Salmon are tyipaclly ez to catch because they spawn in such numbers and are only around to spawn dont rag on this guy for uploading nice video thumbs uped.
Anybody can catch a salmon there at that lake. I live about 30 minutes from it. I pulled out some big browns and a 7 pound bass out of there. All you got to do is go near the sandy beaches along the lake with a net and just scoop them up. Really not that hard to catch. They also hit small rubber swimbaits
Glad to hear your using a rod. The kokanee in this vid were spawning & when they spawn they generally stop feeding & hit out of aggression & anger to protect their bed. I had to make a million casts for each koke until I finally pissed each one off enough to bite. In my humble opinion just because you can sight fish for them doesnt make it easy. But if you have the magic touch Id love to see you post a Fall kokanee vid. Im always open to learn & try new tactics.
Awesome Video and great editing. I'm subscribing to your vids. Check out my Koke videos as well that seem to show up on the related videos to yours. My Berryessa Kokanee Vampire vid is similar but our fish weren't as colored but just as ugly!

@TLHookUp Same thing your using. It looks like your sitting on a rock near the blue cabin which is right near the first sand beach waiting for them

Thanks! These kokes were caught in the state of CT (not NY). They can spawn in streams but the fish I caught were spawning in the lake.
