN! i totally agrree about your theory on how you like end of the world movies where you can fix the problem! i dont know why but i love them too:) like some kind of deathly air virus that kills the world! hahaha liiike the happening for example :) I love them!
I love horror and thriller but i can't watch them because my boyfriend hates things like that, aswell as rollercoasters! I liked cloverfield, but would never watch it again because when i did, about half-way into the movie i had a fit.
I like movies like that...Armageddon, Deep Impact, 28 Days/Weeks Later. What freaks me out are the Discovery Channel shows about the end of the universe...deep empty feeling in the pit of my stomach, and I just can't handle em unless I'm in the right state of mind.
I like Cloverfield! J.J. Abrams is my favorite director! he's amazing. I saw the premier of Cloverfield :) I love those type of movies too. I think it's interesting to think about. Plus, I like to think about what i would do in that type of situation. People's true nature come out in those types of situations. it's very interesting... if you're weird for liking these types of movies than so am i!
hmn...i love scary movies and like texas chainsaw and stuff like that freaks me out but when movies are based on something real or could be real i usually look it up eddie gien=texas chain (at least i think thats what it was) and i have a better understanding of the movies but then theyre not so much as scary but just...AH makes me shudder...lol
I love those kinds of movies probably one of my favourite genres. I have never been scared of movies like Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elmstreet but when I see movies like Cloverfield, or even Independance Day, I get a little creeped out
have u seen the movie where machines have come from mars and they plan to kill every living life form its scary when u think that it could actually happen it was read on the radio live and people were going crazy and they fled from the city's because they actually thought it was happening!
a movie that will keep u interested from beginning to end is The Last House On The Left... If you cant get it at your video store mail me for the link, I have a cinema quality copy.
i liked cloverfield alot. i thought it was awesome how they put in all one camera like that. not too many cuts and stuff its like it was a one run through which i thought was cool.
i think horror films are awesome just cus of the thrill and you not knowing whats goona happen next. i also like stuff about like the apocolypse and armegedon because its always interested me kinda like that one movie were this kid is like a master hacker and hacks like the US government and then plays a game and its actually a goverment missle launch thing and he decides to be the russians and shoots a fake missle and the governmet is all worried and they dont know if its real or not. idk name
a movie that freaked me out was quatine because i thought that like what if that happened to me? or sumthing and then everyones like quartine is crap and all this bulshit and im like wtf it scared me LOL
cloverfield made me laugh in some parts lol but yea i love horror movies especially the ones that could actually happen those are the ones that scare me more! lol
i dreamed through 2000 years passing by showing world disputes and the world finally ending all in one dream. and i was floating next to God in space.. wi3rd
Cloverfield is a hard movie to watch. I mean the horror and everything is awesome but the camera work is hard. I would love to watch it again after taking a few tylenol first.LOL But I liked it. I'm a total horro/thriller buff also.
I love movies like that. Horror/thriller that make me think. Yea I like the blood/guts of horror movies and stuff, but I also like to pay attention and get into the movie and figure it out for myself without that other person always asking, "What does that mean??" And me responding," I don't know! I'm watchin the movie just like you! Hush!" lol
ME TOO! I don't like the normal horror films, but the thrillers and science related horror movies intrigue me. I guess I'll have to go out and rent Cloverfield!
Ive been waiting for you guys to spoof Kendra! and Iman, screw that!!!!!!!!!!! those are the movies I cannot watch (the ones that can actually happen) CRAZY THINGS GO THROUGH YOUR MIND LATE AT NIGHT WHEN YOU LIVE ALONE!!!
Horror/thriller movies that are based on true stories, or things that could actually happen, terrify me way too much to watch. I have yet to see Texas Chainsaw Massacre or any other true-story-based movies. But, on the other hand, they ARE intriguing.
Texas Chainsaw was inspired by a true story not based on a true story. There was know leather face. There was Ed Gien who they used pieces of his life and did their own spin on it just like Silence of the Lambs and Psycho. All( inspired) by the same guy.
Cloverfield was dope, but I get motion sickness easy and I got a headache after. I'm drawn to movies like that too, more so natural disasters or plagues than giant aliens though.
And I can't wait for the Kendra spoof, you guys will fit it so well lol.
No worries about the dreams, Iman. It's just your Infinite aspect of Self tuning into parallel realities - observing those particular versions of Earth.....Lots available to Google on the topic of alternate/parallell realities, worlds, selves/dimensions...Even if it's not true it makes for some very fun & interesting reading~
i think its more like Jason, Michael Myers, etc are more like serial killers which we have experienced in our lifetime and it all can very well happen to us BUT the other type of movies like you explained Cloverfield, these types are the UKNOWN things that could be possible but we jut dont know!!! the unknown is what makes it the scariest.
"light skinned tall Black guy" ... LOL ... is that a tall White guy who's "so Getto" ?
Just watched the "MJ flash Mob" Tribute by Bucharest (Romania) ... they ended with a 'jump up' to Black & White ... colour so doesn't matter so lets not see it (:-)
You guys are crazy. I don't care for horror and all that violent crap but I did watch Harper's Island for the mystery. I like thrillers that intrigue me. A movie I won't watch for anyone is the Final Destination franchise.
Iman, I dont have those sorts of dreams. . . but I have Zombie and Velociraptor proofed my house. . . anyway enough about my paranoia, if you wanna know more just ask lol. BUT, i Challenge YOU Iman to play Spore. . . Its lulz. You would have to get the expansion pack too, as that is epic lol. Anyway, I love you guys, really enjoy your movies, and cant wait for the next one :)
did you hear they are remaking "nightmare on elm street" and robert englund won't be freddy? its going to be the dude that played rorschach in "the watchmen". what do you think of that?
instead of blood and gore i like things that can keep me guessing. i can very easily figure out who a killer is in a movie [my friends hate watching movies w/me for that reason]. the one movie that i REALLY enjoyed because it had me all over the place was The Uninvited, you might enjoy it Alphacat! =] but i doubt Lisa would like it, it has mild violence in the end and i remember she said she didnt like movies like that. but that movie was completely awesome and unexpected, even though i was close
I dont like horrors as much, but i do like those movies such as cloverfield where the world is ending and stuff, but i dont like horrors, they just kinda mess with my head, but movies like cloverfield i can dig! :)
i looov ethe movie clover feild... i think it is kinda like ummm.. you know that old movie where the dinosaur take over....lol i don't remeber what it's called..
Iman, I think you & I are close to the same age (30s), so we came up during the 80s when tensions during the Cold War seemed highest. I think a lot our age had those dreams. I was terrified of nuclear war & I'd break a sweat every weekend the raid sirens tested in my area. Low-flying planes frightened me, chem trails scared me--I always thought it was a nuclear attack. You probably remember the ABC movie "The Day After", which scared me so bad I couldn't sleep for weeks. It's generational.
a Movie that i could see happening.. is Knowing.. not all the stuff about the messengers and snap.. but i mean like what the disasters with global warming.
You should watch, the haunting in conneticut. The wife and I watched it last night and it was pretty freaky. Also we love watchin your channels, Keep up the good work.
I still stand by my suggestion that you should watch "Run, Fatboy, Run". It's a good movie. :) funny but it's also got romance in there too :) the ending bit is funniest when he's running a race...just saying.
I usually spend my Sunday's sleeping all day too, so you're not the only ones :) I'm not really into horror movies, not cause they're scary, but to me they just seem kind of stupid. I do think apocolyptic sort of stuff is really interesting though!
lol yea that happens to me too :P by the way, when yu were describing the dream when yu were younger, it reminded me of a book that i read called "Z for Zachariah". but russia wasnt involved lol. but i think u should read it, sounds like ur type of book =P
The first time I saw Iman and stuff and my sis showed me your pretty girlfriend I swear I tot he was dating Kendra. but then she sing, I was like Nah... Kendra is Not that Talented. They should say She look like you, Not the opposite. CUZ Lavie is the true star.
iRobot was my "cloverfield" it scares the crap out of me, because we already have robots that can do this stuff, and designers are giving them the capabilities to "adapt"... that freaks me out.
to be honest, in my opinion cloverfield was horrible... not scary... most boring 2hr straight moving camera which kinda made me sick... and not really much of story developed. But the stuff good about it .. was the graphics thats all... no horrors what so ever... well thriller kinda I guess... but yea.. until the end, I still don't know what the heck was that monster is..
I like movies like that. I'm not sure how much of it would really come true though. They don't scare me I just like them for the entertainment. Cloverfield however I thought was bad. Blair Witch camera fail.
After seeing 'knowing' I got curious bout tha movie 2012 comin out so I did research on it.. sum scary prophecies claiming something horrific is gonna happen on December 12, 2012.. alota ancient calenders predicted this common date... so Im kinda worried about wats gonna happen to our civilization. I wonder how many ppl r aware of this prophetic event cuz not many talk about it. No1 noes wat will actually happen but its good to be aware & hope that tha prophecies dont come true!!!
after seeing tha previews of 2012... Id rather not watch that movie.. its looks soo horrible & scary. Like how can they make a movie about/showing tha end of tha world?! how can they create that horrific image for ppl to watch?!?! =/
Oh yes I had those dreams where the world was going to end & etc. Not a pretty image to see - & I love movies that have to deal with involving the Earth. Oh watch the previews of 2012 :x can't wait to see that moviiiee!!!! There is other movie also I think you would like to see..but forgot the name - so I get back to you on that lmao :)
I feel sorry for you two (Iman and Lisa.) CLOVERFIELD sucks!! lol
As for your question, yes, I am drawn to movies like that. Those are the ones that actually frighten me more than anything...those horrible things that -could- happen.
pt3: but as a grown man my favorite movies are romantic comedies...particularly the ones in a new york setting, sort of around winter time. if you haven't seen 'ps i love you' check dat ho out. nice...also 'must love dogs' cause ya'll be renting some crazy movies. lol. or try 'hot rod' crazy 'white boy' funny movie...super kicks.
pt2: out of the box dreams is always what i'd have. freddy and jason has been invading my dreams for years. moreso freddy. also superman. i had a dream i was able to fly really fast and high like when superman saw lois dead and spinned around the world...i had that power but jason was hot on my trail and i couldn't shake him. i was almost like silver surfer and jason was johnny flame(?), i'd always just wake up. the other day i was in a car about to crash into an 18 wheeler and i just woke myslf
to be honest i actually used to freak out and just think freddy was gonna pop out. in my 'freakout thingy' video it was like a real feeling i'd get, guess paranoia. cause i think about stuff so hard to where i'm delusional. when kiya and i moved in our 1st 2 bedroom apt i was about to go in the room and i looked down the hallway and it freaked me out. i actually left the light on in the living room...weird. oh yeah, 'deep impact' had that comet scene in my head for years,
movies that scares me aren't those that shows what could happen, but movies that shows what has happened... I'm talking about movies like "hotel rwanda", "amistad" and specifically "johnny mad dog". that's a movie you have to see! about child soldiers by an entire cast that are former child soldiers... a very powerful movie!
hell no movies like that do NOT catch my eye at all. i actrolly dont even like c'in like no commercals or anything for that matter about movies like that. i start thinkin its really going to happen and scareing myself.
i lovee movies like that. im a complete movie junkie, and the type that could actually happen are the best, like cloverfield, inderpendance day, knowing etc. they make you think omg, this actaully could happen and what would the world leaders do if it happened. love you guys, go to sleeep! x
Lisa looked alot like Kenda in the video where she is singing Angel in the studio but i don't really thinks she looks much like her anymore! looking forward to the spoof though :)
I don't watch Kendra much but I think you guys are already like a spoof of them.
To answer Your question: I like Horror/Thrillers That could actually happen because they force you to think about what you would do in such situations. They're kinda like a metaphorical stare into the abyss. I saw Orphan recently and I got that feeling from watching it.
Congrats to Lisa on the 82,000 subs!!!!!! good luck to both of you on all your projects. I'm really looking forward to them
Artie = Brandon Hardesty does great reenactments, Bart Got a Room is an amazingly funny indie, he had kind of a small role but it's great. Hope you enjoyed it I just checked it out the other night and William H. Macy is funny as hell. Can't wait for the Kendra skit, know that will be funny as hell. Iman come on, who doesn't know about Cocoon lol and as for Cloverfield the camera work kind of made me sick but other than that it was great. Love horror movies by the way. Anyways, have a good one.
YES And yes

I usually spend my Sunday's sleeping all day too, so you're not the only ones :) I'm not really into horror movies, not cause they're scary, but to me they just seem kind of stupid. I do think apocolyptic sort of stuff is really interesting though!

The first time I saw Iman and stuff and my sis showed me your pretty girlfriend I swear I tot he was dating Kendra. but then she sing, I was like Nah... Kendra is Not that Talented. They should say She look like you, Not the opposite. CUZ Lavie is the true star.

iRobot was my "cloverfield" it scares the crap out of me, because we already have robots that can do this stuff, and designers are giving them the capabilities to "adapt"... that freaks me out.
playkillermuseplay 2 years ago
to be honest, in my opinion cloverfield was horrible... not scary... most boring 2hr straight moving camera which kinda made me sick... and not really much of story developed.

"Cocoon" was cosmic!
We just happened to catch the last 30 minutes of Cocoon 2.
Prophets are looked on as weirdos.
Example: Karnak the Magnificent.
Well maybe not.
Congrats on the 82K and the Dayton Daily News article!

pt3: but as a grown man my favorite movies are romantic comedies...particularly the ones in a new york setting, sort of around winter time. if you haven't seen 'ps i love you' check dat ho out. nice...also 'must love dogs' cause ya'll be renting some crazy movies. lol. or try 'hot rod' crazy 'white boy' funny movie...super kicks.
dejuanptv 2 years ago
pt2: out of the box dreams is always what i'd have. freddy and jason has been invading my dreams for years. moreso freddy. also superman. i had a dream i was able to fly really fast and high like when superman saw lois dead and spinned around the world...i had that power but jason was hot on my trail and i couldn't shake him. i was almost like silver surfer and jason was johnny flame(?), i'd always just wake up. the other day i was in a car about to crash into an 18 wheeler and i just woke myslf
dejuanptv 2 years ago
to be honest i actually used to freak out and just think freddy was gonna pop out. in my 'freakout thingy' video it was like a real feeling i'd get, guess paranoia. cause i think about stuff so hard to where i'm delusional. when kiya and i moved in our 1st 2 bedroom apt i was about to go in the room and i looked down the hallway and it freaked me out. i actually left the light on in the living room...weird. oh yeah, 'deep impact' had that comet scene in my head for years,

movies that scares me aren't those that shows what could happen, but movies that shows what has happened... I'm talking about movies like "hotel rwanda", "amistad" and specifically "johnny mad dog". that's a movie you have to see! about child soldiers by an entire cast that are former child soldiers... a very powerful movie!
