Which pieces of Hersh's do you refer to? The pieces I familiar with, e.g. Mordachai Vanunu, Abu Ghraib and the cover up of My Lai massacre had a vast body of documentation and are pretty openly spoken about now because of his investigative work. These were all based on hard evidence. As for anonymous sources, these are the bread and butter of journalism; leaks, tips, whistle-blowers, we wouldnt have news without them.
