You can say what they want but until you own a horse or have been around them you have no idea how they really are. Their not just some dumb animal. They do have feelings and personalities. They are no different then people. They love, understand and care. Most of the horses I own were rescues and somehow they knew they were and they appreciate it. They dont judge you, they just want to be loved and respected. They are there for you when you need them to be and they can always make you smile!!!

as a man who slaughters horses I have this to say, there is nothing wrong with running a slaughter house, everyday I slaughter horses, cows,chickens, turkeys, pigs, and lambs, it is the best way I know how to support my family and I get free meat because I slaughter my animals for my own food as well

How else would anybody have seen this had they not spent the money and energy getting an employee inside a one of the places with an miniature camera. IN my years I had seen mahy things as to animals, cows, pigs, rabits, chickens, etc. are put to death for our food. not everyone in this world live on what we grow in our gardens. Here in the U.S.A there are no slaughter houses for horses, now if a horse that is dangerous to keep you have to pay to have put down, or if a horse becomes lame you have to pay to have that animal put down, these things have destroyed most of the horse market in the U. S. A. people have horses that they care for.

Ferdinand and other great race horses were sold to people in Japan to be studs (that means to breed) and no one knew that the Japeness would slaughter them when they couldn't breed. It was a terrible mistake and tragidy but it doesn't happen any more. Now when a horse is sold to Japan the new owners must sign a contract that the horse will not be sent to slaughter.

Actually if a racehorse is caught a sale where killer buyers are the owner AND trainers get in trouble by The Jockey Club. So, just because a few horses were sent to Japan and slaughtered doesn't mean that all racehorses go there to "retire".

Here in the U.S.A there are no slaughter houses for horses, now if a horse that is dangerous to keep you have to pay to have put down, or if a horse becomes lame you have to pay to have that animal put down, these things have destroyed most of the horse market in the U. PETA do you try to be as uneducated as possible? Ferdinand and other great race horses were sold to people in Japan to be studs (that means to breed) and no one knew that the Japeness would slaughter them when they couldn't breed. It was a terrible mistake and tragidy but it doesn't happen any more. Now when a horse is sold to Japan the new owners must sign a contract that the horse will not be sent to slaughter.

Actually if a racehorse is caught a sale where killer buyers are the owner AND trainers get in trouble by The Jockey Club. So, just because a few horses were sent to Japan and slaughtered doesn't mean that all racehorses go there to "retire".

This is so horrible, greedy filthy people that know nothing about horses and kill them for money and their disguesting appetite and their dogs. God had its way of only killing an animal with a split hoof like a cow or sheep. This is wrong, animals WILL go instinct one day and it's so selfish for us people to only bring them onto this earth just to breed torture kill then eat. This campaign just makes 0.0001% of meat eaters to stop eating and causes 100% vegetarians to scream and shout. This is just shouting in the wind, the meat companies are to big for you to fathom. @xxxcutehunnixxx I agree with everything you've said, but the TB would be under threat if the racing industry diminished. Do we wipe out racing or leave a minority need for the beautiful and iconic TB? I'm not arguing, just asking your view when it comes to the billions each year being withdrawn from promoting and breeding superb TBs each year if racing was drawn to a halt....no pun intended.
