  • This video is superb but you need to put some new music with it. I know that youtube took off the music. Maybe you could find something to put on. Just a suggestion. Thanks for the beautiful vid. Will

  • I know this video is going on 4 years old but do you remember what you used to make the video as far as lighting effects....This is a top notch video and would like to spruce my videos up ! Great job, thanks for sharing !

  • Great job and well thought out! The various outside views really top it off.

  • looks great, but needs some music and to hear those big radial engines on take-off

  • Well done, where did u get the aircraft from, its stunning, great vid,

  • @gosst60 That Particular Aircraft the Lockheed Constellation is Available from the Web Site, called JustFlight - dot - Com go check it out , I bought the Boxed Version. Also if you like 4 Engine propliners, go check out - A2ASIMULATIONS - dot Com , for the Boeing 377 Stratoliner

  • Beautiful and thanks from a former TWA pilot...

p.s. Why did they turn it off? (C)?

  • how did you walk round the aircraft??? thought this was a fsx feature only?

  • Nope, I used DBS Walk and Follow.

  • where or how did you do this please ??? is cool

  • idont like the 049 or shortnosed 1049ers .

whats really cool is an even uncrumblued 1049G wiht wingtanks its radar nose and 4 d27 turbofan engines wiht the r27 contraturning props

that would beawesome. in a brightwhite plus pearlwhite plus chrome stripes layout and a GLUED ON TISSUE flag

THAT would be a beauty that it hurts

    so 1649er of course

  • I think the 049's and 749's were the coolest.. The big round nose and the "S" curve in the fuselage. The supers didn't have as much character with the sharp pointed nose and straight fuselage.

  • i gave you a thumbs up for character - its a matter of taste.

i like em sleeek and beautiful stylish perfect sized beautiful.

wiht hte short nose its 180percent too retro for me

for me its no longer a sleeek stylish beauty but a ... stashed overround museum retro thing

like beautify sleek and style vs ... uneven bowlish freakish nostalgy

  • Your most welcomed.....don't worry about the music,, I liked the video! :)

  • Can I say as a former TWA employee how much I'm beaming?? Your video was fantastic! I hope to see more my friend.....Bravo!

  • Thankyou, I wish the music wasn't turned off from youtube!! :(

  • Very nice created you made and what about Eastern, I wanna see it like TWA!

    Also what about L-188 National?

  • I think that Finair may give me ??? Wake up and see the coast from the cockpit. Anything New?

  • Thankyou bernardff, I wish youtube didn't remove the audio.....

  • Dear manbird12000,

In the first place, I would like too tell you that I love the Lockheed Constellation. I saw it in real last week.

Your clip is amazing too. What I was wondering: is the verticale cockpit of thisdownload detailed, like the outside?

    I hope you'll respons soon.

  • Hi douwekij, thankyou. Unfortunately, the cockpit isn't as detailed as the exterior model. :(

  • Hey Manbird, best camera shots I've seen on FS9 ! You must have some high $dollar camera viewpoint software for FS9, what ever it is, it does a nice job. I have this L-049 model on FS and it can be a bit of a wallowing wing-walker on final. But it's classic looks, sounds, and effects make it worth the fuss to fly! I enjoyed the video, to bad Tube washed out you sound.

  • Yes, it sucks that they took away the sound. I'm glad you enjoyed the video, I actually used a lot of spot plane views for this one, and then I filmed from another plane as I flew next to the recoreded constellation flight, using FSrecorder.

  • Creative and entertaining angle shots. I like segment right after 3:00.

  • oops, I should have wrote 2:50 to 3:06

  • THankyou pigjamelectric. :)

  • where is the sound?

  • youtube deleted the sound because of the music copyright. :(

  • wtf? are you serious?

  • yup. Sucks.

  • terrible

  • although it is nice to look at it is a pig to fly (at least the one i have in flight sim 2004 is).

  • Thank you for the quick answer...I have many friends retired from both Lockheed and TWA and they all praised your Constellation video.

  • :) Thankyou!

  • Great video...however when I just played it the song was gone. What was the name of the song and group....beautiful music to your video. Thank you.

  • Hi jettingieff, youtube removed the song. :(, it was from the movie 'Blood Diamond'

  • my favourite plane to fly!

  • great camera movement, how did you make it looks so good

  • God ol' Sony Vegas and FS Recorder

  • whats the song name, it went great with this, especially with the landing

  • Very nice camerawork! That's FSrecorder & TrackIR, right?

  • yup! Thanks!

  • Super vid. A lot of work there. Thank you.

  • thankyou sir

  • I could watch that plane fly ALL DAY!! What an amazing aircraft...and a very graceful bird at that as well. 8-) Awesome video man and the music just topped it off!!

  • Thanks KDAY :)

  • JOB Well Done. Thank You. Connie is the Queen of the skys.

  • Thankyou!

  • dude you slammed that thing into the ground.

  • These planes were strong back then, plus it was empty, That was a good ol' Post world war landing! ;)

  • I agree! Not every landing is a greaser.

    Great movie!

  • A stunningly beautiful tribute to a stunningly beautiful plane I was completely mesmerized! A wonder to behold!

  • Thankyou!

  • I agree, not every landing is a greaser.

Great movie btw, I love it.

  • I know I have already commented, but this is one of my favorite clips on you tube. I just can't stop watching it!!! It is the most beautiful and breathtaking tribute to Connie. How did you do it? William

  • Hi William and thankyou very much. I'm glad you enjoy it. I had to fly in formation along side this plane for the majority of the shots. the ground view was just the tower view. This was a very difficult video to make because it was hard keeping up with the plane!

  • How amazingly beautiful!!! Connie is the most beautiful plane ever built!!! Wish I could get my Connies in my FSX to work and look as good. William

  • Prenádherná tvorba. Až som zaplakal..

  • vraiment superbe! on s'y croirait...et quel avion magnifique!

  • merci beaucoup armadillocontero!

  • what a amazing plane

    and an amazing irline TWA

    forever in our hearts!

  • Excellent... just Excellent!!

  • Beautiful Tribute..Great Show!

  • Thankyou john!

  • Very cool! Thanks!

  • great movie!

You truely knows how to make it look real.

    5 Stars for you

  • Reminds me of my first airplane ride, a TWA 749A. Beautiful

  • where did u get this beautiful add-on aircraft?? thks, good vid 2

  • Thanks! I got it from avsim dot com it is freeware.

  • kk, thks :)

  • Beautiful! Plane and also tribute!

  • Thank you.

  • dang every vid u made looks like a movie

  • Beautiful plane, inspiring video. I will never forget seeing these fly over my house when I was a little boy.

  • Thankyou_Pilotstevens!

  • i have tears in my eyes, very nice salut to this big lady. i guess i'll have another four prop beside my c130 and dc6b. thx!

  • THankyou!

  • Manbird: You have in 7 minutes taken me back to a kinder time as I flew on Constellations many times when I was young. Congratulations on capturing the "soul of the most beautiful propeller driven aircraft ever built."

    s2kx2

  • Thankyou s2kx2, I'm glad it meant as much to you as it did to me.

  • You have a great talent for capturing the look and feel of the moment.

  • Thankyou very much!

  • Hey manbird, by the way cool name!

Planes in particular I am interested are the 4 engined piston powered like the Lancaster which I see is at the Alphasim and B29's etc etc. Sorta bored to death with the modern jet liners. Love the classic!

  • Thanks for the direction manbird thats bloody awesome!

  • Your very welcome! Hey have you tried the Abacus's version of this aircraft? Is this FS2004? To me it doesn't look FSX although I could be wrong! What other classic prop planes have you got? I was after the Avro Lancaster but cannot find anything that is half decent with a Virtual cockpit =( Could you steer me in a better direction as to where to download and or purchase some quality aircraft?

    Many thanks in advance!

  • I highly recommend alphasim when it comes to the older vintage aircraft. They have some pretty good VC's as well. For me, it's LDS767 and PMDG all the way. For smaller aircraft, the Carenado Cessna's ad the Digital aviation Cheyenne and Dornier. I use FS9, I like FSX but it just isn't ready yet.

  • Any planes in particular you want info on? I have almost all of them, so I'd be able to give you some input to help you with your choice.

  • And the audience stands and the sound of a thunderous applause can be heard for miles! What a sensational video, the very best I have ever seen for a simulation and on youtube to boot! You have captured the very essence of this once proud and still breath taking beauty of an airliner like no one else has done before! A fitting tribute to one of the true classics and swans of the skies. Well done, even brought a tear to my eye =)

  • (smiles) Thankyou calaiscruiser!! I VERY glad you liked it!!!

  • Somehow this video got by me, and I'm so happy I caught it. When I was a kid, I used to watch Howard Hughes' babies literally thunder across the skies, shaking the windows of my home. Your video has done the aircraft proud and certainly raised my pulse a few beats. Many thanks, MB. SnakeEyes

  • Thankyou very much Snakeeyes. I sure wish I could have seen it with my own eyes like you.

  • Hi manbird,

your movie is delightful, with one of the most nicest airliner ever created.

I am a Fraps user too.

How did you succeed in achieving these spectacular views around the plane on the ground. Or in flight, like from another plane ?

Using the joystick hat and ...?

Thanks in advance for you appreciated answer. I need it !!!!

And probably plenty of others :)

  • Nice job manbird, but I was laughing when you were buzzing the airport. They would have some cops and FAA officals waiting for you at the gate. :-)

  • They sure would! notice how I landed at a different airport just to make sure I didn't get busted!

  • how you got that camera views?

  • bea-utiful

  • This is so good, how did u make it? Was it a game?Flight Simulator?

  • thankyou, it's flight simulator 2004 recorded with FRAPS.

  • Hy manbird!

Your vids are the best i have senn! Great work!!!

    Are you using fraps??

    Greetings from germany!

    -Taking care of business-

I hope you will do such things again....

  • Thankyou RU1601!! Yes, I'm using FRAPS for the recordings, I got the registered version so I don't have to record 30 second clips!!!

  • hi first time i've seen your videos wow . did you download the lockheed vatsim? once again great vid

  • Thankyou 708702! Welcome. I don't think I downloaded it? What is it?

  • MY HUGE APOLIGISE

  • sorry,,If its not BOEING,,,Im not going,,,,lol

  • WOW,, when I was a kid this plane made me think that nothing could be built better,,,I was 7,,,I watched my Grandmother leave SEATAC on her first flight to Alaska,,, what an inspirational moment. This Super Airliner, for its time was as big as the BOEING 707,747, 777 and more BOEING ,,,,,,ITS IT ANT BOEING ,I'M NOT GOING

  • hehe. Thanks! I was thinking about that, I might do one of those coming up!

  • another awesome video

how long did it took you to make this video?

anyway im looking forward to see more

  • Thankyou very much! This video took me about 7 hours to film and edit.

  • They don't make them that beautiful anymore.

Nice video. Did the flaps get stuck?

    :-)

  • THanks! I had to keep the flaps in mid possition to get some good manueverability during the low level flyby's. I am going pretty slow during that part and the los of altitude was a concern.

  • Another sensational video. 5/5 as always Manbird. Keep up the hard but great work.

  • Thankyou Valkyrie!! I appreciate it!!

  • 7min thooo i don t know :P a little bit too long maybe :P ( i had to find something to say LOL ) j/k

  • :)), believe it or not, I wanted to keep it under 5:00 but the darn music was impossible to splice any shorter...
