Yeah i used to like Metallica, in my opinion ...And Justice For All Was The Best album by far, St. Anger was the start of the downfall, kept a thrash element but was terrible and by Death Magnetic it went straight down. They have fallen into the mainstream. I mean most of the population of Britain, metalhead or not like Metallica, in my personal choice I prefer the original thrash bands =)

Lars has had a snare drum since ride the lightning, it was just tuned so it sounded like he was pounding a fucking trash can. Personally I thought Death Magnetic was great. No Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, or Black Album, but still great in its own right.

It's a cover from what I beleive is one of Metallica's favourite bands (thin lizzy). And I happen to like it very much. Obviously it's not as good as their own work but it's still far superior to what most other bands manage. They went through a bad patch in my opinion but right back on form with Death Magnetic.
