There has just been a documentary on the BBC here in UK, a local gypsy leader gave a tour of these houses. He explained most of the owners had paid for people (including women and children) to go to other counties to beg and steal for them. They would send the money back to Romania where they would use it for loan shark activity and pay for houses like this to be built. There has just been a documentary on the BBC here in UK, a local gypsy leader gave a tour of these houses. He explained most of the owners had paid for people (including women and children) to go to other counties to beg and steal for them. They would send the money back to Romania where they would use it for loan shark activity and pay for houses like this to be built. I have sympathy with the Roma but not for people like this who exploit their own people and force them into a life of crime.
