I haven't saw Michigan but I like Michigan. Lansing, Alma, Flint, Kalamozo, Ann Arbor, Detroit and all Michigan are very nice. I can speak english but not well. I want to go to Michigan and learn English in Michigan Univercity in Flint. I will buy single family house and crew cabin truck :) I will go to fish with my dog and truck. This is my dream but I hope ıt will be real... I love you Michigan. Thank you from Turkey.
I visited Detroit area a couple of times for work. I just love the city, the sports, the nature and the people. I will keep Michigan forever in my heart. Greetings from Warendorf Germany! Does anyone know the name of the melody? I got to have this!
I live in Michigan, and lemme tell ya, it's absolutely AMAZING. You really entruly can't find anything else like it. Michigan is like no other state out there. If you haven't visited the UP or the Lake shore, make sure to put it on your bucket list♥ Michigan is my true home, and always will be. It's treated me well:]
Had to leave too work ..ended up in Texas...I WANT TO GO HOME ..I lived on the St. Clair river ..I miss the sound of the ships passing in the night..I miss the clean crisp Winter air..I miss the Forests and the Great Lakes..I miss hay rides and Cider Mills in the fall..I miss the joy of a Spring day after a long cold Winter
Traffic and T.V. dinners will be the least of your problems when Rio Tinto gets their Kennecott Eagle Mining operation up and running. Soon after they'll kill all the birds and you won't be able to eat the fish because of acid mine drainage with toxic heavy metals. No more birds - more insects and then it will start to S T I N K ! ! !
Wake up MICHIGAN your greedy government sold out to a British mining company that has a long reputation for destroying the planet!!!
It's like Michigan said, "Yeah...I know you moved to San Francisco. And you had good reason. But, ya know...I'm still here when ya need me." And that's good to know.
although im from cleveland, oh and hate that state up north with a passion, i must say that when i visited my buddies cabin in the upper peninsula near mackinaw, it was the most beautiful place ive ever been to in my life, the scenary was just breathtaking.
these type of things, the simple things, make me proud to say that i live in michigan, and michigan, no matter what, will ALWAYS be the place i call home:)
I left Port Huron Michigan and moved to Missouri for work...but Michigan is in my soul..and my heart breaks everyday wanting to move back and spend my life there..there is no place like it that i have seen...alot of nature and water and old fashioned areas...not over developed or bare like other states..just too bad there isnt jobs there right now :(
I moved here from Denver and I just love Michigan, you natives really do take it for granted, I will never leave here, there is a calmness to the beauty here unlike anywhere else, beautiful state.
I grew up on a Lake Michigan beach and completely took it for granted. I was actually a little disappointed when I first saw an ocean. Lake Michigan, my god-- its fantastic. Nothing compares.
Michigan is a GEM. Tim Allen has the voice that can lure even those of us who live in Michigan to visit Michigan sites over and over again. I love these commercials. I love Michigan.
uggghhh...how can you even say that? ohio is the epitome of a drive-thru state. I consider ohio michigan's bathroom (it's even shaped like one and positioned as such).
Look, I love Michigan deeply, no other place beats is as far as I am concerned. However, I do think that you do not need to insult someone else's home state.
I love Michigan with all my heart and soul, but your snipe at Ohio is really uncalled for. I've been to some really beautiful places in Ohio, and only someone who hasn't really been there would write what you did. For ages, people have dismissed Michigan the same way. If it's not fair to us, then it's not fair to Ohio.
@tamcon72 good point. My brother lives in ohio. We drove back from his place down to Kentucky a few years ago and I was amazed at the natural beauty of Ohio landscape, over and over for miles. This whole country is stunning, surely Michigan is also.
I'm so grateful to have grown up in Michigan.

i absolutely love this ad campaign..
the footage..the glorious music from rachel portman..
but mostly the message about slowing down..
priorities...backing up from the harried hectic life we all
seem lost in.
souls lost...yearning to be found...in a simpler way of life.
simple beauty.
whoever put these ads together is a genius and totally in touch with
the yearning of the 21st century person.

great display of Michigan's natural wonders, especially the Lake Superior images.
The Michigan shorelines are the midwest's highlights.

I know exactly what you mean! Twice I have found the ocean to be a singularly underwhelming experience.
