I am putting this out there now. If you are in a situation where you are being attacked by a dog, you need to defend yourself. Dogs do not have a quit mechanism and they will not stop if they get ahold of you. These people did the right thing, and if I found myself in this situation I would have shot the dog. The life of a human being is worth more than that of an animal, and so is the safety of a human. The next time this could be a child and not a grown man that this dog decides to go after.
