Very well done, but the nose looks as if it's drawn in profile.

This is a problem I have as well when drawing 3/4 view heads from memory. It's always difficult, without a model, to know how much of the far nostril, if any, should be visible

That's not 3/4 view though more like 2/4, there's a difference. Very nicely done though. =P

You are mistaken, it is a classically proportioned 3/4 view. A 2/4 view would be a profile. The possible views are:

4/4 (full)

3/4 (turned toward the side but seeing only one ear)

2/4 (profile)

3/4 back view (like the 3/4 front but facing away from the viewer)

my biggest problem with my drawings is that i somehow think of an image in my mind but when i put the pencil to paper it looks either somehow wrong or has a totally different effect than i wanted it have.

Talent is overrated.. just draw and you will get better. Try out some tutorials, or maybe buy a book about drawing. Also you can look out for drawing lessons in your area.

There may be some people learning how to draw faster than other ones, but they also had to learn it.

As long as you can hold a pen, you have enough talent to learn drawing. The rest is up to you!

Everybody has the potential to be a great artist. It's no different than writing, all it requires is the ability to take something in your mind and project it onto paper, and the ability to make correct proportions or know when they're wrong, at the least.

I know this guys videos probably dont make sense to most people, and they are not perfect, however, this guy is a drawing genius...the hardest part of drawing is being able to seperate your emotions from the actual science behind the mechanics that are taking place while drawing, and because art is an almost opposite of science, this becomes very difficult, very fast. Some have god given talent when it comes to this art, others like me, are, and should be grateful for masters like this.

I believe that if you can put emotion into your work, it'll ultimately turn out better. Sure, there is a science behind it, but when you can successfully incorporate both, you come up with something truly great.
