  • great clip keep it up =)

  • @Exgangmember

you do know that chinzo was probably at least a purple belt in jiu jitsu when he fought this fight right?

  • cant just jump into mma with karate just becuase lyoto machida did.... you need to be a complete mma fighter with skills in all areas, you can tell he had big troble on the ground game " wrestling and JJ " hes alot better now though.

  • @Exgangmember Lyoto started training for MMA when he was 17.

  • @Exgangmember no he didnt stupid ass

  • @phenomenom20 machidas brother has trouble on the ground dumb fucking bitch. I know alot more then your sutpid ass. I train mma, i dont just watch the shit like your nerdy ass.

  • @Exgangmember oooooh yeah and you're the the amateur in training telling what a pro has trouble with get the fuck out. Bitch you don't train in shit I train at Dave Strasser's freestyle academy I'd school you if we rolled ex gang member my ass the only gangbanging you did was in a gay porn, get the fuck out of here.

  • @Exgangmember stfu punk bitch, u dunno shit, ur not a mma fighter, so wut da fuck u no bout dis type of fights these guys are pro, ur a bitch

  • jiu jitsu né irmao nao dava pro carateca nao

  • 4:21 From BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILL

    carimbo Machida

  • machida wud have won

  • I should mention the guillotine choke is one of the most practical chokes and is in Karate and TKD originally as well as instinctive fighting like boxing and wrestling at their core. As good as Chinzo is, this is a sport fight and the best counters to the gullotine if available are not allowed=groin kick and grab, bitting if not locked in, eye gouging, more groin attacks, etc....

  • 4:21 You can see foot imprints on the leg of Choco from machida kicking him there

  • this was a good fight...typical grappler vs striker match where either guy could of won once they took it to there area (ground or stand up)...shinzo could of won this if he stuffed those takedowns and kept it standing

  • yea machida lost but if it would have been a stand up fight it was goin machidas way fast

  • Choco is lucky , they fight in a ring , if this fight is in the bar, I don't know

  • Good, just a submission loss. I can live with that. I'm also glad to see that Chinzo is more aggressive than his brother.

  • He is Lyoto`s brother... Just shut up and stop stupid comments. '-'

  • Shinzo !!

    grat fighter!

    poucos tem essa velocidade!

    poucos!

Shinzo no UFC!!! rolava

  • he certainly is not his brother

  • his brother just has a better ground game, chinzo has not had the time to train in bjj. chinzo is a great standup fighter, very agressive, he just needs to work on his ground game

  • Well it's not just his BJJ. Loyoto isn't so effective at avoiding and recovering from takedowns because of his BJJ. It's because of his wrestling (sumo to be exact). It's so effective we rarely see his BJJ... unless he's trying to get out of some freak submission attempt by Tito Ortiz. Too bad Lyoto lost to Rua this last weekend.

  • @haygoodfly interesting about the Sumo - commentators rarely credit it. But makes good sense.

  • Chinzo should have let him stand up when he was just lying there.

  • he has brought shame to his name lmao. his brother should be pissed

  • if that fight has no rules I think Machida wons.

  • I agree. Brian kept just lying down, that's bullshit. In a street fight he wouldn't do that or he'd get kicked in the head.

  • This Choco guy looks like he out weighs Chinzo by 20-25lbs. Is Jungle fight open weight class?

  • If it weren't for all these damn rulers favoring the grappler Shinzo Would of murdered this guy, i mean look these grappler was helpless but with the rules and time limits,Shinzo couldnt do the damage!

  • shuriken is a fucking dumbass..

  • no one needs your opinion, and yes im right. nowadays in mma youhave to be well rounded.

  • Shinzo has some amazing stand up if he just learned some ground game i think he would whoop some ass

  • o rafiq dominou toda a luta. O synzo não conseguiu fazer quase nada.

  • Lyoto has much better wrestling and jiu jitsu

  • i notcie that the strikers these days in MMA last longer than the strikers in the older MMA, i guess being well rounded really can beat jiu itsu??

  • I think its because now the training leading up to a fight is scientific now... where as before it was sort of guess work. There are less surprises now

  • Learning how to defend takedowns and the basic principles of ground fighting help a lot as well. In the first UFCs Royce Gracie used the exact same move to take everyone down. Nowadays it`s a much more difficult job.

The thing is, if you go to a MMA fight knowing only one MA, you have a big chance of losing...

  • yea unfortunately he isnt as well rounded as his brother. but he was winning in striking ill give that too him.

  • I hate to see one of Lyoto's brothers lose, but this was still a good fight. You can tell that Machida had done the most damage to the jiu jitsu fighter after it was all over.

  • if chinzo wouldve trained in sumo wrestling like lyoto then he wouldve won this fight. lyoto's ground game is way better than chinzo's

  • hahaha fraces? japones?

  • asian and half asian fighters are always good....like BJ Penn also

  • bebeo duarte is a great master of brazilian jiujitsu!

  • This whole setup is for the advantage of grapplers.

  • puts

se o chinzo e marron de bjj

    eu sou preta

pq ele e muito fraco no chao,o cara q e azul deitou e rolou nele

    sorry

but if the Chinzo is brow belt of de Brazilian Jiu Jitsu,i'm black belt

The man did is blue belt and the "derrotou" easy easy

  • No, lyoto is shinzo's brother. Lyoto is the younger

  • shinzo is lyoto's father yes?

  • brother :)

  • yea i knew that sorry. i had a brain fart that day

  • Rafiq's good at BJJ but his standup sucks. And what the hell was that - just lying on the floor waiting for the opponent! That's LAME.

  • I heard that Chinzo's first fight before Rafiq was really awesome. I wish that was posted.

  • yeah i saw it some where on a website, but its not there anymore.

  • Machida had that fight until the choke.

  • Jordan Breen sent me

  • Also watch chinzo first fight (this is his 2nd fight) he goes up against muy thai guy, If watch the match you will see a big difference between the muy thai and the karate fighter, chinzo whupps his ass with like just two straights and bunch of other punches.

  • hey, man, where do we find chinzo's first fight?

  • lyoto DOES use shotokan in his fighting. He does switch up from time to time but he does use it. He even used one of his leg sweeps on bonner. He gets into a deeper stance and throws more straight punches, so saying lyoto doesnt use shotokan or that his karate doesnt have influcence is complete full of shit. Also Sorry but I dont see much muy thai in lyoto machida's fighting. Maybe some clinching and some leg kicks

  • insn't shinzo...................is Chinzo

  • If he's like Lyoto, he doesn't train Muay Thai. His training schedule consists of boxing, jiu-jitsu, karate, yoga, sparring and weight training. You can check Lyoto's profile on the ufc website for details.

  • say that to lyoto machida and then get punched in the face

  • that's so not true Rato. You only say that because you haven't seen much karate/tkd guys in MMA. Karate is the mother of Martial Arts.

Georges St. Pierre is a Tae-Kwon-Do fighter. Lyoto Machida is a Shotokan Karate fighter. See, it IS helpful in MMA. UFC needs to trade some of it's wrestlers in exchange for some TKD karate guys from K-1

  • Hey man i know machida, he is brazilian like me. He is a shotokan fighter but now he is training muay thai and BJJ. If he uses his shotokan skills in a mma fight, the fight will be shit and probably he will loose. I´m a green belt of Uechi-ryu and brown belt of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu I know what i´n talking about. That´s my opinion.

  • nah, his traning schedule consists mostly karate, like 3/4. and his standing technique is mostly really JKA Shotokan style, though i c he uses kick boxing technique sometimes.

you see how he takes distance? and how he punches and kicks? that' JKA karate.

maybe it's cuz you are still green belt, u noe nothing about karate

  • No, you really don't know what you're talking about. Please show me one fighter in MMA that doesn't crosstrain. Last time I checked it was called -Mixed- Martial Arts not style vs. style. Karate is his base art, and it's extremely apparent in the way he fights, but he would be an idiot to not crosstrain when that's the entire point of the sport, to be as well-rounded as possible.

  • Well, Shinzo doesn't cross-train and that's why he lost this particular fight. But he won his first fight against a Muay Thai guy via KO.

I think he went back to Karate after this but still his first victory was very impressive.

  • Most of Lyoto's standup is classic Shotokan. In fact the reason why he has been so effective at counter punching is because of his sen no sen training he developed in Shotokan.

  • @gweller yes their father is a Shotokan karate master... BUT they call they're style Machida karate. They say they're karate has been adapted to be more effective in MMA.

  • @sammaggard Doesn't matter what they call it, their standup technique is the same as classic Shotokan.

  • @gweller yes but there difference is not in the strikes, its in the philosophy. Machida Karate is one of the only Japanese martial arts that still teaches the principles of Bushido

  • @sammaggard You're quoting Wikipedia and that is simply not true. Any of the JKA teachers from the 1970s teach the same philosophy such as Kanazawa, Fujishima, the late Mikami and Nishiyama. The Machida brother's karate is very good but they are no where near the level of the JKA guys from the 70s. Lyoto doesn't have the power of many of the guys on the world class level even by today's standard.

  • Not really. That's karate + wrestling + Jiu Jitsu + Muay Thai and alot of other things...

  • lol its Sumo not wrestling, and he barely uses muya thai and when he doesn its usually muay thai followd by karate tech, or with karate influene.

  • lol thats why i have actualy arguments and you dont

  • Thats Shotokan Karte in action.

  • He's his brother...

  • is he related to Lyoto Machida?
